We stopped at the Brass Tap for a few drinks before the Rays game. They have an amazing selection with a lot of local beers. I love that they color code their beer list. If you like Belgian beer like my Husband, you can just look for the beers listed in yellow. If you like fruit beer and cider, you look at the beers in pink, etc. They also have it marked for the beers that are not local. This makes it easy to support and try your local breweries that you haven’t had the chance to visit. Our bartender(I think her name was Summer) was awesome! She gave us samples of beers that we weren’t sure about. She was also wanting to talk beer and she even gave me a recommendation that I ended up ordering because it was dang good. Great service! Another thing that we really like about The Brass Tap is that they fill growlers(any growlers) with the beers that they have on tap. We knew about this ahead of time and came armed with our Rapp brewery growlers. They were pricey($ 20.50/each) for the fills, but my Husband did order more expensive(and high abv) beer. The atmosphere is nice and comfortable with several tv’s for watching the games. There is an outdoor section and an indoor. They had the indoor area open when we were there because it was nice outside. Overall, we really liked The Brass Tap. It will definitely be replacing WOB for our drinking stomping grounds when we want a large variety.

Really cool space with lots of TVs and great beer. Excellent selection of a wide range of beers. A pro or a con, depending on your perspective is that they don’t serve food. The good thing is that they allow any outside food you’d like and have several menus for restaurants that will deliver. They also offer selections from Rocco’s next door. Still… it makes for a long wait if the food is being delivered from some where else. Grab something for dinner and head over for the great covered but open patio, TVs and beer.

From the the grand opening party to now, the brass tap is constant with their great service that’s why I like this place. Whenever I have come in and needed suggestions because I want to try something new they have offered suggestions based on what I generally like. The atmosphere is great, very airy and open which I like. Also they often have fun bands that play on the weekends. They only thing that I would say is a slight downfall is that they don’t have a regular food menu. You can order something from Rocco but it depends on what time you want something because they only serve food at certain times and often is takes while. Overall it’s a great place to meet up with friends for a beer and listen to some good music.

Brittany and Sam were amazing beertenders! The Gose by Rapp was excellent so glad Brass Tap had this beer on draft, it’s a must try! If you’re ready for great local beer on draft then Brass Tap is the spot! If you’re hungry the famous Rococo’s will deliver right to your table even though they are not an affiliate of the Brass Tap!

This is exactly what St. Pete needed; a clean, relatively quiet craft beer bar. WoB has a good selection of beer, but I find it way too loud at night. They are also priced a little on the high side. Brass Tap has a nice upscale vibe to it. They have an excellent outdoor patio that transitions seamlessly into the interior when the weather is nice; when it is cooler they have tall heaters to heat the patio. The beer selection is excellent. They have 60 taps with a wide variety of beers; not just IPAs. They have a happy hour on most days from 4 – 7 with $ 1.50 off of all drafts and $ 3 house wines. They have some excellent beers at the $ 5 and $ 6 price points so it’s a great deal; I got Founder’s Breakfast Stout for $ 3.50!

Stouts porters and sours, oh my! If you care about a nice selection of stouts and porters this is the place, haven’t found anywhere else in town that comes close. There’s still a huge selection of other beer styles but as of this writing it is winter and they go a bit heaver on stouts/porters and less on wheats and light summer beers — tis the season! No sours on tap during my visit but a decent bottle selection of them. There are 60 taps here and a well rounded(and sectioned by variety!) bottle selection so there’s something for everyone(sorry low quality beer fans no bud/miller/coors here you’ll have to settle for PBR). Extremely helpful staff, comfortable seating, TVs showing sports and decent/tolerable popular music. Happy hour is $ 1.50 off tap beer from 3pm-7pm(at least on weekdays, from what I’ve gathered). Tobacco(especially smoked) is one of my pet peeves but I will overlook this in my rating as the cigars sold here can only be smoked in the patio area(and nobody was smoking while I was there). Canine friendly, I’m not a dog owner but one was there who had the sweetest pit and allowed me to pet it — dawwwws! hehe, good times. Did I mention the stouts porters and sours? Won a 5* rating from me, well done.

It seems there are a lot of tap houses opening up in St Pete. The Standard draft line with glass door coolers on each side. This place stands out from the crowd. The beer selection is «curated», not just having a bunch of beer for the sake of having a bunch of beers. They also support the local blossoming brewers. With some of the best of the best on tap. The Brass Tap is next to the Roccoco Steak House, and they we deliver a limited menu. I like the ambiance with a large covered patio. They also have a great mobile app that doubles as a cyber beer list.

This is not a place for quiet conversations– The Brass Tap attracts a large and boisterous crowd ranging from those in their early twenties to some in their fifties. There is partial outdoor(ish) seating, which helps dissipate the smoke, although you still get a throat full here and there. However, the beer selection is fantastic, with a little bit of everything up to and including quads. In fact, this chain has a lot of similarities to World of Beer. They don’t serve food here, but the extensive and well organized drink menu includes a brief page for ordering a very small variety of appetizers from Rococo next door(they will deliver to your table). The staff is very friendly and brought our beers very quickly. They also have good music here– on our first visit, Geri X was playing; it’s just too bad that the crowd is so noisy… it made it very difficult to enjoy the music.
