I went here once for a haircut and then a second time for a blowout. The haircut was okay. My hair is hard to style since I have a lot of it. It was a bit too choppy for me. Next time I returned for a last minute blowout. I was charged more than I was quoted on the phone which was much higher than most salons. It was over $ 40, which is way overpriced for Staten Island. The stylist did a good job, but overall I wasn’t impressed. Not to mention one of the employees spilled my coffee I just purchased from Dunkin Donuts and barely apologized. I don’t plan to return.

Wow… you know the saying ‘sometimes you just need to take leap of faith «well I did and I am so glad!!! Relocating here from Long Island almost a year ago it was truly no longer practical to travel back there to have my hair cut and colored! I went online and scoured reviews, and I chose this lovely salon! I was able to make my appointment on line, which was great. Amanda from the salon called the next day to confirm the appointment and to see if I wanted to come in to go over what I wanted done (cut, color, ballyage– just make my hair gorgeous) I came in first thing this morning and met Melanee, she is wonderful and so talented. I am pretty low maintenance, but there is that small aspect that you hope you aren’t going to regret when you have to change salons… I was immediately at ease, showed Melanee a couple of photos for color and cut, she agreed and made a couple of great suggestions. She told me upfront what the cost was — which I found very reasonable– considering I was having so much done!
End result– gorgeous color, soft soft sunkissed highlights and a fabulous cut! The best thing is they are so close to my home, have great hours and everyone there is so talented!

I just got the best haircut here this morning! I haven’t had a hair cut in really long time, and I felt pretty bad about letting it go, but Stephanie and Danielle took great care of me. Danielle made sure I was completely comfortable with the amount she was going to cut, and I’m so impressed with how great my hair looks and feels. I will definitely be back for more hair cuts there! I also have to say that I really love interior it feels so cosy in there!

I came here because they are supposed to be really good for curly hair. I got the scrunch cut and I wasn’t satisfied at all. I also got one of their seasonal treatments because the stylist talked me into it and instead of helping my hair it made it really oily and it took me weeks to get it back to normal. When I told the stylist she was really condescending and blamed my hair and how I style it instead of helping me. I wouldn’t come back here. I ended up going somewhere else where the results were much better.

Love this place! If anyone I know asks where they should get their hair done, I will tell them to go here, no matter what borough they live in! I used to go to Lisa when she was in The Secret Garden. Now she opened up her own business so this is my new hair spot.
Lisa really is the best. She’s super sweet. She will sit with you and discuss what you want done before doing anything. I’m always a little nervous that my hair stylist will just start doing their own thing (it’s happened to me before). Not with Lisa. She gives great tips/​advice but will ultimately do what you ask for.
I recently went to her to have my brown hair dyed a golden blonde. I was super nervous but it turned out amazing! I absolutely love my haircut and color!

I have been going to Lisa for years, she’s extremely talented, passionate and knowledgeable about hair. She is astonishing with all kinds of hair. I have curly long hair, and her blowouts, cuts and color are always perfect. She takes her time and listens to what you want, she treats your hair as if it were her own. You want to try something new? Lisa always has so many wonderful ideas or new techniques. I tend to receive a tremendous amount of compliments when I’m actually due for a cut and color, that’s when you know you have an amazing stylist! The salon has just recently opened and it’s a classy chic yet feel at home kind of salon. The girls at salon are so sweet, friendly and experienced, and more importantly they all love what they do. Simply put, if you want the very best go to Marucci’s ! You will not be disappointed!

A friend of mine had a coupon for a blowout and asked me to come with. I was so happy that I decided to go. All the girls were friendly and took care of us the second we walked in. I was served Sangria and taken for my hair wash. Whatever they used on my hair made it the silkiest and healthiest I swear it’s ever been in my life. I have very long and thick hair, and I’ve sometimes had salons complain when I ask for a blowout because it is so much. Not these girls! Love them and will definitely go back.

if i can rate this salon 100 stars (scissors?) i would! I have been a client of Lisa since she was at a different salon. I have been going to her over a year now. She is a magician! Seriously, my hair never has looked so good until it was in her hands. Marucci Hair Design is a cute salon where you feel at home right away from the moment you go inside. The whole staff are extremely sweet, super attentive and want to make sure their clients are happy. Lisa taught me how to work with my curls so not only does my hair look great when she does it at the salon, but I can also easily recreate it at home. She also colors my hair and my color is shiny, bright & brilliant. She has a great eye for color. And let’s say once in a while you want your curls straight (hey, we all need a change now and again right) — she gives the best blow out in the entire universe! Soe blow dries the hair with care, using heat protection making sure not to damage it. My hair was never so bouncy and straight without the use of a flat iron! It looked and felt like silk! My hair is light blonde and shiny and it is all thanks to her! I can’t recommend this place enough!

I went here out of the blue when I needed a trim. I wanted to like this place. It seems nice enough until you sit down to get your hair cut. One of the owners cut my hair and she was very critical of the style I wanted. I asked her to just follow my cut and she was kind of was sarcastic about that. I just got the vibe that she didn’t want to. Of course she didn’t follow the cut. When she was done I told her that one side was longer than the other and she wouldn’t accept that. She told me it wasn’t and she wouldn’t fix it, even though clearly in the mirror you could see that the right side was longer than the left. I could tell that a lot of their clients seemed like their personal friends and if you weren’t one of those friends they had no use for you. She wasn’t really friendly. I wouldn’t recommend them.
