Lots of choices of brews. Games to play while you wait for your food. Small town bar feel to it. Fish and chips were really good.

This place is a true dive bar. We went there on a Sunday evening. It appears to have many regular customers. They have a very good beer selection. The staff was friendly but salty. While we were sitting at the bar, a man walked in from outside wearing nothing but underwear. He was confronted by Paddy(the owner) and the two went outside. The man took a swing at Paddy, then ran around the restaurant where several police officers were searching for him. At this point, EVERY employee of the place ran outside. The man would not comply with instructions and was tazed. It created a lot of excitement. The food is average bar food. It is LOUD as they love watching sports.

Great place to drink especially in groups, good food, and good laughs. It’s is a bar that leans heavily to Marines and government workers. It is reminiscent of an old school, old time neighborhood bar. The bartenders are characters. They are funny and witty. They can throw zingers and take them as well. 6 stars

Went here with my friend today at around 2pm or so to grab a quick brew and snack while in the area. Walked in and noticed it was a little weird how large this place was but so empty. We head to the bar, the man tending came over. We asked him what they had on draft as we were a little too far away to see the taps, he quickly rattled off the list. We each picked our libations and then I also asked for an order of cheese fries. The bartender asked if we wanted bacon on the fries and as a vegetarian I said no. The man quickly retorted«Are you Muslim or something?!» ****BREAKSSCREEEECH**** Excuse me!!! No I am not a Muslim, but if I was, who the hell do you think you are asking and what the hell does it matter anyway!!! After an almost never ending awkward silence I repeated«No bacon, please». He quickly made another«quip» about how he was going to hide bacon in my food and off he went. My friend and I sat there baffled by what was just said. I actually said I regretted ordering the food. Fries were dropped off about 8 minutes later. Nothing special at all. A tasteless greasy cheese mess. We had our fill and were ready to check out. Sat there staring at the bartender while he worked the other end of the bar hoping to be noticed. Finally after about 10 minutes of staring at him and trying to get his attention he noticed me and offered my check and gave me a box for the fries. We walked out feeling just appalled. I have been to a lot of restaurants in my day and was even a server for a brief period of time, and never in my day have I been treated like I was not welcome at an establishment. I will never return.

I usually love this place. Tonight, St Paddy’s Day, they should have more than one server on the floor. One folks, just one, tonight, St Paddy’s Day. They have a full house and three deep at the bar and one server. For a place this size on a night like tonight, there should be three to five servers. Needless to say, the service on the floor was slooooooooow.

This place has no good dishes. The only decent meal is the hamburgers here. The waiters are all mean and can’t manage a tab well and tend to overcharge you for items you did not order. When complaining about being overcharged, you will be yelled at and talked down to by the«not so friendly» waiters. One tip of advice to you: Don’t go here. It’s a cheaply run place that isn’t worth going to.

I was not impressed with this place at all. I guess it’s a nice place to go for after work drinks and fries. I’m new to the area and wanted to try something different but nothing sounded good. I saw Paddy’s and thought, Irish food would be good, not had it in a long time. I walked in and thought it was just a bar. It was dark and loud but only had about 20 – 25 people there for drinks. I went ahead and ordered, disappointed there was NO real Irish items on the menu. I got the fish and chips with a salad. The salad had soggy tomatoes that looked like they had been frozen, with ½ a dipping cup(the small clear plastic ones you get in to go boxes) of dressing. Then came dinner. Warm, close to cold fries and a big piece of fish that didn’t look cooked all the way and had no flavor. I will not be returning here or referring anyone to eat here. The waiter was nice, that’s the only nice thing that come to mind for Paddy’s.

Friend stopped in there. Said the place smelled nasty. Smelled of stale beer, dirt, and dirty drains. To make matters worse she was served a glass of wine in a glass that had lipstick on it. I have no interest in ever going there.

I’m not sure what I was expecting, but I didn’t get it. Food was bad, atmosphere was weird. Bartender was nice enough, but I can cross this off the list for sure.

What happened??? We have bragged and couldn’t wait to take my family when they visited to this place. How embarrassed we were recommending this place after our visit. I write this review with comparable experience from previous visits. On 9−5−14 we were there around 730ish in the evening and there was only 1 waitress and 2 bartenders. There were over a dozen tables with customers not including the people at the bar. So the wait time to just get drinks was extremely long. Our waitress seemed new or just out in lala land. Because she was either hiding in the backroom behind the double doors underneath the yankee’s sign or just walking the perimeter and skipping us. The kitchen staff was actually bringing out our food and they were super friendly making sure we had everything we need. The food portion size has been cut back significantly since our last visit but the prices sure don’t reflect that. The food was definitely not worth the $ 100 bill we received and the only time our waitress paid attention to us was when she was waiting to pick up the check. That was the quickest we saw her return to our table. Paddy’s I am so disappointed in our visit. We are BIG supporters of family owned and not big box. But it will be a long time before we come back there and spend our money. Very disappointed and embarrassed we went there.

Cant say anything bad about Paddys, home away from home. Love the people, good friends and a wonderful crowd. No fights, everybody keeps an eye on the place. Always felt comfortable bringing the family in since they opened. Burgers, wraps and appetizers

I had avoided this place due to the bad reviews, but it wasn’t as horrible as the reviews let on. Not expensive, decent menu, and cheap beer. Aside from a good cheap place to get hammered, the name is the only thing Irish about the place. Also, the ambiance tends to attracts the less refined(not sure if that was the owner’s intent, but got to call it like I see it), so I’d hesitate to drag my kids here after lunch time.

While I’m not sure why my officemates love this place, I can say this — they have cheap drinks. Being used to DC prices, having the bartender tell me $ 4 when I order a cocktail was like being hit with a cool breeze on a warm day. Welcome and good. The food? Meh. Avoid unless you’re hungry. The only customers I ever see eating here are old Marines who, well, let’s face it, aren’t used to haute cuisine since they spent a career kicking ass on behalf of America. God love ‘em, just not their tastes.
