Ambrosino’s Pizzeria

Pizza is on the money. Staff is fast polite. Family owned and they treat you the same. It’s like cheers opened a pizzeria.

I always call for pickup and the pizza is there ready for pickup within 15 minutes. LOVE it! And I love pizza. They’re so awesome, last Valentines day, I picked up a fun heart shaped pizza which I’m thankful for.

Very solid food all around. They also make excellent soups. Try the Stracciatella or Escarole Bean (choose white or red beans).

Their white pie is great. I no longer live in NYC and I’m glad I can get my fix from here when I’m in town.

Great Sicilian pizza & great wings. Ordered from them before, great food. Delivery is free but of course you give a tip.

I’ve been here a few times, their pizza is pretty good, but today I ordered the penne alla vodka pasta with chicken, but i didn’t like it too much. Not much flavor, seems too plain. I like when the sauce is creamier too. Totally not ordering this again

Got the Sicilian with fresh mozzerella and marinara for $ 23.5 and used a $ 3 coupon that comes with the menu. The total came to $ 21.50. Tasted great, no burnt bottoms and the delivery was quick. Surely there are better pizzas on the island but I have no complaints about Ambrosinios.

Personally speaking I have never had a bad food experience at Ambrosino’s. I have brought multiple friends to the Pizzeria and all really enjoyed their slices. They also make really good panini’s as well. I highly recommend ordering garlic knots they are so good! Overall delicious pizza for a good price.

I find their food and pizza to be pretty good although we usually go to another local place. Why? Well, first off, they aren’t all that friendly and sometime you get ignored. Today I went there because it was close to another store I had to go to. Well, the guy behind the counter was smoking outside, then proceeded to go back behind the counter and blow his nose, then, unfortunately, he touched my daughter’s slice with the same hands that he used to smoke and blow his nose without ever washing them. That is a mental image I can do without. Thankfully, it wasn’t my pizza!

Their pizza is really good. I find the pizzerias in the neighborhood to be lacking, and came across this one while trying to pick a new regular place.
Their spinach artichoke slice is amazing, I highly recommend it.
Their garlic knots are also great — not dry, and really packed with fresh garlic.
They’re friendly and quick, and reasonably priced.

Best soups in the neighborhood, surprisingly. Also love their Buffalo Chicken pizza. The Buffalo Chicken Salad is good too. Good thing they started accepting credit cards, because I want one of everything here and I don’t even eat pizza often. They deliver.

Came in for a quick slice of pizza, and I am very satisfied. Was lucky to have the slice from the pizza that just came out of the oven.

The fact that the older staff inside seem like pretty solid people is the only thing that saves this place from getting 1 star. The pizza is not only awful but has actually made me sick on more then one ocassion. All the teenage workers inside are lazy and would rather chat about whatever as your slice is sitting in their oven burning away. if you are forced at gun point to get something from this place get a chicken parm slice

Average pizza, good specialties and poor delivery. Very slow and food arrives luke warm to almost cold. And rude nasty people working there.
1^st time I ordered there, took almost an hour and 15 mins for the food to show up. Cheese feel off pizza and forgot the soda, never came back.
So I never called them again.
Stopped in the other night, after shopping at D.Reade. ordered a few different slices to go, they throw the day old looking pizzas in a box, didn’t even say one word of greeting or thanks. Rang it in, took my $ 20.00 bill and handed me my change.
Maybe years ago this place was decent, but from the word of reviews. this place has declined to a less then 1 star pizza place. There are so many other choices on the island, real close by as well.

Fell in love with the pizza there a couple of years ago. Good sized slices and the sauce is delicious. The pizza was so good that I had to bring back two large pizzas (frozen) to L.A., and it was still just as tasty two days later!!!

My sister Victoria H introduced me to this restaurant 4 years ago. Ambrosino’s is located on Amboy road in the Oakwood heights section of Staten Island and it has mouthwatering pizza. Last time I drove to her place to cat-​sit I took a minor detour because this pizza is worth it. Their garlic gnots are also delicious! There are seats if a person wants to eat in, but not enough for a large party of diners. Overall I highly recommend this to anyone who appreciates a well made pizza.

YUP. This is my local house of pizza. You’d think here on the rock of Staten, every italian place makes good pizza, after all, the city’s Italians flock to this borough in droves… but I have found we can’t all do pizza right. More on that in another review… but this place, is my neighborhood fave, serving up thin crusted, sauced and cheesed the right way (almost always) pizza. The entrees aren’t half bad either.
