I think this is my new favorite place! My wife loved her shrimp cocktail and michelada. The beans are delicious, so is the pico! I think their tortillas are homemade also. Can’t wait to come back!

My first time here for taco tuesday. I came in at 10pm and they said they are out of small tortilla so I order 3 regular tacos which cost $ 2.60 each instead on $ 1.25. I am with that and they have the ball of charging me $ 1 extra cuz I used my credit card to pay for it. What kind of restaurant charging customer for using credit card these days. This would be my first and last time coming here. So my 3 regular tacos cost$ 9.50. What is the point of going to taco tuesday. NEVERCOMINGBACKTOTHISUNETHICALRESTAURANT.

What an amazing find! So sad I never came here growing up. $ 25 for dinner for two-combo plates. Their meat is well seasoned, cooked perfectly. Known for their seafood, But we enjoyed our non-ocean food a ton. Great beans and rice. Salsa is spicy but not ridiculous & their pico de gallo is freeeesh. Great blend of traditional mexican food and american-style mexican food. Plus straight hamburgers, chicken strips, etc. options. Coming back for a breakfast burrito next week! The waitress tonight was suuuuper cute and friendly too! Only small drawback is the $ 1 fee for credit card and you can’t tip on the receipt. We would have felt awful if we hadn’t had cash on us bc we loved the service!

Liked the food and the vibe and our waitress was very sweet! I had the chili relleno plate and my companion the burrito(chicken) plate. We were both happy campers! Looking forward to returning. Happy to discover after living only a mile away for years!

Hmmmm, OK I guess. Expected a whole lot more from a 4 — star Unilocal restaurant. The salsa they bring out with the chips is definetely a 5-star affair. My shrimp rancheros were saltier than I hoped but still good. I really wish I cups give it 3 ½ stars. It’s better than 3 but not as good as 4. Btw, they charge u a $ 1 to use your debit /credit card!!! What sit-in restaurant does that nowadays??? No one!!!

I love this place, the waitress is a doll! One day I went at night, didn’t know they were getting ready to close. She allowed me to still put a Togo order, and made sure that I was always satisfied. I’m actually putting a order in right now.

First time coming here. Free chips & salsa as you’re seated. Ordered four carne asada tacos w/a side of guacamole. Pretty decent size tacos if you’re able to eat a lot(I suggest two if you’re not a big eater). Also ordered the shrimp cocktail which came w/saltine crackers, it was good but a little on the sweet side. Waitress was nice but service was really slow.

I’ve always driven by this place but finally went in with my family. The portions are big and the food is actaully pretty good. They offer a fair price for the childrens menu and there portions are big. The music and atmosphere is really cute and fun. I’d recommend this place and will be coming back.

At first glance the thing which caught our eyes was the front décor. The entry way has beautiful flowers and of course we heard the blaring corridas coming from the jukebox. It is probably the loudest restaurant music in a 10 mile radius or clubs. However they do turn it down upon request. I had custom spicy shrimp quesadilla with their special diabla sauce. The meal was delicious and a huge serving at that. My husband had the chille relleno plate, the dish came with two chilles. also another huge serving but his chilles had a weird texture and couldn’t really cut it even with a steak knife it was like rubber. Only one was eaten and the other ripped to shreds trying to cut bite size pieces.

Today my wife and i were driving around looking for somewhere to have lunch close to the body shop we were picking her mom’s car up from and couldn’t find anywhere to eat(that we wouldn’t get sick from or shot in the parking lot), until we saw this place though! So I’ve driven past this place on Beach Blvd in Stanton hundreds of times without giving our a second glance. But today after all the other places, this place looked clean and inviting so I made a uturn and decided to give it a shot. Walking up I could hear loud ranchera music and it made me feel like i was walking into a little cantina in Ensenada, was greeted immediately by a cheerful waitress and sat down in the inside dining area(they also have a patio seating area). The dining area and kitchen were quite clean, and we were immediately brought chips and salsa with our menus. I ordered the wet pastor burrito plate and jamaica(the jamaica was incredible), and my wife had the chicken tacos. When the waitress brought the food out, my wife and I literally said«WOW» as she put the food on the table! My burrito was huge and was served with a side of rice and beans(the rice had fresh various in it which i love), my wife’s tacos were pretty large and looked delicious. The whole presentation was way better than either of us expected. Upon cutting into my burrito, i found that it was packed with fresh, juicy, el pastor with sauteed onions and peppers and it was Soooo good! My wife offered up a taste of her taco and i was equally impressed! Our total bill was $ 20 and neither of us could finish our food and left completely stuffed! The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was that i wasn’t impressed with the salsa for the chips, but everyone has their own tastes in salsa, I’ll definitely be going back!

True, good Mexican food. Small place, if you blink you’ll pass it. Our waitress made us feel comfortable and took great care of us. The rice has vegetables and the chicken was ground, both unusual for a Mexican restaurant. Nevertheless the food was yummy. My three year old practicality liked his plate:) Fairly price. A really good place.

Look no further if you’re looking for a family home cook breakfast… terrific Mexican cuisine and it is right off of Beach Blvd. I had the Chilaquilla’s with the green sauce this morning and it was amazing… I will be coming back for sure

I tough the place had more variety in food, so they r ok no great, the food is just ok, others places you go there’s a specialty that you normally go wow !!! This is not that kind of place, but is economical … Weird thing is if u paying with credit card u can’t leave a tip for the waitress as they demand tip to be in cash only, so most people paying with credit don’t have cash on hand so at the end you look like a ass for not tipping the waitress ., in my experience it was a ok food but not that place you will comeback again

Love everything about this place! I feel like I’m in Cabo when I eat here. Very good, authentic food and good service. The micheladas are amazing! Ceviche was fresh and delicious. My husband ordered the ground beef tacos and a cheese enchilada. So good!

This place is super close to my office and I always pass it on the day to work, so my husband and I decided to try it out today. The location itself is the epitome of «hole in the wall». The décor is plain and simple and has a Baja California feel. For the food, we ordered: 1. The seafood cocktail — this was really delicious and fresh. The cook forgot to add our shrimps and the waitress came right out with it before I could even ask. 2. Asada tacos — only complain is that the asada is in small broken pieces, and they were a bit overcooked. Some pieces were crunchy. 3. Shrimp taco — this was deliciouuussss! Very flavorful with the pico de gallo and the sauce. I would definitely recommend this. I think they were $ 3.25 per taco. 4. Battered fish taco — this was just ok. The batter got soggy after a few minutes and it wasn’t as crunchy/crispy as I expected. Contrary to the other complaints about the service sucking, we actually had a really attentive waitress who was super nice. All in all, the bill for food and 2 Tecate Michelafas came out to be $ 40. I would definitely be back and would recommend the seafood cocktail and the shrimp tacos.
