Service is always excellent here without a doubt. Food is usually pretty good, but I did have to return the steak back twice because it wasn’t «medium rare» like I ordered, they were more like medium well. Regardless, the food is decent overall.

Normally, This is one of my favorite chain resturants. I was in town on business and chose this store to have the Prime Rib. I arrived at 5:30 pm and seated at the Bar. After 1 beer I asked for a menu and ultimately ordered the Prime Rib. I was told that the Prime Rib was unavailable. Why? Why did this store either run out or not make Their signature dish on a Friday nite, with a packed house. Such a disappointment.

This place was pretty cool. You walk in and there are peanuts available to eat. Throw the shells on the floor. The steak selection is awesome. They cooked my rare steak perfectly. I know it not to hard to not cook a piece of meat but some place have a lot of trouble with this. We sat at bar to avoid the long wait. Admittedly though right after we got our drinks they did call our table. The bread they give you is baller. Its delicious, probably the brown sugar butter horrible for you body but great for the soul. The steaks are great, but its a steak house. I can’t comment on the other items because i tend to order steak at steakhouses. If you order the vegan chili and dont like it you probably went to the wrong restaurant. I think if you were in the mood for a steak you would be hard pressed to find a better place.

We use to go to the Outback Steakhouse all the time but the food quality and quantity has gone down so much after our last visit we won’t be going back there. We decided to try the Texas Roadhouse and were very pleasantly surprised!!! The filets were Awesome cooked perfect the salad was Very good. The sides were all very good. So we have now gone back several times trying different things and so far for us it has all been good. My only complaint would be there is not much for a wine selection and the glass you get is the smallest I have ever seen when eating out. I think this has now become our new favorite for steak in the area.

As a US Army Veteran I went to Texas Roadhouse today(Veterans Day) to give this place a try, I had never been in a TR previous to today. Being that they provide a free meal to Veterans today, I had nothing to lose. They had a Veterans Day Menu that featured a variety of great meals, and several of them sounded quiet tempting. I went for the 6 oz Sirloin with Mashed Potatoes and Corn, standard American meal. While I was checking out the menu the Bar Tender(Jake) gave me a run down on how the place operates and how they prepare their food. The Steaks are FRESHCUT steaks, not frozen, the potatoes were peeled, prepared, and mashed prior to opening. That steak was the most tender, delicious Sirloin steak I ever had in my life; unbelievable. I am a MEATEATER so I am not exaggerating. The Mashed potatoes and side dish were yummy too, I absolutely love the Cinnamon rolls they give you fresh out of the oven, with whipped butter. Awesome. They will give you as many servings as you want! The other server(Lauren) was great too, both Jake and Lauren just about fell all over me to help provide a very friendly experience in a pleasant atmosphere. Both of these young people THANKEDMEFORMYSERVICE! That was very much appreciated. I explained to Jake that I live on Social Security and a small amount of savings so I can’t afford to go out to restaurants very often. So he showed me their Budget meals and told me that If I came in Mon-through-Thursday before 6 pm those meals are a dollar off. The regular price was $ 8.99 for the dinner, so we’re talking about a real bargain, considering what you get. If they wanted to win my business for the future, it worked. I will definitely go back to Texas Roadhouse whenever I have a few bucks to spare.

Roadhouse is a fun and great atmosphere to relax and eat! There’s a ton of menu options for food + drinks. My favorite is the BBQ pulled pork dish that comes with 2 sides. The best part of Texas Roadhouse is the rolls you get with dinner with this sweet/sugary butter! It is so good, but with the rest of the food being so good as well… don’t fill up on them! They have a cactus blossom — which is essentially the same as the Outback Bloomin’ Onion. This would be my appetizer recommendation. There tends to be always a long wait so get there early or call ahead. Along with that, the waiters/waitresses upsell a lot(so watch out for that). A Great BBQ spot in State College, PA!

My husband ordered ribs, but he was unlucky and they were cold. Our waitress Chynna was really concerned and asked him at least 3 times if he wanted to change the ribs but he always said no, I even think that it was the manager of the restaurant that stopped by to confirm that my husband was still insisting that he wanted to keep his food. At the end, they didn’t charge for his meal. On the other hand, my salad was tasty and the meat came out as I wanted it. No complains about that.

Very good environment but still crowded. Wait to be seated for about 20 minutes. Very good service. Food is really tasty and the amount is quite enough. The price is really fair.

Great Steakhouse. Lot of different steaks and Burgers available. You’ll also get a bucket full of peanuts at your table. Very good taste and great prices.

This is a SUPERB steak house! Never mind that it’s a franchise — the steaks and food served at Texas Roadhouse easily rivals Ruth’s Chris or Morton’s, and I say that in all seriousness. The sides are wonderful, the portions are great and the waiting staff are always fun and adorable. Great alternatives to steak, of course — chicken, BBQ ribs, prime rib and combination platters. The chili(one of their sides) is out of this world! Great drink selection, wide variety of beers. Sometimes it’s a little loud, but always lively and relaxed. HIGHLYRECOMMENDED. We go there whenever we want a truly satisfying meal in a casual and comfortable setting.

I have no friggin idea how this averages above 3 stars. It’s a national chain restaurant. But I guess it’s fine dining to college folk. They have a terrible FRUITFLY problem. I’m sure they save on cooling bills in the summer with so many people fanning them away. The service is… not great, not bad not great. Just early twenty somethings half azzing through their shifts. The spirit selection is terrible, as well as the wine. The food overall is palatable but nothing that screams 4 stars.

One of the best steaks I’ve had in a long time! I had the NY strip, prepared medium rare and it was awesome! Juicy, flavorful and tender! Service was good with friendly helpful staff. It’s a little noisy but you won’t mind once u take ur first bite… Will definitely be back!

I was at camp over the weekend and decided to drive the Quehanna Highway down to Snow Shoe. From there I started looking for a place to eat, and remembered this restaurant from when I use to live in the area, and decided to give it a shot. Everything was excellent. I picked a sirloin steak from the case, ordered rattlesnake bites and a fountain drink, and was completely happy with my meal. My waitress was very polite, and knew her way around the menu to answer any questions I had. The whole dancing thing caught me off guard. I guess I forgot about that. I don’t get down to the area very often anymore, but when I’m in the area, this is one place I wouldn’t have any reason to pass on.

I think this is a great chain. Food is always well done, and the peanuts make it fun. Our visit to the State College venue was especially enjoyable because of all of the Penn State branding. The staff was kind and speedy. The price point is reasonable and well worth the money. Thumbs up.

Summary: Carnivore Daja Vu?(aka) The Best Little Doppelgänger Steakhouse You Never Ate At. Positive: 1) Huge menu selection 2) Good place if you have picky eaters 3) Relaxed Texas-themed décor Negative: 1) Dim, amber lighting 2) Always packed 3) Trying to find parking is half the experience 4) Food arrived underdone 5) Waiter seemed«out of it» 6) Prices average to more expensive I wish I could say this steakhouse was one of a kind, but beside the stuffed armadillo laying on his back and holding a beer bottle next to our table, it’s just like every other blue collar steakhouse franchise you’ve ever ate at. Sometimes that can be a good thing. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not comparing them to Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse. I believe satisfying a steak craving shouldn’t require customers to wear business casual. However, overlooking the little things can surely put the kibosh on the overall experience. We arrived at what we thought was a good time. Late in the evening to avoid the crowds. We spent several minutes prowling the parking lot looking for a parking space. Several of the open ones were pretty much double-parked by raised pickup trucks with overly large cartoon-sized tires. We eventually found a spot and headed in. The wait for a table was approx 20 minutes. They did not provide us with one of those buzzing remote pagers, but rather took our cell number and sent us a text to let us know when our table was ready. The communal peanut box, the universal symbol of «down home good olé boy atmosphere» was empty; a sign of a busy night. As we were being led to the table, the friendly hostess asked us if we would like to chose a steak from behind the display case as we passed the kitchen. The dining area is large, but seating is packed fairly close to each other: the result of being a popular restaurant. Southwestern themed nick-nacks, an overabundance of wooden surfaces and all set to an uncomfortably low amber lightening rounded out the dining area. We sat at our table for 3 minutes before our waiter arrived. We immediately noticed there was something a little«off» about him as he repeated our orders to us several times all behind glassy, distant eyes. As he left to place our order, we noticed a basket of half eaten dinner rolls from the last meal was left on the ledge of the partition that separated our table from the next. The waiter brought us the obligatory basket of rolls while we waited. We received our drinks 20 minutes later, and during that time was asked an additional 3 times if we’d like another basket of rolls. Each time we said no. He finally stopped asking permission and just brought us another basket of rolls anyway. 14 minutes after we received our drinks(and over 30 minutes after seating) we received our meals. Although I ordered my steak well done, I received it medium rare. The rest of the meal went fine. The bill for two steak dinners, sides, one beer and a soda was around $ 40. Nothing really stood out as «great» in this meal, just mediocre and at times corny. But I’ve eaten at this restaurant before, when it was called by another name in another state. I’m pretty sure you have too, even if you’ve never stepped foot inside of this one.

Honestly, for a chain restaurant, this place hit all the right spots. Upon check-in at the Holiday Inn Express a few steps away, they gave me a 10% off offer to use at Texas Roadhouse – even though Outback Steakhouse is literally right next door. Though they’re both very similar, I thoroughly enjoyed my meal at Texas more as I’ve dined at Outback before. Our waiter was kind and friendly. He routinely made his way passed our table without being intrusive of any private conversations or dining experience but still within reach should we need him. First were the rolls and the amazing butter. They were sooo good they were bad so I quickly nipped my empty carb craving. Not a huge fan of onion rings but their onion blossom was delicious. It was crisp and flavorful on the outside and instead of being half raw half cooked, the onion was well cooked, just how I like it. The dip was even better, The filet medallions I ordered medium with peppercorn sauce and a side of mashed potatoes. The filets were perfectly medium and the mashed potatoes were creamy yet had bits of chunks of potato and the butter only added to its richness. The peppercorn sauce dripped onto the filets and on the rice was the highlight of my meal. The spiked peach iced tea was good. Not too sweet and had a nice kick of alcohol. The wild strawberry lemonade was also good. So good that our attentive waiter brought me a fresh one as soon as he saw I was getting low on the pinkish lemon liquid gold(they offer free refills). Being that there are plenty of chain restaurants in the area that virtually all provide the same food, Texas Roadhouse is one that stands out from the rest.

I used to live right next to Texas Roadhouse. When I jogged up and down the street I could smell the steaks. It was hard to resist. This place has a fun environment. Go for a friend’s birthday. Food is good and the price is good. Big portions. I always get the ribeye(rare) at any Texas Roadhouse locations. Their apple cinnamon butter is so good.

Very good service. Waitress was very pleasant, checked on our table the right amount of times. Food is good. Love the rolls! Nice atmosphere. Do not come here if you have a peanut allergy because there are peanuts everywhere. They have call ahead seating.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoy dinner here. Yes, it can be loud, but the food is so good! We always order the ribeye and ribs. There is so much food, that after eating the yummy rolls and tons of peanuts, we take home our leftovers and get an entire other meal out of both. Delicious, best ribs in town.
