Tina is awesome and makes the best the drinks. I and 2 double screwdrivers and they did the job. She deserves a raise.

Went here for the first time and was mistreated by a bartender. Waiting for a pizza next door and stopped by here to wait for it and was accused of being drunk by the server. What the server failed to acknowledge was the old people she was over serving everywhere else in the bar — Total Bummer was we wanted to check out a new place in Stanwood and were let down. We are a young lively couple hoping to bring new business to this location but apparently they only care about the«regular vibe» Won’t go back…

What a FANTASTIC place! My boyfriend and I flew in from Ca. to visit Stanwood, WA. for a family gathering. We stayed at the hotel for 4 days. We knew going in that it was a Historical Hotel and Saloon but when we arrived we were in AWWE! The Hotel and Saloon was originally established in 1890 and has since been renovated to maintain its quaint charm. The rooms are very comfortable for a single person or couple. The hotel accommodates overnight stays with necessities. The Bed alone deserves 5STARS mattress, sheets and pillows! The bed was by far one of the best beds we’ve slept in. High quality bedding! Our room provided a walk in shower with excellent water pressure, fluffy white towels, a flat screen T.V., free Wi-Fi, daily maid service, hot coffee, muffins and cold cereal outside the room. If you’re looking for privacy, you’ll find it here. The Saloon is downstairs so it was great to walk down for breakfast, coffee, Bloody Mary or a Mimosa in the morning. They provide a full service bar downstairs with music, a pool table, good food and above all excellent customer service. The entire staff was pleasant as well as the customers. If you’re expecting a 5 star hotel with amenities such as room service, swimming pool, Jacuzzi and spa this is not the place for you. The Hotel is exactly what it claims to be, A Historical Experience. If you want to step back in time come visit the Stanwood Hotel and Saloon, you will not be disappointed. Thank you Marilyn(manager) and Tina(bartender) and the entire staff for a warm and welcoming stay at The Stanwood Hotel. Mike and I felt like home away from home! We will definitely be back for another stay. Mike & Dianne(CA.)

Great bar food. Simple, affordable, great quality. They have a very friendly staff. The food stands out for a bar. It’s not fancy or expensive but very good and affordable. I like the grilled cheese and tomato soup.

The rooms are lovely at this old hotel. Marilyn has done a nice job restoring the place. Each room has a private bath, which is really nice. The rooms themselves are basic, just a big bed, night stand and TV. I was happy to be alone in mine! The saloon is a very comfortable place too. The little free tacos on taco Tuesday were really tasty. I would go back for sure.

I don’t believe some of the other reviews, it has a major mix of people here and everyone has always been fun and nice, occasionally they might have an overly drunk person, but all in all, it is really fun. They have live bands/Karaōke, great food and now have an open beer garden which is really great. The owners have put a lot of time and money to fix up the place since it had literally fallen into disrepair before they bought it, great place to hang out and listen to some of the ghost stories. Don’t listen to the negative reviews, go experience it for yourself. Also check out the museum in Stanwood as well as the antique stores.

This place is just an absolute drag! They wouldnt serve my friend because they thought he was homosexual. Unless you want to be surrounded by a bunch of miserable biggots, stay away!

I’m into the whole historic places thing and had high hopes for this place. It has all the working for it to have some serious nostalgic potential. Old building, saloon looking porch, antique bar backdrop and rickety façade but turns out while the building itself may have some history to it the inside is just made to look old. Kinda sad because the place has potential until the charm is sucked right out of it by remodeling. The do have live bands really friendly staff and people whom hang out there seem to be pretty welcoming. Their pool table could use some serious upgrading. They make up in the quarky factor with huge barrels of peanut which they welcome you to toss shells on the floor. Historic qualms aside, i’ll be back should I head back to Stanwood.

I have only been here once and this one time the place was packed. Live music, full bar, good beers on tap, I was pretty happy with my experience. I was there with some friends on a Saturday night they said this was the busiest they had ever seen it, so don’t expect the place to be packed every time. The band was good, people were dancing and having a good time. They had one pool table, but no one was playing. They had deschutes red chair, black bute, mudslinger and a few other good beers on tap. The beer was $ 5.50 a bit expensive, considering my friend ordered a black opal and hers was only $ 5. Oh and did I mention that my beer came in a mason jar? Very cool. I will be back I’m sure.
