I went there Saturday evening for my first time. The restaurant doesn’t open until 4PM on Saturday so just a heads up. At first the dining area appears small, but we were a party of 12 and there was three other parties of at least eight people there as well. On the other side of the restaurant there’s a bar which stayed busy all night. We did the Family Style dinner which includes unlimited wine. This was a Bachelorette party so the ladies were very excited and trashed. There was tons of food. A vast majority included red meat which I do not eat, but the people I was with raved about the skirt steak. I can attest to the fact that the Eggplant and the Chicken Scarpiello were absolutely amazing. Around 10PM the DJ starts playing music and the restaurant essentially turns into a club. We danced for hours and had a blast. I’ve read a few reviews about the music playing throughout dinner being old. I actually recall saying to one of my friends, «Wow I guess they’re going through every 90’s R&B singer tonight.» I loved the music because I was born in the 80’s and raised in the 90’s so the majority of us were loving the music. Service was great. It was all hands on deck and when the dessert came out and I was unable to eat any of it due to a nut allergy my server had something brought out especially for me. Loved that! Oh and the birthday song is annoying and oddly fantastic at the same time. My only issue is that there was no waiting area. It was cold and I had to wait outside for my friends to arrive for a good 20 minutes.

Went here for the first time this week– it was ok but nothing to rave about. The service and wine were good. The food– not so much. For appetizers we had corn soup and artichoke salad– both were fine. For dinner, I had the chicken and it was very dry. One friend had penne alla vodka, which lacked flavor, and my other friend had the skirt steak which she enjoyed. For dessert, we each had the semifreddo nutella– yummy but when they delivered them, they were half melted and our plates were more of a blob of brown. Once again, didn’t hate it but can’t say that I plan on going back or recommending it to others.

Two of us went out to dinner this past Wednesday. It was horrible. We had a terrible experience. It was extremely overpriced. example: extremely small arugula salad for $ 17. The waiter ignored us all night. Then add 20% gratuity to our bill for a party of two. The portions were extremely small. After spending almost $ 100, we left there hungry. They will never see us again.

hosted a party for 25 people two weeks ago. Manager and staff were extremely accommodating and professional. The food was great, course after delicious course. The food was paced perfectly and was plentiful. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the night. This is a must if you want great Italian food in Stamford or anywhere for that matter.

We have been to Patrizia’s 3 times. I look for consistency and I got it here. The food was wonderful, beautifully plated and capably served. The ambiance is lovely especially with the floor to ceiling windows open in the summer time. An all around wonderful experience.

I had eaten here for business over the last 4 years, and was SO pleased they were open for Easter dinner as they WERE the«real deal» from Arthur Avenue or Mulberry Street, right in our back yard. Easter afternoon found a friendly staff. The manager was nice. The restaurant was kinda empty; maybe 4 tables active and ours. An empty bar. Appetizers took 25 – 30 minutes to arrive. Baked/stuffed clams arrived, lukewarm, and extra large(chowder clams) and whole. Seasoned bread-crumbs and olive oil over the top and broiled. The clams themselves were rubbery, tough and not chewable or digestible had we swallowed them(again, large chowder clams). The manager was on us like a hawk and the chowder clams were removed for a substitution of the portobello mushroom tower(a portobello mushroom split and stuffed with tomato slices and broiled with mozzarella on top the the mushroom cap surrounded in a red sauce. They arrived in 12 minutes, lukewarm, again. They were fresh, but bland and boring; no seasoning. Entrees came. A pasta dish, fresh ingredients, lukewarm, bland and boring; no seasonings(maybe a hint of herbs, no spices). Also, a veal dish; fresh ingredients, lukewarm as well, bland and boring; no seasonings, no herbs, no spices. Sweet Marsala or sherry — maybe, but only 2 medallions, not 3; one whole, and one cut in half and draped on either side of the whole medallion to make the dish look bigger. Our salad was the WRONG salad from what we had ordered, but it was fresh. The coffee was fresh and very tasty; so was the cheese cake and the Italian ice-creams. The bottle of wine was nice, but pricey. Reflecting on my first 2 visits over 3 – 4 years, I would have sworn on a stack of cooking bibles that I was on Arthur Avenue or Mulberry Street or in an old Italian-American neighborhood in Brooklyn NY — but today, particularly on Easter Sunday with a $ 150 check(and no complimentary desert or after dinner drink for even serving us the rubber clams) I would swear that I was in Kansas or Oklahoma or South Dakota. Even Greek Dinners in the area have better Italian cuisine; Northern or Southern Italian. Did the chef stay home for Easter Sunday, and the dishwasher filled in? And what’s with the terrible choice in the too loud music for an Italian Restaurant, and that horrid, and even louder, Birthday song; the ambiance of a roller-rink! Sorry Patrizia’s, I regret to say — we are never coming back.

Was there with a group of friends. We waited for a good five minutes and had to ask for menus. I’m not sure if they did this because we were waiting for one person to join us, but most restaurants would have offered to take our drink order. To make matters worse, the waitress was standing around talking at the hostess stand. The food was great and the service was good after the rocky start. However, the manager(or maybe it was the owner) was very distracting. He hovered around the dining area snapping his fingers and signaling to the busters and waitstaff. I understand that he wanted to train his staff and perfect service, but it was extremely off putting.

I came here with my wife one Saturday night because our DJ from our wedding was playing here. We ordered the fried calamari to start and I had the chicken scarpariello and she had the chicken parmesan. Mine was good but when she cut into her chicken it was dark she thought it was veal when in fact the chicken was overcooked. They did not give us a problem she sent it back and they brought her a fresh piece of chicken. It was delicious I was very happy with the hospitality here. they made us feel at home. They brought us to complementary shots of limoncello in addition we each ordered the lemon sorbet in a lemon. I was very happy with our experience here and we will definitely go back. Our DJ was phenomenal as usual.

I have dined at Patrizia’s many times and it has always been consistently great. The service is excellent and Giacomo, an owner always tries to please. The food is always excellent and made with the freshest ingredients. There are always delicious seasonal specials that showcase these fresh ingredients. Much attention is paid to freshness and quality. The breads served at the table are delicious and plentiful. The house made Burrata is the best I have ever had. The fish and seafood dishes are excellent and again the freshest you can get. The portions are extremely generous and it is best to order family style or share different dishes. The management takes great pride in this restaurant and very much aims to please. If you don’t see what you want on the menu and they have the ingredients, they will make you what you are asking for. My husband and I travel to dine here from Long Island. We have taken many of our friends here and they have all loved it told their friends that it is well worth the trip!

My recollection of this place is very memorable. My spouse and I received a $ 100 dining credit as a part of Package included with Hotel Zero Degrees. I was far from disappointed. By far one of the best Italian meals I have ever had. The pasta Tasted fresh, the sauce tasted fresh, the steak I had was very well prepared and succulent. I Manager was attentive and accommodating, Making recommendations on wine and entrees. Constantly checking to see how we were doing but also giving us space to enjoy the meal. I recommend this place over and over again.

Don’t go if you don’t like birthday songs over and over again. I didn’t mind. The food we had was really yummy. I tasted spaghetti with clams and special braised short ribs. Service is spotty.

Food was not in par with the pricing, staff was poorly trained. Asked for refills several times, sugar, ect. Meatballs were the signature dish… lots of breadcrumbs. Not like mom makes. You can find better Italian food in Stamford. Unilocal will help you!

My experience at Patrizia’s couldn’t have been better. I live in the city, but was in Stamford for a business dinner. We took our team of 10 to Patrizia’s and had the most memorable business dinner experience ever. They started the night off right by sitting us at a large circular table — I hate large group dinners at long tables, because it stifles group conversation. The owner immediately greeted us and asked if we were«open» to anything — we said«yes» and he took our menu’s away immediately. For the next three hours, we enjoyed dish after dish of incredible Italian cuisine — all chosen by the chef and served to our group family style. It was the perfect way to try a little bit of everything — I left completely stuffed! Overall, I highly recommend Patrizia’s and will be returning here if I’m ever back in Stamford!

The most wonderful and delicious italian restaurant in the area. My boyfriend and I opted for the all inclusive $ 55 a head meal which was well worth the price: 4 antipasti, 2 pasta plates, 2 meat plates, 2 cappuccini, dessert and wine included. Because no one reviewed yet, I had to let you know this place is to die for and is good to the last drop. Also, they are not skimping on vino; pink label big bottle of chianti. I will definitely return with anyone willing to join. I’m glad I live on the block! this post was written about 6 months ago but i never posted it! Still love Patrizia’s, went there last week! :)

They aim to please! I have eaten at Patrizia’s several times with different groups of people. I have ordered family style and regular dinners. Both give good portions of food and the food is wonderful! Family style is a great deal with many courses and all the beer & wine you can drink! Each course appears small at first but don’t be deceived! They portion each course with just enough food so that you will not get overstuffed before you get to the end. The courses vary each time you go… sometimes there is lobster… sometimes prime rib… but every time — delicious and plentiful! They provide enough of a variety that even if you don’t like a certain dish, there is enough food to eat. Unique, good desserts too! The wait staff is friendly and attentive & typically one of the owners will come by to see if you are satisfied with your meal. I highly recommend Patrizia’s!

Decent to good food, poorly trained staff. Stopped by for lunch on Sunday Sept 2nd and was told that the RW was over. But forgive me, according to : «Stamford Downtown Summer Restaurant Weeks are taking place Monday, August 20th — Monday, September 3rd, 2012.» So WTF? But perhaps it’s blessing in disguise. I ordered the veal panini & wild stripped bass. The former was overly fried & hard; the latter was had crunchy skin side and juicy inside, truly spectacular. My bartender, Jose, on the other hand was pretty useless. His favorite responses were: «I don’t know», «Let me find out», etc. Not ready to come back anytime soon.

Food was excellent, service was great, and prices were quite reasonable. We were a group of 5 adults dining on Saturday night at 9PM — everyone enjoyed the food and we were impressed by the affordable wine list. We WOULD like to rave about this place and would have given 5 stars except for one major issue — the annoying birthday song that loudly interrupts dinner every 15-minutes or so. It’s a pre-recorded childish song that is completely inappropriate for Saturday night at 9PM(particularly at a place that otherwise is a nice restaurant/bar). The music is something you should only hear at Chuck E. Cheese for a kids birthday party… it really is that childish. It’s sad that a place with such great food has to be spoiled by this major«stopper». In summary, if its your birthday, and/or you are with a group of kids, and/or you enjoy an environment similar to shopping at Stew Leonard’s on Saturday morning, then this is a great place. If you are a group of adults looking for a cool place for a night out, dine elsewhere.

I really wanted to like this place. Patrizia’s came highly recommended, so when the opportunity came to meet up with a small group in Stamford for dinner, we decided to check it out. Things started out well enough. The server was friendly, and the family style dinner sounded like a great deal(a selection of appetizers, pasta, entrees, dessert, and coffee with wine included for $ 55/person). Our group decided to go with the a la carte menu, thinking we would come back with larger appetites next time and try the family style. Unfortunately, this was our first and last time eating at Patrizia’s. For the first course, we ordered some apps(Buratta mozzarella, PEI mussels, and the Caesar salad). The food came out quickly and was thoroughly enjoyed. We were also impressed with the wine offerings — decent 1.5L bottles of wine at very reasonable prices — perfect for the group we were with! Unfortunately, here is where the night took a turn for the worse. Suddenly, without warning, the ambient music cut out and a blaring recording of a ridiculously obnoxious Happy Birthday song was blasted throughout the restaurant. We were all quite startled by this — one moment we were conversing and enjoying our meal, the next we were having the ambiance of a Chuck E Cheese pizza party jammed down our throats. As we picked up the silverware we had dropped and tried to make sense of what had happened, one of my friends told the server, «I really hope we don’t hear that song again tonight.» The waiter laughed and gave us the look of a man who truly knew what Hell was. He informed us that we would be hearing that song quite a few times throughout the evening. If we knew then how right he was, we probably would’ve finished our appetizers and fled the restaurant. Now, let me take a moment to mention that we were not eating at 2pm, when a restaurant could reasonably be expected to cater to the family crowd. No, this was an 8pm reservation on a Saturday night, when a group of adults should be able to visit any restaurant that doesn’t have an animatronic rodent as a spokesman or walls laden with old sports equipment and road signs to enjoy a nice night out. We forged on, ordering the pasta special — a light, fresh Fusilli dish with olive oil, peas, and asparagus. It was fantastic, one of the highlights of the evening. We then shared several entrees — chicken parm, salmon, skirt steak, a veal chop special, and chicken scarpiello. The food was great, with the only exceptions being the salmon(which was quite burnt — I love blackened seafood, but the skin on this fish was reduced to charcoal) and the skirt steak(tasty, but served well done when it was ordered medium rare). The birthday song? Played at least five times as we rushed to finish our food. At one table, they played the song, then(for reasons I can only guess at) they played it AGAIN! By this point, we were so fed up that one of our group asked to speak with the manager. We respectfully told the manager that the food and service were great, but that song would cost the restaurant any of our future business and it was inappropriate at this type of restaurant at this time of night. The manager shrugged, said they were«known for their birthday song» and that it was not a childish song. We knew then that we had lost the fight. It seemed most of the staff agreed with us, but the people in charge — the manager and, presumably, the owners — are as clueless as the stoned circus clowns that recorded the song in the first place. I hear this place is open until 2am or so — maybe it is worth checking out post-bar when there will be no kids and you won’t care about the ambiance as much… Maybe you can order some of the delicious food to go, screech the car up to the curb, run in and grab the bag while clamping a hand over your ears… Maybe you are hard of hearing and you can turn the hearing aid off and eat in peace… however, if none of these apply, pass on Patrizia’s and visit one of the many other great dining establishments around Stamford. Unless, of course, it’s your birthday…

I have to say that the food was really good. The fried calamari was nicely breaded, light and didn’t feel heavy at all. My entrée, which was an arugula salad with some grilled chicken really hit the spot. The kids ordered some chicken parm(which they could have easily shared; not sure why the waiter didn’t suggest it) and my daughter ordered salmon, which was very rich and buttery. My husband ordered chicken scarpiello, which was spicy and smooth at the same time. My main beef was the waiter, who seemed bored and who also hovered at the same time, so not sure what was going on there. The other waitstaff, however, were polite and helpful. I would definitely go back there — the food was nicely prepared with great presentation and had a lot of great taste. Also, at 7:00, the music(which I couldn’t tell what it was) suddenly got really loud and annoying.
