I ordered a beautiful engagement ring from kranich’s and had a great experience with Emily. She was very forthcoming and told me the diamond I chose was slightly«milky» for the verragio setting I purchased and replaced it with a better diamond. I can’t wait to see the final product. Customer service is outstanding.

I went here for 6 years to get my jewelry repaired and they were usually good about it. Twice they never called me to let me know when it was ready, but no big deal because I remembered! However, I bought three items from there one month and was deeply disturbed. My boyfriend bought me a beautiful ring. Yet, when I got it, apparently«brand new» the stone was very loose in the prongs. I brought it back to have it fixed but it did the same thing a week later. Then I bought a VERY expensive gold chain from there. The NEXTDAY the chain was broken. I just wore it! Nothing crazy! They said they wouldn’t be able to repair it to look like it did and I could look at other chains. One of the chains«brand new» in the case was broken too! I pointed that out then they quickly sent it to the jeweler. I thought it was strange that they couldn’t just reorder my chain which was perfect, especially because it was a «new item». I found a comparable chain and said that I would like it. They said I would have to pay $ 300 more!!! I was astonished and said well what is an even trade. They showed me baby gold chains. The weight was completely different. They wouldn’t explain why it was that way. And even one of the baby chains had a repair in it, even though it was brand new. They sell estate jewelry as if it is «new» and charge the«new» price for it. Why else would SOMUCH of the«new» jewelry be broken or already repaired in the new cases?! If you notice, none of their estate jewelry is current, you can tell by the style that those pieces are dated. That’s because anything they get that they can pass as new, they do. I was deeply disturbed by this dishonest business act. I feel terrible that I ever supported them for so long. Honesty is the best policy, Kranichs!

In searching the internet for a Mother’s ring for my daughter-in-law, I came to the Kranich’s site. Their build-a-ring app is super. I found and ordered the ring. It arrived quickly, but was not engraved as I thought I had ordered. Turns out that I was supposed to save each engraving to verify it was correct. I called and Benjamin immediately took care of the issue. I sent the ring back for engraving. It was returned quickly and Benjamin refunded the amount I paid to ship it back. Although there was a glitch in the process, they were quick to make it good. I recommended it to a friend of mine who also bought a Mother’s ring for her mother.

Not expecting much, I decided to contact Kranich’s for a quote on a ring. I was very surprised to get a response back with a price that was much, much lower than what I’ve seen on other websites and in stores. The only place that was cheaper(we’re talking $ 10 on a ring that’s $$$) was at the Jewelry District in downtown LA. However, since I’m in another state, there was no sales tax which made a HUGE difference! My ring was shipped at no charge and came in just a few days. The customer service/Pam was outstanding!

While on vacation, my prong on my Diamond Engagement Ring got bent. After searching for a local jeweler, I came across Kranich’s Jewelers and was very happy with the service. They did an awesome job on my ring. Thank you.

I’m not quite as turned off as J.R.S, but I agree that there are definitely better options in the area. I came in to have a link removed from my watch, and found the sales staff to be inattentive to the point it was rude(Taking personal phone calls in the main lobby area while customers wait? Odd). Link removal isn’t exactly brain surgery, but the staff member who helped me seemed to be having a tough time(and was in such a rush that it seemed to be a huge imposition when he brought the watch and it was too tight to put a link back IN). They ended up charging me $ 15 to remove the link, and then suggested another $ 15 when the fit wasn’t quite right. No thanks, Kranich’s I’ll take my business elsewhere from now on.
