We were there at night on December 18th to buy a gift card, the staff at the registers was really helpful.

Standard large chain store. I found that a lot of the clothing is «picked over» and it was difficulty to get a matching outfit with all the trimmings. They have services for baby gifts, shower events and photos.

The store is very big, but like most Babies R Us stores, the items on the registry are never where they say they are. There is definitely a lot to choose from. This store is a lot more organized than other locations, but the registry department needs some fixing. The line can get long, but moves quickly.

I’m pregnant so my best friend purchased a Snoogle for me(one of those long pregnancy pillows). She had told me that if I didn’t like the pillow I was able to return it even if I used it. The next day I went to take it out of the pillow bag & use it. When I first opened it I thought it had a little smell to it but I thought that was just from the plastic it was in so I just shook the thought, I go to get comfortable on it & I see two little BLOOD stains on the pillow. Skeeved out, I called Babies R Us on Richmond Ave because that’s where I do my business. I got the manager on the phone & explained everything to him. He told me if someone returns the pillow, they’re supposed to damage it out. Obviously that didn’t happen here & at that point I wasn’t even sure if my friend purchased the pillow from that Babies R Us so I asked him if I was able to return the pillow without the receipt as long as it rang up in their system. He told me no even if I wanted to do an even exchange. I then called my friend & told her the story which I didn’t even want to do because who wants to hear that after they bought a nice gift? She had the receipt & made sure she called the Babies R Us on Tysons lane where she got it & they said it was fine I could return it & they didn’t seem to care that the pillow was disgusting. That weekend I went to do my registry at Babies R Us on Richmond Ave. I gave them the pillow first to hold for me so I can exchange it after I did my registry. When I was finally done, I go on the line to exchange the pillow & the nasty older woman behind customer service said she couldn’t exchange the pillow because what I had was an invoice(my friend ordered the pillow online & did an in store pickup) not a receipt. CLEARLY the invoice said Babies R Us & she knew that was their product & she refused to exchange it for me. UNTIL, what do you know, my husband turned to her & said we’ll just delete the registry we just did with you guys & take our business elsewhere. Magically, she was then able to exchange the pillow. I didn’t appreciate the hard time that she gave me & that she claimed she couldn’t exchange the pillow until I threatened her. They need to be more careful with what they’re selling. While I was walking around doing my registry I do have to say that the employees that work there were helpful when I had questions. One employee, Devon, was especially helpful with car seats, pack n plays & swings. If the whole staff was as helpful as he was, I would’ve given this review 5 stars.

Love — Lots of much needed things for the babiez. Great sales. Just got car seat upgrades for the twins at 20% off. Great deals on Pampers too. I stocked up on Earth’s Best(40% off!!!) organic baby food. Why do the sales people have to be so lazy and daft(I don’t really know what that means, but I heard it on LOST and now I have to use it)? In Between — Fairly well organized, except when you need to find 100% cotton PJ’s in sizes bigger than 6 months. Hate — The customer service, if you can call it that, will have you spending 20+ minutes of your life waiting for bad customer service. BAD.

I can understand the screaming kids, being a parent myself… After a while you just tune it out… My problem is with the raving mothers, circling the racks like hungry vultures, not afraid to use some of mother natures best techniques to scare away potential intruders… Ladies, we are not talking about your kids, but CLOTHES that your precious snowflake would wear. Yes, everything needs restocking and has a sad, empty look. I have to hide under the bottles of Enfamil, I see a pack of discount hunting mommies coming this way. If anything happens to me, tell my wife I lov 23klerjngtbvip …

is it wrong to complain about screaming children in a children’s store? if you could only have heard the blood-curling screams coming from the mouths of the shoppers here… leave your children at home!!! the toy department was severely needing a restocking. the shelves were EMPTY. big disappointment since i needed toys.
