Food here is great! They cater to your needs. For example I prefer brown rice and when I order shrimp fried rice they make it with brown rice (you need to specify) also I eat a low sodium diet and they cater that to. I love their BBQ ribs. My hubby and I order every Friday! You won’t be disappointed.

This is the only place i order chinese food from. Its close to my house, usually i order to pick up food and its always ready in 10 mins. The staff is always friendly and always gives enough sauces. Ive never had a bad reaction to their food, and ive tried a little bit of everything. My favorite things to order are: chicken wings, pork fried rice, french fries, sesame chicken, general tsos chicken and broccoli.

It’s hard to find good Chinese food in Staten Island, and this one isn’t great, but it’ll do. This place is probably one of the better Chinese take-​outs in the area but you can consider that a slam on the other Asian eateries in the area. The quality of food is better for lunch. All of the employees are cool though. There are tables there but the place is small. You can tell it’s built for delivery and take-​out. Dine-​in if you have nowhere else to go.

The food here is very good. Everything I have tried is pretty good. The woman that takes the orders both over the phone and in person Is very nasty. She acts like you are bothering her or begging her for free food. Otherwise i would probably eat here more often.

Only Chinese take out near my house that I go to. Staff is friendly and the food is good.
I usually come during lunch specials cause price is right and portions are large!
The broccoli is always the way I like it. Fresh and with a crunch!
The chicken is always good, rice is a bit wet rather than «fried rice» but I like it that way lol
The shrimp wonton was decent.
Crab ragoon is a must every time i order here.
Hot and sour soup was okay. Wonton soup is better.
The noodles here are good too! Like the shrimp lo Mein, shrimp chow fun!

I get a craving for Chinese food only about once every couple of months but when I do I order from Golden Star. There is a Chinese restaurant a few blocks from me that is not bad, but GS gives more food for lower prices. You can get the lunch special from 11 to 4 and it’s a great deal. Large portions, efficient service and my order today arrived in 20 minutes. Recommended.

Do not get the general Taos or sesame chicken because you you will only be getting rice and batter, this place is horrible for that. The rice was mediocre the egg roll was full of oil and the wonton soup was average. The general Taos chicken was absolutely enraging, I will not be Coming here ever again.

Given the fact that it is Staten Island, it would probably be the best Chinese take out that you should consider. Otherwise, consider buying your Chinese food from a take out in Brooklyn and take it back to Staten Island. Sad, but true.

Great Chinese food. Best place I have found in Staten Island so far and this is like the 6th place I’ve tried. Before I got off the phone ordering they told me they were a super busy, I appreciated that. I wasn’t expecting a speedy delivery, but the wait was not bad at all. Great size meals, great soup, and great egg rolls.
I am definitely ordering from here again.

What a disappointment. The tables were dirty with a coating of dirt — I had to clean them myself — I wonder what the kitchen is like… The rice was bland and seemed to be old. Although the vegetables were crisp and fresh, the overall meal lacked flavor and the sauce was something that could have come out of a can. I wish the meal was better. Tack’s Chinese is a million times better.

I live just a few blocks and ordered a ton of food with my friend. The delivery guy dropped off my food and my soda was missing. Just a can. I really needed soda that day. Badly… So I called the restaurant and asked that they deliver and they said no, initially. They asked if they could just «owe» me a soda for next time. I was admittedly, a little bitchy when I said «I never order from you so that wouldn’t work.» But that’s what soda deprivation does to someone… Anyway, they still refused due to the gas problem here (Hurricane Sandy) and that’s when I agreed to get my soda next time.
10 minutes later, delivery guy is back with my single can of soda. That was really nice and totally unnecessary but next time I want Chinese food, I’m calling them.
As far as their food goes, it was pretty decent, huge portions, I have leftovers 3 days later still and there’s no end as far as I can see.

Best take out Chinese restaurant ive ever tasted. I’m from jersey and i rather travel pay toll n gas just to order from here then get something local. Eat in restaurant type food in a take out place. Singapore noodles, sesame shrimp are the 2 i normally order but ive ordered others from the menu and they do not disappoint… Only problem is it only has 4 table kinda of wishing it was a restaurant so we can enjoy the food inside.
