The prices at Lumber Liquidators are very good, and the staff is very knowledgeable. At this particular location, we got a ton of help from Tony, Matt, and Bo. Tony explained all the different types of flooring choices that we had questions about, and the types of installation, then throughout the install process, Matt and Bo where there to help us with any questions and concerns we had. Their contractor, Eddie, was also very friendly and knowledgeable, and is very honest about questions we had with regard to material and installation type. My only real concern was with follow up after our purchase. Once we bought all of our materials and had everything picked up, communication seemed to drop off a bit. I was always the one initiating calls for updates and status on when we could expect the contractor to come out and do the install. We had picked up our materials and were told to expect to let the flooring sit in our house for about a week, but that the contractor would call us to schedule after we had picked up and signed our paperwork. I waited about a week before calling the store and asking when the contractor would be calling me. After which I finally did get a follow up call to schedule. Once the work was done, which was a great job, I waited for a follow up call to see if we had any questions/concerns, or needed anything. We did need a couple of gaps filled and some loose boards taken cared of, and was waiting for the contractor head(Eddie) or someone from the store to follow up, but it took about another week before we got the call from what sounded like the corporate office checking on our install. This was after, I had tried to email Bo at the store and leave Eddie several text messages. I mentioned to the corporate how happy we were and how professional the installers(Marvin and crew) were, but that we would like for someone to come back for some touch ups. Our same installer came back and was able to take care of everything for us. We’re really happy with his(Marvin) work and would recommend him to anyone. Although the purchase and install went smoothly, I just feel like communication was lacking and difficult between the store and the head contractor after we paid for all of our materials. I understand how busy things can be, but there is no reason for unanswered text and emails to the people in charge of our purchase and install. It probably would have been easier to just call our actual installer instead of trying to go through the chain properly. I’d still recommend Lumber Liquidators for pricing and quality of their materials, and their contractors are good, but just be on top of contacting them instead of waiting for them to call you.

Warning don’t use their installer. The material is fair but service is horrible. I paid over $ 20k for bamboo flooring to be installed. The over charged me and over ordered. When they were scheduled to install the made so many excuses and did a crappy job. The stairs was don’t incorrect and un even. The sides were not installed right and coming apart. It took them 2 months and did not haul the trash aways. Bo the manager does not care and it is so often that they get complaints the sales people have corporate number memorized and the process how to file a complaint. Just google the reviews you will see they are horrible installers. I wished I check it out rather than believing HGTV.

After initial installation in October 2013, the flooring began buckling in January 2014. We have as yet been unable to get the local store or corporate to respond and fix the problem, either to us or the Better Business Bureau. Well, it’s now September and still no repairs. An «independent industry inspector» came out mid-August, took pictures, took measurements, and otherwise inspected the installation, with the installer on-hand. Lumber Liquidators claims they have not yet received the report and once they do, will have to review it to proceed. Coincidentally, the one year warranty will expire in November 2014. Stalling a little maybe???
