It’s a decent Y, though seems a little too small to meet demand. I’ve checked out the cardio equipment but no matter when I’ve come– early morning to late afternoon– it always looks packed, and I think it would be hard to get a machine. I usually come here to use the pool. Again, crowds can get big so I try to make a point of getting here very early in the morning. The later in the day you go, the more crowded it gets. The staff is very friendly. The facilities are clean. Like every Y I’ve ever been to, the focus of the facilities and locker rooms is on standard and functional rather than fancy. It works, but there’s certainly no sauna or massage service here. My only real complaint is that the water in the women’s showers never really gets hot and you can’t adjust it. Hardly tragic, but definitely annoying if you’re already chilly from the pool. All in all, a bit crowded, definitely not fancy, but a good value.

Pretty nice gym and helpful staff. The rock climbing is cool and I also like the new equipment.

Like previous reviewer, I was also blown away by the inexpensive membership fee for families. Only $ 55 per month for two of us! Besides the price, facilities(including a rock gym) are well maintained. While they don’t have the highest end fitness equipment, it is more than sufficient for the needs of most people going to the gym. Great place for college students living far away from campus in apartment complexes like Lion’s Gate.

I love this Y — I joined a few months before I had Ellen(first baby) and did lots of swimming in their 8 lane lap pool. Their pool is well maintained and clean — and kept at a nice temperature for swimming laps. If you need something a little warmer, they also have a therapy pool that is nice and warm for doing stretches or water walking! The Y also has great classes — I’m currently taking«Mommy and Me Pilates» which is awesome, and they also have a spinning room which i have yet to check out — but they offer 45 spinning classes per week! The membership dues are really reasonable — I think they charge somewhere around $ 35-$ 40 a month for a single membership, and maybe $ 60 a month for a family membership, definitely worth it! I highly recommend this Y! :) p. s. forgot to mention they have free childcare if you have a family membership? Woohoo someone to watch Ellen for me while I swim or run!
