Lord & Taylor

So disappointed with lord & Taylor I tried to buy shoes and the guy working there was not helpful at all. he would bring me the shoe without saying a word and if they didn’t have my size he would just shake his head. I asked him for a different size twice and he didn’t care or bother to say a word so I didn’t bother to shop in that store. Most of the ladies seem nice though: in the perfume department the, lady working in Bobby Brown department, and maybe somewhere else but definitely not the guy in the shoe department. also, somebody working in the cologne department downstairs! I was waiting there once for over 10 minutes and nobody came to help me. I’m done trying to shop in that store

Salesperson requested my license for a return. She neglected to give it back to me and I didn’t notice till almost 2 weeks later when I was leaving for Asia and needed identification. I called the store and they said they had the license… I told them I was leaving for the airport to go to Asia… they just said come and get it. There was no apology. The store should have contacted me since it was given to Security… it had my address on it and my name and so contacting me would not have been an issue. They couldn’t be bothered to make that effort even though it was their error. I even wrote to Lord & Taylor explaining what happened and they never responded. I think this incident shows extremely poor customer service. I am certain if they thought I owed money they would have called me immediately! They knew I was now driving without my license and made no effort to contact me. The store does not have a customer service department so you have to do everything thru the 800 number. So I am giving one star due to terrible customer service.

went in a few days ago to see what purses they had in stock and decided to also just browse around. all of a sudden i see associates harassing and following us around the ENTIRE store. also was able to over hear associates talking saying we looked suspicious just walking around and looking at items, im sorry if i want to browse i will doesnt mean i have to be harrased. i worked retail for many years and that was the worst experience ever! i will never come here again. i was going to purchse a pair of boots but after i realized all of this, NO! ill take my buismess else where!

My biggest mistake was signing up for Lord and Taylor text message sales. Every time my phone buzzes with one, which is about weekly, I’m tempted to go stock up on some more clothes.
Huge selection, and seriously great sales. I need to stay away for the next month. And unsubscribe from the text messages.

Oh how I miss having Lord and Taylor in Denver.
I shopped this Stamford store for years but had not been back in a long time until today. There were huge sales going on this weekend and I wished I had more time. Even though there is an eastern «look» to a lot of the stock, I saw many things I could even wear in Boulder/​Denver. Amazing shoe and intimates clearance and lots of cool weather choices already too. They had brands and sizing not common outside major metropolitan areas.
The staff was friendly and they were everywhere. Good parking too as this is a stand alone somewhat suburban store and not a mall location.

This is a great department store and I like that it’s a standalone, as someone else mentioned., HOWEVER, if they are going to promote these constant sales, and attract these huge crowds. They need to have the staff and resources to compensate for their shoppers. Absolute chaos in there and I won’t even get started on the jewelry department! Just because it’s jewelry doesn’t mean you should have some old woman who can’t do 2 things at once! SORRY!

I like that this L&T is a stand-​alone store, so you don’t have to deal with all of the mall nonsense like fighting for parking (and then having to pay for it). I also like that it has a fair selection of merchandise for men and young men.
Here’s what I don’t like about L&T: I walked in a few days ago wearing work boots, jeans, and a hooded sweatshirt… I couldn’t get anyone to help me without an attitude! I wanted to purchase a bottle of cologne that I really like, Bleu de Chanel, if you must know ;-). The salesperson, with her snotty attitude, didn’t even make eye contact with me and said, «You do know that this fragrance costs eighty dollars?» I chuckled, «Yes, I’m fully aware of the price.» I mean, c’mon, seriously? Didn’t your mom ever teach you to not judge a book by it’s cover?
This L&T is cool, as long as you don’t have to speak to anyone.

All around, the best Lord and Taylor I have ever been to, ever. Tons of parking and easily accessible off of High Ridge Road, this location is a stand-​alone store. In particular, their jewelry section, designer jeans, designer dresses, and intimates section is the best I’ve seen in any location! I’ve seen a better cocktail dress selection at the Burlington, MA location, but this one is pretty great, too. There’s also a nice-​looking restaurant!
