High Society Salon

I can’t believe I never reviewed as I’ve been going to this salon for ever. As has my mom. My mom is picky as all hell and she’s a dedicated customer; that tells you a lot. She always sees Maria and she’s always got silky locks.
I usually see Christina for cuts and finally just got a color done. I wanted silver ombré a la the granny trend and went in convinced that was a good idea. But Christina knows what she’s doing and she knows my hair, didn’t want to damage my already very damaged hair (no, my hair is real bad: my cousin is always box dying my hair because she’s like the CVS colorist queen but there’s a real danger to that, just ask the inches I cut off last year), and so we pulled off a different blonde ish highlights look. It actually is stunning and my hair isn’t wrecked by bleach damage. I really respect a stylist that works with you, it makes for a good relationship and fosters trust which is important for that which you wear on your head every day. Haha.
Also: my hair was really red and she brought it to brown and blonde. Her color skills are on point.
They’re professionals, they’re skilled at what they do. Never had a bad experience. Everyone is sweet and friendly and they have coffee and cookies and it’s lovely.
Expect to pay, though. They are pricey because they know they’re good. Lol!

I am extremely happy with Anjela’s work!!! She is amazing. I went in to get a trim and shorten up my bangs. She did a wonderful job. She is very friendly. I don’t talk much while getting my hair done and she wasn’t pushy at all about having a conversation which I liked a lot. She seemed very focused. She did such a great job that I decided to make an appointment to lighten up my dark coppery red hair. I showed her a picture and she matched it perfectly. I was so amazed. Definitely someone I will continue to come back to. Thank you Anjela.
And the salon itself is super cute, warm, and inviting. Everyone is always very friendly. And I like the music they play.

First time at salon was early October. Renee did a beautiful job of blended highlights on my brunette.hair. Very natural looking, according to everyone who stops to comment. Nice to receive compliments as I try to age gracefully. Thanks, Renee!

I have been going to the stylist Christina on and off for years. She’s very talented, always does a good job and knows what I want to do without me having to say too much. The staff is friendly, the prices are fair, and the feel is quite homey. Want coffee? Want water? Want to eat a slice you brought in your purse? Well, I got news for you: you can!

You have to get hair and make-​up done by Renee Rockefeller !!! What an amazing transformation, and with my hair in the condition it was in, I MEAN AMAZING! Renee helped ease my fear of those «beauty salon horrors» that I have been through in my life! Before her, I hadn’t stepped into a salon for quite a few years because I had simply given up. When I did go, it was just for a wash&set and nothing else! Everywhere I went I was never able to get what I wanted because of my thick curly hair. I never received a good hair cut, most stylists were scared to cut my hair before it was blown out straight, resulting in a doo that was misshaped when it was time to wear my curls again. Not Renee! She knows how to cut curly hair. She showed a high attentiveness to how the curls fell and «reacted» while cutting, showing confidence in what she was doing for me AND giving me peace of mind! Every concern I had about my past salon experiences, she answered by recommending to me what she thought would help, what would look good and walked me through all of the processes and products being used. I even gave her free reign as far as what color to use for my hair and she remained true to her styling passion for hair resulting in a fit that bought out the best in my skin tone and overall look!!! Most stylists, I have consulted with in the past, would recommend something that would’ve left me feeling like I was wearing a wig. As you will see in the picture I provided, I looked ten years younger for my wedding! I am still receiving compliments! I knew upon looking at her and her work, that there was something different. Someone I can trust. Once I was in her chair, those feelings were CONFIRMED one-​by-​one! Thank you Renee as well as the friendly, down-​to-​earth staff at High Society Salon!

This salon is the best!!! I come all the way from NJ just to get my hair done here. I go to Christina who is amazing. I am a fake blond and you know how hard it is to make fake blond hair not brassy and look natural. Well Christina perfects it! I get so many compliments on the blond color she does. It is so beautiful. You can’t even tell i’m not a real blond. I also get my hair cut as well by Christina, and its always just right! Thanks Christina for being such a great beautician! I highly recommand anyone to come here!!!

If you ask for Renee she’s amazing! She actually will cut your hair the way you want it to be! And she styles great :) recommend her highly!
