This is a great local hardware store. The staff is extremely helpful and don’t mind spending time with you to make sure you have everything you need for your diy project. If you pick up the wrong part they are great with returns or exchanges.

Great store. While Home Depot is hit or miss, these guys always have what I’m looking for. Helpful staff as well.

I like to support the local business before I go to big box stores. The employees are willing to help you. Shopping at Karps is Ok.

Maybe it’s a function of my age, but remember when hardware stores were in every neighborhood and the staff was able to find the doo-hickey to fix every thinga-ma-jig that started making a thump-thump-thwack? I know I am to blame, since I run to Home Depot when I am doing serious remodeling, like a zillion other people. There is an alternative to HD, though: it’s Karps. Just like the old days, the staff knows its stuff. Great hardware store, with all the departments that round out the tools, nails and paint. PLEASE help keep neighborhood hardware stores alive and go to Karps!

Well i’ve only been here to copy keys, but it was a pleasant experience. I happened to not have been able to look up key copying places effectively on google for whatever reason, and ended up down near Bev Max on my bike with creepy dudes telling me it’s peligroso. yeah thanks. Well I guess I was late because that place was closed, but apparently Karp’s stays open until 7pm. Not so bad. My roommate suggested going to Karp’s because it’s much closer, and although my key i got copied didn’t work the first time(potentially because the original key was bent), they copied a new one for me, for free and now i have a hot tiger print key to keep on my sweet non existent key chain because i have no other keys. Since i’ve been there a whopping two times, i’ve seen the establishment, and it’s pretty big. They seem to have a wide selection of hardware-type items. If I ever need to do some handy work i’m sure they’ll be just as helpful about figuring out what the hell I need.
