Zen Spa & Nails

Came in here as I was in need of changing a bad manicure and pedicure I had gotten the day prior somewhere completely different
I explained that I had gone somewhere else and why I thought they had done a bad job… The technician heard me and my nails are absolutely perfect.
Not sure about those other reviews giving this place crap for being fast. Listen, it’s not like there is entertainment in a manicure spot… Do a good job be efficient cause I got other things to do!!!

By far best service and quality for the price in town. I am so happy every time I leave there.

First and last time I’ll try this place. I work down the street and didn’t have time to make it home in time to go to my regular place so I figured this place looks nice, I’ll give it a try. I called ahead at 5:56 and was told they’d have to do mani and pedi at the same time. I said ok and headed over. I got there at probably 6:10 and was done (including two drying cycles) by 6:58.
PROS:
The salon Is very clean.
Thorough — They were very thorough about cleaning my nails before putting on the polish.
Space — It is nicely laid out and very clean — they were cleaning while I was there.
Location — Its convenient.
CONS:
Price — mani/​pedi cost $ 37, no frills, no extras, barely got a leg massage.
Chairs — They don’t massage — they might have two that massage but I didn’t see them working.
Tools — They share the tools across customers, I did not see them cleaned or sanitized.
Quality — My polish isn’t chipping but it’s wearing off the tops, so I can see the top of my nail poking through the polish. It’s been about 36 hours since I had it done.
All in all, if you’re in a hurry they’ll get you in and out quick but you’ll pay more than it’s worth to get it done. It’s a nail salon, NOT a spa!

I went with mom and sister. The pedicure was good enough but I won’t be going again. If you are in a rush I guess you are in the right place. We were rushed to pay while we were still drying. All of the relaxing went out of the window when they were stressing us out to pay and get out.

My girl friend and I went here based on the reviews looking for a new salon in Stamford. They rushed us. I’d say the pedicure lasted about 10 –15 min TOPS. The massage was barely existant — they don’t use hot stones. They barely scrubbed the bottom of my feet, it seriously sucked in every aspect. They were busy, but i’ve been in busier salons with the attention I deserved. I don’t recommend this place to anyone.

My favorite nail salon ever. They are a very friendly and personable, and do a great job with my nails. Unlike other places that tend to seem like a factory just pushing people through, they seem to genuinely care about the work they do and keeping you happy as a customer (often times you’ll get complimentary messages while you wait). Plus — I find their prices are actually quite a bargain compared to other places. Quality + service + reasonable prices — you really can’t ask for much more. They have set the bar against which I measure all other nail salons. I highly recommend.

I have been to a few places in Stamford and this place it the best! They do a great job and a very meticulous. Best place I have ever been!

Charged me $ 100 for a full set of gels. Talk about taking advantage of new customers.

I’ve been to many locations throughout Stamford for a year and a half since I’ve moved here. This is by far my absolute favorite location. Here’s why: i never felt like a customer being passed along to others because the are too busy. Locations is small and quaint. The detail that was put into my cuticles and nails was above and beyond what I paid.
Also, the massage… To.die.for. It was just what I have been looking for. I like my massage rather firm to get out the knots for work and working out.
My experience was too notch. This will be my home location after what I experienced.

Just had a great pedicure and Zen Spa. The ambiance in there is peaceful and very clean. They took their time with the pedicure so I felt like my feet were getting really pampered and the best chair massage I’ve had! Next time I’m going to upgrade to the Spa Pedicure which comes with a free manicure.

Great little getaway in Stamford. Small salon/​spa-​like experience, clean, and warm ambiance. Quiet and relaxing. Private pedicure area. Everyone is very friendly and do a wonderful job. The same prices as most of the other salons in the area but is my favorite place of all. Have had both manicures and pedicures done. Will keep coming back! Make sure to call in advance/​schedule online for an appointment.

Finally. A nice, clean and friendly nail salon. The pedicure was great because they did not rush. The manicure was good too. The prices are the same as competitors in the area but they did not rush like the others. I will return.

Just relocated to Stamford. Came from Jersey where I was a devote customer at a small salon for 10+ years. I thought I would never find something that compares. I read several reviews for other salons in the area and was kinda scared. I was blown away with the quality of Zen. It really was a «zen» environment. Nice music, spacious area, and minimal talking/​yelling. Just an all around perfect place to pamper yourself. I was also impressed that my manicurist massaged my back for able 10 minutes while my nails were drying! I will definitely be going back as a regular. :)

This place does a great job and the environment is extremely relaxing. Everyone is friendly and is nice to get a neck massage while getting your nails done.

Had a nice pedicure there; like the private setting of stations so I went back for color gels. It was the worst color gel manicure I ever had. They charged me an additional $ 20 for two extensions (without telling me before they did it), and two days later I had three chipped/​peeling nails! Waste of money, will never go back.

They are up front with their specials. Sometimes it’s even $ 20 off or a pedi with free mani. Excellent equipment and service. From the massage chairs, to the actual massage while having nails polished, to optional paid massage while nails dry. Very clean. Great selection of colors. Polish did not chip. This is a fantastic family owned establishment. The place is very clean and cozy, and i love the fact that they have plants everywhere. The pedicure area is really clean, comfy, and private. This past winter I came in at least twice with a broken toenail (a combination of harsh winter weather and a skiing accident), and they did a great job of fixing it and giving me a top notch pretty pedicure.
Absolutely love this place and the really wonderful warm owners. Will be coming back again and again!

I have been here 2x. Manicures are $ 10.00 and worth every penny! They do a fabulous job on my nails! They really take their time to clean my nails, cuticle, etc… My polish actually lasted a lot longer than usual! They have a massage therapist that will massage your back while getting your nails done. Free of charge, but tip of course! Eyebrow wax is a little pricier than other places, but they did a great job! Pedicure is a little pricey compare to other salons I have been going to, but I am going to try them out to see the different in quality.
