Montbleu Cafe

Completely disappointed in the lack of service and food. Ordered nachos to share and they were served cold. The cheese was no longer warm and the beef, while there was plenty of it on the plate, appeared to never have ever been heated at all. We had to flag down two employees before we could find our waitress to report the issue. There are to many other good restaurants in the area to waste your time and money here.

Seated pretty quickly, the café wasn’t that crowded. A busser came by to take our drink orders and he delivered them also. But it took another 10 minutes before a waiter came to take our order (same with the table next to us). We ordered a burger with fries, chicken fried steak with eggs over easy, and some dim sum (siu mai, pork buns, and pot stickers). It took an hour and ten minutes for the food to arrive. We were tempted to leave a few bucks on the table for the water and go.
When the food finally arrived, it was underwhelming. Skip the dim sum if you come here. You’d do better buying the frozen ones at the store and making them yourself (these were probably frozen also, but the cook didn’t bother to steam them — they seemed to have been nuked). No excuse for taking that long for food, and especially with no contact from the wait staff during that time.

NO MORE TACO’S!!! They do not have the Taco’s special they were known for plus they have a breakfast special… but you can only get it if you have a coupon from the slot machines. worst $ 15 omelet I’ve ever had

This diner is fairly competent. When it gets busy they dont have the staff to serve anyone. Its in a casino and they dont staff it. The menu is fair and the food is ok. Really nothing else to say about it.

At first we were told that it will take an hour or more (!) to be seated for dinner because we were 8 ppl and nobody told us that theres a waiting list, although we walk by the café an hour before and checked out the menu.
Thanks to Penny, the restautant supervisor, the problem was solved pretty quickly in a satisfactory manner, and we were seated in a special section of the restaurant.
Our waiter was very nice and professional, the food was good and because of the inconvenience endured at the beginning, they didnt charged us for appetizers and desserts.
Thumbs up to Penny and the rest of the staff for an enjoyable dinner after all.

I come to Montbleu quite a bit for concerts and a few times a month during football season to place some bets. I have eaten at the café a few times and each time the food was horrible and blah! I do however like to come here for their happy hour drink specials which are very good in price. I actually had a concert to go to and had to leave the café because 35 minutes after I ordered my food I was still sitting there empty handed. So, not really very good experience when it comes to the food part of the café.

We got $ 2 fish tacos and $ 1 carne asada and carnitas tacos. They were fantastic! The place was very smoky so I couldn’t stay long and the kids hated it.

Even though it’s not an actual starbucks it’s pretty dang close. The baristas know their coffee well and they know what to add into drinks to get make me the kind of drink I’m in the mood for. Stephanie is always extremely helpful and patient. Plus she’s always smiling and seems to genuinely like helping customers. Great customer service and awesome staff!

Typical Starbucks but without the entire range of sandwiches. Very courteous staff.

Stayed there with some friends for a couple of day love the girls down at the coffee shop always happy always friendly… got to show these girls some love they have a hard job dealing with people like me everyday, Stephanie was wonderful friendly Elena was great very knowledgeable about everything really went above and beyond the call of there jobs .I must say that it wasn’t just me they were like that with as I sat there watching drinking my coffee these girls treated everyone special I was amazed there aren’t very many please like that left. also the food was wonderful ham and cheese croissants were so good I will be back for more

Want a cheap breakfast? For $ 3.99 this is a simple, good breakfast! It won’t do if you’re super hungry but you can order two! We stopped there on our way out of Tahoe to try their buffet. No breakfast buffet. Had to get a players card to get the $ 3.99 deal, so saving $ 5 per person worth it for 4 of us. Lost way more than that gambling there! Service is real slow so don’t be in a hurry. Doubt we will stop there again.

Went here last night and the food was pretty good. I’ve had better. The chicken was dry and the shrimp in the seafood like «gumbo was way over cooked. I think its because they have the lights so hot so it just dries the food out. The make your own soup» was our favorite. Bottom line is, if you are charging $ 19.00 a pERSON, yOu NeEd to maKe sUre YouR FooD is On PoiNt

My Cobb salad was humungous and came with a ton of bacon, avocado, and crumbled blue cheese. But I wouldn’t say it was necessarily good. All the ingredients were at room temperature, which is a bummer for a salad. My brother thought his veggie burger was not that great. My boyfriend described his chicken Caesar salad as horrific. And my other friend thought his sandwich was just okay. Service was friendly, however.

Good special deals if you sign up for the players club, even if you don’t gamble. Takes less than 5 minutes to join. The egg special is a great value. And there is usually a taco deal at lunch. The chocolate cake is good for dessert.

This café is a over priced bootleg Starbucks! its open ²⁴⁄₇ that’s the only reason why I went there, but I wish I would have just passed on it.

Insider’s Tip 1: If you take 5 minutes at the Casino to sign up for a free players card, on Sundays thru Thursdays you can order the 1 pound NY Steak dinner special served with baked potato and steamed vegetables for $ 9.99, this cannot be beat, anywhere.
Insider’s Tip 2: They also have a morning breakfast special for players card members for $ 2.99 which includes ham, eggs, hash browns, and toast, another fantastic deal for decent quality food.
The café is open 24 hours so even when you aren’t here for the specials there are still good choices off the regular menu. My favorites are the French dip which is made with freshly thin sliced medium rare prime rib, and the spaghetti bolonaise.

I absolutely have to give the employees here some love.
I’ve stayed at Monty twice in the last several months and I am high maintenance like most people couldn’t even accomplish if they made it a full time job! I don’t drink evil mermaid coffee, like ever. What I do is bring my own brand, grind it fresh, pour over technique and all. I’m not about to order room service to get hot water at $ 7-​$ 10 a pop. I step up to this café and drop this on em. «Can I get a vente hot water and an empty grande cup please?» I know, I know. It’s probably out of line. But they haven’t even batted an eye lash when I drop that request on em, twice a day. They hook me up, I make my coffee right there in the lounge and swipe a few chugs of half and half while I’m at it too. I always drop a few bucks in the tip jar b/​c I know I am a pain in the ass. I would imagine when I am gone the workers get a good laugh. «You believe that bleepin’ bleep?» Yup, believe it folks. This is who I am and I refuse to change. I just want to give you guys a proper review and let you know that I do appreciate it.

When ordering your drinks, take a look behind the espresso machine and on top of the machine. YUCK.

Montbleu Café featuring Starbucks items, so essentially this is just a Starbucks. I don’t say «just» to put it down (I certainly don’t dislike the place), but I was hoping it was more of a café café. The baristas were friendly and the tables overlooking the casino floor were a nice touch.

Not really crowded and close to the slots, so if your looking for a place to relax away from the noise then head up to your room. Fast service though but still over priced for anything but basic coffee.
