Stanford Archery Program

I participated in a corporate event with lots of people who have never done archery. The program here is run by Stanford students on the Stanford Archery Team, and they were exceptionally patient at teaching everyone how to shoot. They also had fun games (ask them to do balloon shooting if you go).
They also have high performance programs for kids (called JOAD) and for adults (private lessons). Some of the kids in the program have gone on to be competitive collegiate archers. In general, the quality of the teaching is very high, and works both for people who just want to have fun and for people who want to get really good.
The facility is nice especially on beautiful spring /​summer /​fall days.
