My family and I were ordering from this restaurant for literally 20+ years and they use to be amazing, but do not value loyal customers. First of all, their portions have gotten smaller and the price has went up. Secondly, they would not deliver a meal of $ 8.75 because it is under the $ 10 min, which I get, but we’ve been dining here for 20+ years, not cool.

Out of all Chinese restaurants on Staten Island, this one is my favorite. I usually sit down to eat on Friday nights with my fiancé. We both order a combo meal and it is always delicious. The staff here is so wonderful an sweet. They remembered me an my fiancé after only the second time coming in. The waitresses stay on top of you which is a change for once. You don’t have to flag down your waitress for another drink, they are very attentive to you. The prices aren’t to bad for the amount of food you get either. Their take out is just as goof but I would recommend coming an sitting down. You won’t regret it!

I have been ordering from here for at least 8 years, I the beginning they were fantastic, food wasn’t greasy and didn’t taste like yesterday’s leftovers. recently… horrible. .everything so greasy. .sauces lack flavor… but yet. a few weeks ago my wife and I said… let’s try actually dining at the restaurant instead of delivery and might I say the food was delicious! ! I had the lucky pan brown chicken, the sauce was gr8, had some kick to it. my wife had the boneless chicken and devoured it. the sauce we get from delivery is horrible. .but when it’s fresh… outstanding. so I stand by my 3 stars… because 2 stars for delivery…4 stars for dining in… so 3 it is…

Absolutely disgusting. I will never go back. I got a take out order and when I got it home the smell was terrible. It went directly into the garbage. I called to complain and the person who answered the phone could not speak English only to say nobody complains. BS

My friend and I have come in about several times. The food is normally good but we don’t usually get anything past vegetables. However recently after eating from here, an extreme nausea kicked in for the both of us. Considering it was one of the two meals I ate today and the first consisted of fruits, it was pretty clear something must have gone wrong considering it happened to both my friend and me. But anyways, while we were there I got a call due to a serious emergency and explained such to my waitress and that we had to leave. When she gave the bill and my friend gave her his card, she said that their systems were down and that we needed to pay cash. Unfortunately my friend does not carry much cash on him, and when he does it consists of a few dollars. I normally don’t either but thankfully, I did today, so I managed to pay. My issue with this is that God forbid I didn’t have cash, what would they have done? If their systems were down they should have let us know prior to ordering God forbid neither one of us had cash. Very unprofessional. After paying for the bill I asked for change, and my friend with the cash he did have in his wallet left her a tip. Considering I was in a rush, I walked up to the front while she was collecting my change rather than waiting at the table so I could run out. As I picked up my change, this woman deliberately questioned us about whether or not we gave her a tip. I was slightly appalled. Do not get me wrong, I serve tables myself at a restaurant, I understand it’s a struggle, but by NOMEANS, do you question a customer like that. Especially when I was in a rush due to a very serious family emergency and she is here questioning me about leaving a tip that was already on her table… It may not be that serious to others but it was just a nuisance and to be honest quite rude especially during a time I was rushing to get out…

For the most part I enjoy the food here, The Dine in has great service, food served fast and very hot. Very good tasting Chinese food, the soup could use some help like salt or some more flavor. take out is fast and again the food is always hot. I eat there almost once a week and a few times I was not 100% happy(chicken dry or over cooked and beef a little tough) but this happens very rear. They have an A rating on the window, at the time this was posted.

We have been ordering from them for a couple of years now. The website is easy to navigate and i like that they offer a discount without having to search for a separate code Delivery is always prompt and the food is ok for take out.

Had to give it three stars. We ordered food here for about 4 years now, they used to be awesome, but lately its been a hit or miss, every third time or so the food tastes awefull, deep fried orders were dipped in old oil, rolls have bad components and make the whole roll in-edible… Waiting to order one more time, and if its messed up again we are done with this place. PS, Peking duck is really delicious all the time, but thats all.

This was my first time ordering from them — and it will be my last. I only wish there was a way to give LESS than one star! I ordered a Happy Family, Boneless Ribs and House Special Fried Rice. The ribs had that disgusting ‘bad pork’ taste(tasted like a ‘pig’ — not like pork, if you know what I mean), they were burned and overly drenched with BBQ sauce that tasted old — to say the least. The Happy Family had some kind of bad meat or seafood in it — ITWASDISGUSTING! It smelled and tasted like DIRTY FEETl! We couldn’t eat it. We threw away what we had served ourselves. The rice wasn’t TERRIBLE — the pork just had that same ‘pig taste’, so we just picked out the pork. It was near closing when I bought the food. So I brought the food back the following night after I got home. After explaining the above to them, they kept insisting I had to call the DAY the food was ordered. They either couldn’t — or wouldn’t understand that I COULDNOT call that day — BECAUSETHEYWERECLOSED! DUH, HELLO??? THEN, to boot, just like one of the other reviewers said: they wanted the food that was eaten/discarded. Mind you, I was there with the REMAINDER of the food — LESS than half had been removed/served/discarded. I was like: AREYOUSERIOUS? When they started laughing at me, and trying to make me feel stupid for not bringing ALL of the food back, then implying that I was just trying to get free food… I told them«that’s alright. Don’t worry about it; I just won’t order from you again. Neither will my friends or family». I can’t understand these people … they didn’t even want to TRY and make it right; not even an EFFORT! If, in fact, it was an isolated incident, they would have nothing to fear or hide. They’d realize that BAD word of mouth is MOREDAMAGING to a business than GOOD word of mouth is helpful. Oh well, chalk it up to experience. Shame on me for not reading the reviews BEFORE ordering! PLEASE … save yourself some heartache, and some money. There are more than enough good — even GREAT Chinese restaurants in the Great Kills/Huguenot area. I wouldn’t wish this place on a snake!

Food was excellent as usual. We’ve been eating their food, usually delivery, for years. Ate in the restaurant the other night. Food was good. HOWEVER, the Johnny Walker Black @ $ 13.00 was both VERYSHORT&VERYLIGHT! TOTALRIPOFF!!! The steak kew @ $ 17.00, while delicious, only had five VERYSMALLPIECESOFMEAT! Another rip off! We would never order it again. We wouldn’t eat dinner in the restaurant again, especially now, learning of the B rating. I may be through with this place. I left there, feeling violated & robbed. Egg Foo was fabulous, again, a B rating & ripping you off on the drinks! INTOLERABLE!!!

Worst Chinese food I’ve had I must say, I ordered chicken Wings and when I got them they still had a bunch of feathers on them! The chicken looked old or over cooked and tasted bad, my girlfriends dish was just chicken and broccoli and she couldn’t finish it. I’ve been to hole in the wall places that blow this place away, don’t let the looks of this place fool you because it’s terrible. I normally order from ho wok I just happen to order from them since I was picking up my laundry next door. The funny thing is I seen all the reviews after I placed my order and it was too late. I read a review about the board of Heath sticker being hidden, it’s true they hide it next to a column and isn’t in good view. They must not be happy about that B rating, i will definitely not be ordering anymore from them.

they can stick it. I forgot my coupon and they were like SORRY… very very very sarcastic. they said I was going to make them work for no salary… really? the coupon was worth $ 5. This is typical situation when restaurants make stupid decisions. Food is not that great that I need lip service from order taker behind counter. SEEYA

Writing this review didn’t even make it into the restaurant! Upon walking in I tried to find the letter grade from the New York health department, it was hidden all the way to the left of the main windows. Why was it all the way over there because it was a… B… That being there are live roaches present! That made me turn around and walk the other way. Why is it so hard for restaurants to keep clean especially Chinese this is an open kitchen also I find it disgusting. I also did not like the sneakiness of the restaurant to hide the letter it should be right on the front door, I will be making a phone call to the New York City Health Department and reporting them for that. I know restaurants in the past you never knew but now that I do it makes me very weary about going out to dinner!

Nothing special at all, typical cheap chinese food. Wonton soup lacked flavor, and shrimp dumplings smelled unnatural. Sesame chicken, lomein was ok. So many food places these days lack passion and uniqueness of taste, I can always taste it in their mass produced food when they’re in it just for the money.

This is our go to place for Chinese food in Great Kills. Not the best out there but not terrible either. I mainly stick with the safe stuff– boneless spare ribs, wonton soup, fried rice, dumplings all usually pretty tasty. Quick delivery or pick up– not a bad choice for Chinese.

There’s no shortage of take-out places in Great Kills, but Lucky Fortune stands out as one of our favorites. The food usually arrives at my doorstep in less than 30 minutes and is always hot and fresh. We love ordering sushi from here because it’s tasty and affordable. Although we’ve never actually eaten in the restaurant, I’d like to one day. Get the pu-pu platter — you won’t be disappointed!

Correction **** USED to love this place. Just ordered today, and was the worst Chinese food experience ever. My chicken was old, over cooked, and tasted like a sponge. Why am I paying to get garbage food ?? Didn’t even eat it. Went straight into the garbage. Never again! Love this place !! All other Chinese food places always have a weird taste to their food but this place is awesome !! My new Chinese spot !!!

I’ve mostly ordered take out and after their renovations, I’ve eaten in once or twice. Lucky fortune serves both chinese and sushi so that’s nice if you’d like to switch it up. They have specials too which are a bit more forgiving on the wallet.

Ive only ordered take out from this place and I really like it. They are always on time and when you call in, they have all your information saved so you dont have to repeat it every-time you call. The sushi prices are pretty good and the fish is always fresh. I’m not the biggest fan of the spicy tuna roll. I do want to go inside and try the service. Will try to make it in there one night to see how it is.
