For the right price, anything can happen. This space is apparently usually full of chairs and set up for concerts. However, my company rented this space for an evening dinner, so Harrah’s took out all the normal chairs and added sofas, plush chairs and marble tables, and opened up the dance floor for the partay. Around 150 of us fit in comfortably. Sofas and chairs were arranged in a booth-like configuration, and booths were spread out in the semi-circle around the dance floor. It was nice to be able to hear people in my booth without people having to shout, that is until the rock band showed up and things got really loud. By then, people were just rocking out on the dance floor! Buffet-style catering was done by the hotel and served up from the adjacent kitchen. There was salad, beef and chicken sliders, tacos, ice cream and popcorn. Really great stuff. This place seems decent for either a normal concert or a special event. If you’re planning an event for 200 or fewer people, get in touch with Harrah’s and see what’s possible!

This is a nice showroom and about the right size to see a concert. The prices are reasonable for their concerts and shows also. The lighting is good and the seats are comfortable. However, when we were at the Travis Tritt concert the sound system kept going out. It’s too bad that the sound system was bad as the concert was great. Really hard to conceive how they could have sound problems at a concert as I’m sure that they sound checked and did testing and maintenance, etc.

Got offered free tickets to see Jeff Bridges play with his band through Harrah’s Total Rewards player program. Our seats were fine, about 8 rows back off to the stage left. The offer came with four free drink tickets which we used to grab beers and my new fav, a madras(vodka with orange juice and cranberry juice). Mmmm, tasty and strong enough to make me want to lose a few bucks at the slots. I’m pretty sure I saw Hootie and the Blowfish play here about a decade ago. Don’t judge me. They were free tickets too.

I’m writing this review because before our trip I could not find any accurate information online about what to expect at this venue. So, you’re welcome in advance. We saw a seated show on a Saturday night and sat on the right hand side on the venue in the first row of the second level. We were off to the side of the center, but I thought the view from the seats was excellent. It’s a pretty small place(maybe 300 seats?) but it seemed like there would be a good view from anywhere in there. I think this place is some kind of nightclub most of the time, so they set up chairs on the dance floor for shows like this. There are two bars in the venue which serve crappy wine and beer and a limited selection of mixed drinks(again: usually a night club). We had two beers that were like $ 6/each. They do not serve dinner or any other kind of food. But, you can go in and out during the show so long as you hang onto your ticket stub. The staff was super friendly. The sound was OK, not the best I’ve experienced but good enough. Overall, a great little venue that seems to attract a good selection of talent.
