Blue Island Divers

Can’t gush enough about the staff! Funny, laid back, highly skilled, and very service focused. I’m not certified and yet still had a great diving day.
I was bit confused about where to park, but wound up in the gravel lot area near the main gate. Didn’t get towed, but I’d pay attention and be sure before you disappear for hours underwater.
Btw there’s a fresh coconut — sugarcane stand just outside the marina. Pick some up to hydrate after the dive.

My trip to St. Tomas was for diving. I went to a Blue Island divers and had a the best dives I ever had. I highly recommend them to anyone that goes to St. Tomas. Thank you Megan for the dives and all your help

Although we are very experienced divers, it had been a looong time since our last dives. These guys were great — very attentive, worked hard (took care of all of gear between and after dives) and we got to see nice sites with a variety of life. Particularly liked the small groups on the boat!
We took the opportunity to get nitrox certified by them which was also fun.
Highly recommended!

I dove with Blue Island Divers three years ago and had a good experience so when we were planning our next family trip and I had the flexibility to scuba dive everyday, I thought I would plan ahead. I placed a reservation on their online form and received a confirmation and a nice «welcome» email from Morgan that same day. Upon showing up for the first dive, all my equipment was ready to go waiting for me along with a friendly welcome. The captain, Kilian, runs a top notch operation and it was good to reconnect again as he was the captain 3 years ago as well. Morgan was the dive master and was extremely prepared and helpful as we talked about my diving experience, training and the hopes of my experience. Based on that conversation, two locations were chosen and off we went.
Two incredible dives later, a deep wreck and a stunning reef… we talked about air consumption and since I was planning to spend the entire week diving with them, they introduced me to Nitrox training through PADI. We talked about the benefits and since I am a big proponent of additional training and learning, I asked if they could train/​certify me on Nitrox. This was a great experience as I learned a lot, received hands-​on individual training and was able to enjoy some diving that I would not have seen otherwise without the benefit of the training.
I could write about each dive at length and list the incredible reefs, wrecks, sea-​life, etc. that I saw, as it was incredible diving, but I will stick to the experience with Blue Island Divers so you will know what to expect.
Although I was staying on the island, I was impressed that they would accommodate divers arriving at port from the cruise ships by picking them up at the dock right by the cruise ships. This was a convenience for any cruise divers and based on the conversations I had with them, a major benefit to diving with Blue Island. I would highly recommend that if St. Thomas is a destination on your cruise and you are a diver (or even a snorkeler) that you contact Blue Island Divers.
I met some great people throughout the week. Divers of all levels and a handful of snorkelers were welcome and dive sites were chosen to maximize the experience. There was always a prepared boat, friendly crew and a nice balance so that you always felt like you had individual attention and never had to worry about being just a number in a crowd.
Although it is run very professionally and obviously safety comes first, you feel part of the «friends and family» of the crew.
Since this was a family trip for me, Kilian and Morgan arranged for a great outing for me and my 10 year old daughter, Sam. We went to Turtle Cove so Sam could snorkel and I could dive at the same time. It made it the trip of a lifetime for Sam! She lost count of how many turtles and stingrays she saw and the «maybe» sighting of a baby nurse shark under a ledge. We have been home almost a week and Sam is still telling Captain Kilian and Morgan stories and is excited to get scuba certified so she can dive with them next time. This was a great experience for myself and my daughter and I sincerely appreciate Kilian and Morgan adjusting to accommodate both to mine and my daughter’s needs. My daughter learned a lot about the ocean, sea life and snorkel/​swimming skills. Thank you Kilian and Morgan!
The rest of the crew is great as well! I got to dive again with «G» (Geoff) who I dove with 3 years ago as well as others who were always there to help and answer any questions.
So after a week of diving and coming back with a ton of stories, additional training and knowledge as well as a future scuba diver (Sam is already signed up to get junior certified), the diving trip could not have gone any better. Blue Island Divers is the best dive shop I have had the pleasure of diving with and I look forward to diving with them in the future. Captain Kilian runs a great shop, boat and crew and has great diving and life stories. Morgan took incredible care of me for the week and helped me become a better diver while seeing some incredible dive sites.
I highly recommend you dive with Blue Island Divers! Great diving, great experience and great people!

Just finished 5 days of diving with Kilian and crew. Excellent customer service, highly competent instructors and boat crew, good equipment, expert knowledge of each site and the Island. Boat is the Barefoot Diver; handles up to 12 divers per trip with 2 instructors and the captain. No head on board, so plan accordingly. Shower facilities on shore. They handle all your gear so just leave it with them when you arrive.
We plan to do several more days of diving with them before we leave for home. Had some issues with my personal gear and they have been very helpful! I’ve rated 5 stars for their operation and as good value, however, the weather this month has churned up the bottom and made most of our dives murky and less than ideal. Not their fault of course. Off shore diving the last few days has been much better. These guys have done their best to meet our expectations. Definitely recommend them for any diving on the western side of St. Thomas. Will come back in the future.
