I drive by this place all the time. I watched it getting built from the ground up. When I saw it was going to be called«Dulles Café», I got pretty excited, thinking it’d be a coffee shop. Unfortunately, the shop is anything but. I think it’s supposed to be some sort of ethnic(Indian?)-American fusion place, but honestly, I was pretty unimpressed. So much so that I’d probably say that I was pretty disappointed after trying it. I think the issues I have with this place are two-fold: 1) Environment/Atmosphere. For a place that is newly built, the interiors still seemed… shabby. Not that it wasn’t nice or new, but it just felt really incomplete. I get the feeling that the owners built the place themselves, or hired rather poor contractors to do the work. There wasn’t much interior seating space, but a third of the seating was taken up with signs that hadn’t been posted up yet. Again, there was a bit of an amateur feel to the construction, and it was noticeable even for me while I stood there waiting for my order. The entryway to the bathroom was… strange(for a lack of a better description). And don’t even get me started on the parking lot, if you can even call it that. Poor parking access, limited seating, incomplete interiors… I was glad that I was in-and-out of there. 2) Food. Now, the sad thing is that I couldn’t remember or figure out what this place was really supposed to be. The Unilocal page says it’s American food? I guess it could be. They do serve burgers and fries. But they also sell a Masala Burger, tacos, and gyros. Maybe I made the mistake of buying the masala burger on my visit. They took a while to get my order out(I was the only one in there). Which, btw, the lunch special of $ 2.99 is only for the burger. If you want fries and a drink it’s about the average price of any other place. So the separate fries that I paid extra for accounted for maybe a dozen fries. The Masala burger was… interesting. The patty wasn’t even shaped like a normal round patty so the meat wasn’t cooked consistently(there was a really crunchy side and a more normal side). The taste was just okay. But overall… an overpriced burger and fries that you should do yourself a favor and save your wallet, gas, and tastebuds.

Good tasty food for a reasonable price. Not cheap greasy food. Very exotic mixes with a lot flavor!

Completely agree with the«awkward» review. Placed my order clearly, and the guy appeared to be writing it down, but was later asked to repeat what I wanted on my sandwiches several minutes after the order had been placed. When to-go order was ready, two of the three sides I ordered were missing. I was told it would take«two minutes» to make them, but obviously it should have taken longer as they were discovered to be undercooked when I got them home. None of the sides was particularly tasty. The chicken patties were of the formed-and-pressed variety, and not very good quality of that. I’m glad there weren’t many other cars in the parking lot when I was there — I have no idea how you’d get in and out if all the spaces had cars in them. Very weird parking arrangement. I really like non-chain places, so I’m sorry not to be able to write a better review. I’d love to see them improve.
