Newks is always good– love the soup half sandwich combo– usually get the vegetarian sandwich which is yummy with goat cheese and mushrooms lettuces — good! Service is friendly and fast! Price is good! Have yummy little crispy bread sticks that are at no extra charge! All members of the family leave happy because nice variety for any palette !

Love Newks in Jackson, Baton Rouge, Biloxi, Flowood and Oxford but this is the worst location in the entire chain. Stale bread slow service and very little chicken salad on sandwich. Called in order and i still had a 20 minute wait after I arrived at the restaurant

I usually get the club sandwich. It’s pretty good. The Mac and cheese is always delicious (especially the four cheese). If you’re a soup person, I think the potato soup is to die for. It’s the best I’ve found in the area.

Can’t go wrong with one of these. Newk’s hot sandwiches are the best. Their macaroni and cheese side dish is great too. They’ve got good soups, salads, sandwiches, pizza… Everything on their menu is tasty.

Stopped in while heading to Meridian. At first it reminded me of a McAllister’s, but I’d have to say the food was a bit better.
I went with the Grilled Chicken Sandwich, delicious. Fresh crisp bacon piled on top of nice juicy chicken breast smothered in sauce, two thumbs up.
They even offer a «light» menu, which is tough to do when you’re serving sandwich’s.

Food is stellar here. I love the soups and the Newq’s Q is awesome! I always have a great experience here. However, I’m giving 4 stars because the busboy started cleaning up the table before our party left. It would normally not bother me, but in this case, he didn’t say anything. He just started taking dishes and wiping the table while we were talking. He just seemed a bit rude. Otherwise, it was a good experience.

For someone that doesn’t like sandwiches, this is beyond excellent. What makes them different from other joints is the sauce. The portions are huge, even the salads if you order a full size it feeds 2 – 3. Newk’s Q is my favorite sandwich, and the lobster crab bisque my favorite soup.
There are free pickles and hard breadsticks for appetizer.
Plenty of parking, and great service!

Not bad, actually. While I was surprised to see NJ prices in MS ($ 8+ for a sandwich?), they had a decent Broccoli Cheese soup. Their beef sandwich wasn’t too exciting (too dry to be a good sandwich), and their deluxe pizza, while piled fresh ingredients, I could tell it just thrown together… the sauce lacked flavor beyond the vegetables (a lack of additional spices, perhaps spoiled too much by NYC and Chicago?). Reminds me of a local Panera, actually. It’s a good simple cuisine in the local area. Lots of locals came… mostly women, and the portion size was actually relatively small compared to most of the area food locations (probably another reason why it was busy, too, helps keep people relatively fit compared with all the junk food options, fried food and BBQ in the area).

A few months after it’s opening, I finally got around to checking this place out. I’m now regretting waiting so long. It was very good!
The loaded potato soup was very filling and the steak sandwich was tasty. My son had a pizza and although, it looked small, it quickly filled him up. He couldn’t even finish it. I also liked the free breadsticks and pickles. That was a nice touch.

If you are looking for something fast, hot and deliciously dependable… This is your place!!!
I have been sick for a couple of days and all I wanted was something basic and hot. I ordered a grilled cheese and chicken noodle soup. My co-​worker ordered the peperoni pizza, which had crispy pepperonis and it was a good size for two meals! The portions were perfect, flavor was good and it was affordable.
I might eat here tomorrow night as well because it’s so simple and yummy.
