Affective LCSW Services

Easy to find. I was instructed to show up early to fill out intake paperwork before a 10:30 appointment. I showed up at 10:10 as instructed however the employee who opens up shop did not arrive until 10:30 therefore the whole process was pushed back and I wasted 20 minutes waiting outside. For some who are embarrassed of the stigma of using these services, that could’ve been a deterrent. I am not embarrassed by anything though so I stuck through. Intake was a thorough 10 minute paperwork process and then a half an hour meeting with what I’m assuming is a LMSW. Inside is a waiting room with some outdated flyers posted up and some hail mary plays by real estate agents to garner business. Dress code of staff is business casual I guess and one of the front desk women wore a baseball hat and no make up. There could be more effort to put forth a more professional appearance. Will continue to frequent this location because of proximity. Actual experience with LMSW was pleasant and she asked excellent follow up questions, demonstrated genuine empathy.
