Best hamburger I’ve ever had. Hands down. The meat is so fresh and juicy, you don’t need many toppings at all because the beef speaks for itself. The owner is super friendly and very committed to his restaurant. He works hard to ensure a good experience for his customers. We love the new location in Stafford, because it’s the closest sit-down restaurant to us now. Good local casual dining experience.

Hate to say it, but this place has no identity. Too diverse of a menu. I ordered the Korean ribs which were way to salty, but tender. Dinners come with soup or salad. They were out of soup at 6 on a Sat and there were only two tables of people there… Someone in my group had the baby back ribs and said they were tough. Another had a burger and said it was decent. So many better places to eat 15 mins south in F’Burg.save your money or go south.

We really love this place! Menu has a lot of options and can please a wide variety of taste buds! The pot stickers appetizers are Delicious! The Pork. chicken or beef Bulgogi are really the best! The chicken Quesadilla is the best I’ve ever had anywhere !! The Japanese Hamburger is our daughters favorite! It doesn’t have a bun but gravy & mashed potatoes! We have been at least 6 times since January & never a wrong choice!

We came back here a couple weeks ago and they were closed. The signage for Jackie’s Bistro & Bar was gone and there was a lock on the door. Now that I look at the address, I think they must have moved because it’s no longer on Plank Rd.

Great food and service. Spicy pork wraps and short ribs were superb and the chef came out of the kitchen to check on us during the meal! Can’t say enough great things about this place.

Amazing food. EVERYTHING was fresh. He was a chef at a 5-star hotel and his food shows. Very respectful, very clean, very organized. Highly recommended.

Had a fabulous dinner at Jackie’s tonight! I had the Beef Bolgoki and my friend had the BBQ pork. Super tasty and fresh. I have some food allergies and requested that they omit a couple of ingredients and it was remembered. The service was very good and prompt. The chef even came out and greeted us to make sure everything was cooked to our liking. The place was recommended by my son who said he had the best burger in his life at this place. I will definitely be back!

Wow! What a fresh new experience in Stafford Virginia! We got our Friday Night group together here for the first time — we’re coming back. The appetizers were to die for. The lettuce wrapped beef was the best I’ve had with great marinaded ribeye for the meat. Their gu mandu dumplings were perfect. The wings beat out the local wings places here in Stafford. The potato skins with pulled pork had Cole slaw and onion rings topping them. And check out their fries! OMG. This is a diamond in the rough!

The food and service were really good. Their prices are a bit high for the environment and have heard this complaint from friends. The food was good enough to almost warrant the extra cost.

Pretty good. The timing is off drinks, food and then you have to ask for flat wear and a napkin. I wish that the flat ware and napkin were on the table when I sat down. Saving grace is the food is very good and priced right. I am sure with a little more time they will work out their kinks.

All I can say is if Jackie’s wasn’t doing that well in Fredricksburg, she sure didn’t pick a great spot to re-open. Restaurants there open and close within just a couple of months or so and have since I have lived in that area. So you better have 5-Star service if you even want to stand a chance of staying open.

Jackie’s opened recently. We moved around the corner and decided to give it a try during a lunch break. Service is friendly, but a little slow. I think they are working out the kinks with the new staff, etc. Food is excellent. I got the pork lettuce wraps appetizer. Phenomenal! Husband got the Japanese burger.(Igt does not come on a bun). Thr mashed potatoes are homemade. Veggies well seasoned. Burger cooked to a perfect medium.

Moved to Stafford Courthouse area — Rt. 1& Hope Rd. Great place! Food is very good and very different. So many menu items. The pulled pork potato skins are outstanding and a meal in itself. Service was also very good.

They closed down their restaurant. I read it in the Free lance star today and even so, they moved to a new location, but never placed a sign on the door. This is what happens when you consistently show disrespect to the residents and other restaurant personnel who tried to frequent their establishment, only to be disappointed nearly each time they visited the restaurant. I was hoping for a great fun place to bring my niece and nephew for kids night out, but no. . I hope you find success in you new establishment, but you can count me out in trying you ever again. No relationship with the clientele. Good luck. I hope they get a great restaurant at the Lone Star location.

CLOSED!!! Dropped by the other day having seen the restaurant dark early Sunday evening. The beer taps are off, the wall hangings gone and a lockbox on the door. No signage on the door or anywhere else. Not sure what happened but it’s a real shame. They brought some interesting ideas and concepts — and received some nice reviews — but you could tell from the beginning that the setup and execution were somewhat confused and just not on target.

Restaurant was empty and the food took 45 minutes to come out. Prices are high, flooding bathroom sinks. The food is decent. The yellow rice served with meals is bland and dry. The servers are nice.

Probably one of the most awkward dining experiences I’ve ever encountered. The place only had about 4 or 5 tables full on a Saturday evening. And we could hear every word of every conversation happening around us because it was a very quiet, completely open room. Our server was incredibly timid, which unfortunately did nothing to make us more comfortable. The menus were in red paper folders… like elementary school folders you would find at the dollar store — no exaggeration — which was a shame because the overall look and décor of the place was very nice. The food was actually decent with huge portion sizes for most dishes. It just wasn’t noteworthy enough to overcome the rest of the experience. I think the place has some potential if they figure out a way to make it more cozy and inviting, but we won’t be back anytime soon at this rate.

Went on wednesday night. «Ladies night» ladies get a free appetizer with a drink purchase. I got the gin fizz and chicken wings. both were good! Weird vibe throughout the place though. They also have a good selection of beers. Hardywood’s pumpkin beer was only $ 4 on happy hour

I had no idea what I was getting myself into. After the we walked in and was seated, it didn’t take long for me to figure it out. This place was amazing! The staff was well dressed and very informative. The menu was full of all sorts of different dishes that could please everyone. I am a big fan of Korean food, this place has the best! I ordered the pork bulgogi. … just Wow! The meals were very reasonably priced, under 100 for people. I will back again and again!

Nice new restaurant on Rt3 in Spotsylvania. Casual yet sophisticated atmosphere. Service was excellent and friendly. Food was served promptly and piping hot. It was very good and I thought the prices were reasonable. Overall, a very pleasant dining experience and I like supporting a locally owned restaurant instead of a corporate chain restaurant. Next time you are looking for a good place to eat, give Jackie’s a try!

I kinda felt a rushed for drinks and our order. The gentleman sits us down and asks for our drinks before we can even decide or get comfortable. I feel like why not go get the table waters to start and come back and get drinks. Good food, but everything has pepper on it. Prices are reasonable for the amount of food. Music is a little awkward for the atmosphere. When training someone you should introduce them too, so it not someone following you around and its only polite and respectful.

We went to Jackie’s for the first time last night. We were a little nervous since the parking lot was empty at 6:00pm. We are so glad we decided to stay. All of us really enjoyed our meals. I got the Japanese Hamburger. It was cooked perfect and the flavor was wonderful. The veggies and mashed potatoes were very good too. My husband had a Japanese beef dish that he loved. I also tasted it and it was delicious. It was a large portion of beef too. The kids got a steak and cheese and barbecue sandwichs that they loved. We highly recommend it. The only reason I am giving it 4 stars is because the kids said the fries were under cooked and the menus are a little childish. The menu pages are in plastic sleeves in a .20 cent red folder. They need to get professional menus if they want to be taken serious.

Came in on a Thursday night place was almost empty. Decided ed to give them a chance anyway. We were greeted and seated by a nicely dressed waiter. Atmosphere is very nice. White tablecloths. Bar is open but no tomato juice available. Menue is photocopied in sheet protectors in an office depot folder. Weird. Tomato basil soup was salty. Served with teaspoons again weird no soup spoons. Beef bulgogi was tasty. I ordered salmon and asked for teriyaki sauce on it and chef wondered why. It was very good. Vegetables were inconsistent in quality. Waiter was friendly, neatly dressed and efficient. Food came out fast and hot. Overall everything was good. I recommend going in for a nice quiet dinner.

Came in here for lunch. Hubby had the club sandwich. You get to choose your cheese and bread(white, wheat, rye). He choose American. The sandwich was probably the best club we have ever tasted. The meat was seared and the cheese was very good. It came with fries and was around $ 10. It’s not loaded with a lot of meat, however. I was craving for some bulgolgi so my dish was the beef bulgoki steak. It was quite bad. For $ 12 as a lunch portion and for a restaurant that I think is owned by Asians, I expected a lot better. The beef was not grilled. I guess not all bulgoki is grilled??? It actually reminded me of beef meat from beef and broccoli from a bad Chinese take-out place. The beef was sorta soft and chewy yet plump in a weird way. Anyway, to make it worse, the rice was really mushy. Come on!!! How can you mess up rice!!! I’m not a picky rice person either. I’ve had some dry rice from Asian restaurants and don’t really complain about it. But when I order Korean food, I look forward to the rice. It also was yellow yet I couldn’t really figure out what flavors they put in it. Anyway, wouldn’t come back here for the Asian food. It’s not authentic. The club sandwich was really good but not sure if that would make us come back considering I was so disappointment by my dish.

I love this place. The inside has been redone and is beautiful. The food is really good, the homemade soups alone are worth going for. The barbeque sandwich is probably the best I’ve ever tasted. The beef bugolgi is amazing. They just started serving alcohol and wine too.

I’ve been trying to get out and try new restaurants that have been popping up in Fredericksburg so I thought I’d give this one a try today! It was very empty during lunch time today, and I know they just opened but the menus are currently paper like a high school project but needless to say we ordered mozzerella sticks to start, super yummy! I got the steak and cheese sandwich and it was pretty disappointing. It said there was«cheese sauce» on the sandwich and I expected it to be a yummy handmade sauce, it kind of tasted like stadium nacho cheese. My friend go the steak quesadilla and she enjoyed it. The Restaurant definitely has an Asian feel and taste to its food, however I think they need to find their identity and do something well. It is called a ‘Bistro & Bar’ — which made me think there would be an extensive drink menu, etc. There was no drink menu. I think they need to just focus their efforts on doing something well. I probably wont be back.

My husband and I tried it out finally. We heard that there were delays with permits, per the newspaper(The Freelance Star). I was worried when I saw the cloth napkins(thus the price, and I prefer paper napkins) but the food was very good.(see pics that I hope to post after this review) The dinner prices were very pricey. but the«sandwich» section was good and fair in price. My hubby ordered the chicken burrito bowl. He loved it. yet, they were out of one of the three sauces, that go with it, sigh. I ordered the cheeseburger. I like that they cook it how you ask, and it was perfectly medium rare(which I asked for). It had a fair amount of gristle going on but the flavor was very good and that buttery toasted bun was to die for. I upgraded the fries for the onion rings and they did a good job there too. You could bite through the onion vs it all pulling through the breading. If you all are listening,(owners that is) I would add a little sugar to the onion ring breading, but it was yummy. Our waiter was alone(initially) and appeared his finger had a slight bleed through his band-aid, but things do happen. Then he dropped a glass full of something, and had to clean it up himself. We felt bad for him and hoped that someone else would clean it up, as the tables started to fill, but he had to deal with it. Later, two more male waiters helped out and took some tables. There was a sign on the door for wait staff help, so, we took all that in stride. Our waiter was VERY polite and fast. I do have to say that the waiter barely let us start our meal and asked what we wanted for dessert. We said we didn’t need know and were just starting our meal. Then, before we were close to done with our meal, he asked if we wanted our check. I replied that I was still eating but that’s fine. We felt very rushed, yet tables were nearly empty still. They had 80’s music playing. That was my favorite time frame in life, so, that worked for me. So many places play rap or hip hop and that is awful for dinner time. When you are a new business, it would have been nice to see the owners come out and greet people, just see how they liked the food, etc. You get that at the local Joe’s crab shack and Chic Filet. Just some suggestions to get people to come back.
