Bad day at Dennys. The waitress, who was very nice, said«the kitchen lost our order» after 45 minutes of waiting. So we waited a bit more and then she had to put the order in again! Once the order(a turkey club sandwich) finally did arrive it looked like it was cut with those children’s left handed safety scissors. Not a very good experience. I’ll be avoiding Dennys for a bit. Especially since the waffle shop is close by and always good.

This is the first Denny’s I’ve been to, but the worst diner I’ve ever been to. Came here already depressed and irritable and the service was terrible. They didn’t bring water to the table for ten minutes and then the waitress proceeded to not grant us a free appetizer when we checked in on the Unilocal app. She was rude and sarcastic and overall a bad dining experience.

Love the food. Customer service is adequate but its definitely a nice pit stop for a long drive to college.

When it comes to breakfast locations, four criteria are key to my rankings: Price to portion size; flavor of bacon; flavor of sausage; time from order to delivery. The prices are fair, the bacon is great, I’ve had better sausage many times in many places and the food was delivered in a reasonably timley manner.

Boomers, this is not your parents’ Denny’s. After countless meals here at all hours of the day and night, all times of the year and all days of the week we’ve decided not to return. It is the most disorganized, poorly run, sit down restaurant in State College. Staff turnover is high, training appears to be non existent. The kitchen is chaotic and the food is overcooked and often served cold by a sleepwalking wait staff. CAUTION: Take out customers, check your order before leaving. We have never had one in which something wasn’t missing or wrong.

The Grand Slam is usually a good bet if you’re hungry for a good sized breakfast. They make these all the time so a chimp could whip them out of their kitchen. The last time I ate here the meal was very good, the server was good too. However, this place is old and its not real clean. The men’s room needs to be cleaned, disinfected, and deodorized. There was an odor at the front cash register that was awful. The guy that took my money and my check was a A-Hole. I believe he was the owner. Some kind of Foreigner that has not mastered English. He also has no manners. Did I mention he is an A-Hole?

This place was a little busy when I arrived on a Friday morning at 7AM. The first thing I noticed was an unpleasant odor when I walked in near the cashier area. I was seated in a reasonable amount of time(had to wait for what appeared to be the only waitress working at the time to finish at the cash register). I ordered the Ultimate Skillet — Grilled sausage, fresh spinach, fire-roasted bell peppers and onions, mushrooms, grape tomatoes and seasoned red-skinned potatoes served on a hot sizzlin’ skillet. Topped with a smoky cheese blend and two scrambled eggs. Since this dish did not come with toast I added wheat toast for 99 cents. The food came out in about ten minutes and the food was nice and hot and I had to wait for it to cool down a little. I enjoyed the skillet but did notice it was a little greasy. The waitress was very attentive even though she was very busy being the only waitress(I noticed about 20 to 25 customers).

It’s a Denny’s. Actually, this Denny’s is a lot nicer than one might expect. It’s one of the more clean, prompt diners in State College. They have good coffee, artery clogging food, and service that passes as friendly in Pennsylvania.

Solid breakfast choice in a town dominated by Waffle Shops. In the past few years, Denny’s has really picked up their game from a late night drunk spot for greasy eats to a decent meal. Had the new peppered bacon and avocado omelet with red potatoes and a biscuit. The eggs were golden and fluffy. Perfectly cooked. The avocado was pretty good and the American cheesy was the usual oozy plasticy crap. The major downfall, though, was the bacon. It was not peppered nor was it good. How disappointing, especially during«Baconalia» — their current promo. Service was friendly and prompt and beverages were refilled several times in half an hour. At checkout, another customer handed us a 20% off coupon which was a great bonus. Thanks stranger!

For some reason, this is the place we always end up when nobody can agree on anything. Denny’s lives up to what it needs to be. It’s a kinda dumpy little quasi-diner chain restaurant. The food is good enough, the prices are great for a college town, and the service is pretty great.

The staff is friendly and the food is okay. The only negative is the restaurant shows it’s age. It’s not dirty, just worn out. I think a refresh of the dining room would help. Denny’s also has coupons in the paper about once a month that range from free entrees to 20% off your entire check.

It’s Denny’s, you know what kind of food and quality you’re going to get before you even walk through those doors. Honestly, I can’t find any major faults at this place. Don’t expect the best of the best but it’s several grades above your average fast food restaurant. Been to this location many times and have always had hot food and prompt service.

Standard Denny’s fare on this particularly out-dated location. Our party of 4 tried enough dishes that were different enough to know the kitchen is capable of producing good food and the service was quick & prompt. I personally truly enjoy their value menu. It was 6 bucks plus tip & tax for a good sized quesadilla and their warm-cookie a la mode skillet dessert. It would have been four stars has they put a tad more cheese on the quesadilla and not slightly overcooked the cookie. Considering my local Denny’s was closed due to ridiculously high rent, I’m glad I can still visit my Alma Mater(PSU) and enjoy the guilty pleasure that is Denny’s Restaurant.

Late night studying, partying, bar-hopping, you name it, Denny’s the place to go right after. Don’t you ever get hungry after a night of drinking & you need a place to go to fulfill your cravings? Or even wake up in the morning finding food receipts in your pocket, not remembering that you went out to eat? Oh right… & if you’re looking for a late night meal when you’re brain-dead from studying so much. Denny’s is open 24 hours & is always there for you. The food is pretty good, but I just had to knock out a star because the service isn’t always attentive. Sometimes a host/hostess isn’t present, so I’ll have to wait a while just to get seated in an almost empty restaurant since it is like 2 in the morning. I would definitely recommend Denny’s. It’s the place to go if you’re looking for an inexpensive late night meal, snack, or even dessert. Mmm :)

This is a restaurant that won’t disappoint you. It’s 24 hours, and you can come here anytime you feel hungry and treat yourself with some tasty comfort food. My favorite is Country Fried Steak with double Onion Rings side and extra gravy. If you want to have more healthy choice, you can have Lemon Tilapia with Rice. Basically all of them are freshly made for you and taste really good. Usually my friends and I come here around midnight or after midnight. We always have a good time here. The portion of the food is fulfilling and the waiters/waitresses are nice and helpful. After eating, we have a good long chat and pay up on the front counter. Don’t worry, they will gladly split the check for you without any hassles. Basically I can’t complain about anything here. Why not 5 stars? Well, because this is a chain restaurant with standardized quality, everything is good but nothing is special either. Still, overall this is the best place to go for comfort food without worrying about waiting in line or opening hours. It’s indeed very comfortable eating here.

Good place for breakfast and for those late night hunger pangs. Denny’s is one of those places where I can get my reliable comfort foods… so what if it’s a chain! GRANDSLAM… MOONSOVERMYHAMMY…
