The pizza was ok, good, but nothing special. What bothered us was the wait time. they told me it would be an hour wait for delivery or a half hour for pick up. so we decided to go get it, we waited 25 minutes before we drove the quarter mile and then proceeded to wait 45 minutes waiting for them to even make the pizza! Horrible communication. If my fiancé hadn’t paid for the pizza as soon as he went in we would have just left and gotten dinner else where. For that wait you’ed be expecting to be on Wooster St. in New Haven!

Ordered pizza(1 pie 2 boxes of 8 peice chicken) for delivery … It took over one hour and a half to be delivered at a destination only 10 min away… On top of that was missing 8 piece chicken had to wait another 25 min for that to be received. The order arrived with no napkins and no dressing which was specifically mentioned to plz bring. Never again.

Great neighborhood pizza restaurant. I will drop in for a slice or two of pizza from time to time They usually have 2 or 3 varieties to choose from. The crust is tasty, not too thick, not too thin. Great tasting sauce as well. I’ll often pair my pizza with a small salad topped with gorgonzola or mozzarella. I’ve also had their eggplant parmesan and ravioli. Both were excellent. They have a big takeout business but you can also eat in as they have a small area with a few tables and chairs and a TV. Staff is friendly and makes you feel like family.

Pizza is okay but not as good as it used to be. There are a few tables(that are usually dirty when you go in) so takeout is always better

Really very pleasantly surprised. Ordered a couple of sicilian pizzas on a whim and they were pretty good! VERY good crust,(which is most important) sauce was decent — and it fed about twice as many as I thought — meaning I got to have leftovers for breakfast. Drove past this place for years and I am glad I stopped by. Surprised by some of the negative reviews as I am pretty critical by pizza standards but it’s been good for me.

They gave me a salad that was basically a soup because of how much dressing they put on the salad and looked like it was thrown in a paper container in less than a second. I also got a slice of Sicilian which was dripping in grease! I had to throw all my food out! Buyers beware!

I come here everyday. Some may say scatalogically similar, restaurantal discrepancy, but this eatery is one of a kind. I really, really, really like the pizza. by the way nice pizza

Since I moved into the Springdale neighborhood of Stamford, Springdale Pizza had always been my favorite pizza shop in the area. Both my wife and I are from the Bronx and we know our pizza. No longer with this place. There has recently been a change in the workers there(especially in the afternoon with a relatively heavyset man who has no idea what he is doing). Three times over the past month I have gone in during lunchtime and have been told by the aforementioned man that there is NOPIZZA. REALLY??? And there are no pizzas on the«waiting line» during lunchtime! I have been told I can wait 10 – 15 minutes for a slice but that is just ridiculous for a pizza place. I need to get back to work. It is faster for me to drive to the second nearest(and now better) pizza shop, which is what I will do and have told all of my colleagues to do. And their full pizzas are SIGNIFICANTLY smaller than they used to be. I hope the family owners of this pizza shop see this and fix things or they will soon lose a lot more business than my family’s.

Not impressed. The pizza was basically grease and mediocre sauce. The cheese was sliding off before I could even take a bite. The staff wasn’t friendly. Overall, there was nothing enjoyable about my experience with this business. I will not go back to Springdale Pizza.

Mediocre at best. I live right across the street and have always passed Springdale pizza, but have never ordered anything. We called in an order for a Cobb salad and spaghetti and meatballs. When we arrived to pick up our food, it wasn’t ready yet but we saw them making the food in the back(without gloves on and very haphazardly). Didn’t realize until we had brought our food home that they did not include the bacon or chicken in the cobb salad and the spaghetti was warm at best and very under seasoned. We did not get a chance to try the pizza, but it looked extremely greasy in the window. There are plenty of great pizza places in Stamford and I will not be returning to this one.

Ordered two sandwiches. One of them was excellent.(Chicken bacon ranch) The other(buffalo chicken) not so much. I’d give it another try, though. I heard they have good pizza.

Pizza is good and the meatball grinders are killer. Good place in the neighborhood to grab some good cheap eats.

Best pizza in Stamford-hands down. Always friendly on the phones or in-person and quick when delivering. There hasn’t been anything ordered yet that my wife and I haven’t enjoyed. A family tradition that continues to impress!

Unfortunately I need to update my previous review. The owner of Springdale Pizza has since passed away, and the establishment has been taken over by the daughter. While we still have had several positive experiences here(and everyone is always friendly), the food quality is extremely inconsistent. We have ordered pies that turned out extremely greasy, other times they seem to be very stingy with the amount of toppings. We also usually order the eggplant — and the portions now vary wildly. After more than 10 years, we are on the lookout for a new pizza place.

Love the pizza. Don’t love the wings. Wings are a bit soggy, which could be because we had delivery so there was too much time for them to sit and absorb the buffalo sauce. The pizza is delicious though. The crust is light and flakey, and the cheese is plentiful. Our go to is the white– lots of cheese, and extra ricotta. Yum. And pretty quick delivery at that. I’m a fan.

I was never really impressed with their pizza because I am a hard core Hope Pizza fan. The last 2 times I got pizza from there, it was so hard for me to admit that it was a lot better than Hope. Everything was delicious. The sauce, the cheese, the crust. I could literally eat pizza from here everyday and not get sick of ot. If you haven’t given them a try lately, do it. You won’t be disappointed.

Amazing little pizza shop(on hope and camp avenue) in stamford. I have to say that over the years, i had stopped in for a slice and found it to be a little bit hit or miss. I think the new ownership has really invested in quality, fresh ingredients which really makes a difference you can taste. Nice cripy crust and generous with the toppings(for some reason so many of the pizza places nearby are stingy with toppings…) It has become our absolute«go-to» pizza place over the past few months, and I have yet to be disappointed.

Hi All, I live around the corner… had pizza here several times… mostly it was quite bad. Once in awhile I really enjoyed it. I guess it depends on who is working the oven. As far as pizza in the immediate area, one of the better ones. but that just proves Springdale/Stamford cannot make pizza. The bar across the street makes much better pizza– Vinnys… go there instead. But overall… just dont get pizza. go to Kiku across the street for some excellent food(Sushi + more). Dont think I will go there again, unless i have a visitor that like sold school shops, pizza tossed by hand. and bad pizza. — MSZ
