I have never been to a thrift store where jeans were organized by size so I was very impressed. Great prices. Was able to find several brand name clothing items in good condition without looking too hard. $ 12 for 4 items is not bad.

Checked it out — it was fine, nothing too earth shattering. I am traveling, so purchasing clothes was really out of the question as I wouldn’t be able to wash them before packing them. They did have a pretty good book selection — I also found a belt and a nice scarf. It’s a pretty big spot and parking is easy to get to. The place does smell musty, but what thrift store doesn’t?

Prices are beyond reasonable here. Selection is the obvious: much higher for women, but anyone can easily pick up something pretty nice for a little change.

I found this by chance and stopped in. Well, there went my budget for the month. Huh, I went crazy. I found so much… clothes, books, knick knacks. I love the selection… is this better than others-no is it worse-no. It’s on my list of when I want to thrift shop to visit.

Full, full, full of clothes(men’s, women’s, children’s). Different color tag each day gets 50% off on clothes. Sundays extra discount for those 55 and older. Very few small appliances and less furniture hidden way, way, in the back. Books, jewelry, handbags, shoes. Accepts major credit cards. Portion of proceeds benefit a children’s non-profit.

I really liked this thrift store! It’s probably one of the best ones I’ve ever been to, and I go thrifting a lot. Well organized, clean aisles, and friendly staff. I scored big on a few pairs of high waist shorts and vintage jewelry. Total cost was $ 7

Sunshine Thrift, while a bit on the grungy side, is one of the better thrift stores in St Petersburg, in terms of variety, inventory turnover and pricing. While they are low on high end brands of clothing, they do have a very large and fairly well organized selection that ranges from absolute garbage to recognizable brands in brand new condition with the original price tags still attached; it’s all about when and how frequently you go. I tend to find a couple of things every other time I go, and they also have a lot of other items that artists and adventurous crafters will enjoy perusing: mismatched china, gizmos, patterns, fabric, toys, miscellaneous crap, etc. I don’t have a lot of luck with their book selection, but the other items I run across tend to make up for it. If you are taking a day to thrift in St Petersburg, this should definitely be one of your stops.

Looking for a deal — - this is the place! I try to shop their ½ price sale days each month and score big time. Their children’s section of clothes has a huge variety to fit every budget and style. Sign up on their website or text messages to receive deal texts to use in store and money saving coupons. Their carts are select so take patience and grab a basket, but be prepared to browse. The toys, furniture and miscellaneous stuff is hit or miss, but I’ve always had luck with their clothes. Tip, use a small sharp knife to take the staples out from inside the clothes to prevent a larger hole. Once washed and dried, the hole should disappear as long as it’s not made larger.

Yuck. This place stinks. The clothes are all from Kmart and Wal-Mart, nothing is sized and the selection is just gross. Even their premium section is junk. I don’t know if it’s just the location or what, but everything in there was total crap.

Pros: Large selection of clothes at reasonable prices, Clean store, friendly staff. Cons: Anything decent for electronics are in a glass display up front and highly overpriced, clothes typically always are flawed(maybe just my experience), and their hats are pretty nasty and overpriced for their condition. All in all its a decent store if you are just looking for clothes

How does this place have 5 stars? No one here looked like they were alive. They had nothing if interest, more like garbage picked up off the side of the road. This place may be 5 stars, but it’s only 5 stars of disappointment.

This is, in my honest opinion, the best thrift store in the Tampa Bay area. Sunshine Thrift in St. Petersburg has a huge selection of goods ranging from clothing for every season, books, toys, housewares, etc. and the prices are unbelievably low — not to mention 50% off sales all the time!

There is something special about this second hand store… I leave my house saying«I really need a mellon baller» and I walk in, explore the utensils and there is my mellon baller. Another time, I really needed a costume for my daughter, walked in and there it was a few yards from the front door. The pricing is very reasonable. Can’t say I ever felt like something there was over priced. I usually walk away feeling like I got a good deal.

As far as a clothing thrift store, not many places get much better than this. The isles were nicely organized, the building was clean and the prices were well beyond reasonable. My husband kept looking at the price tags, wondering how they could possibly stay in business. For everything else — well, there are better places. There was virtually no furniture, and few other items besides clothes. That said, I would definitely return if I were in the mood for thrift shopping for clothes. I would be more inclined to return sooner if the clothes were organized by size.

Hardcore thrifter here, and I admit I’ve been torn about writing a review of this one because I feel intense, selfish love for it. It’s an amazing store — huge, organized, cheap, and freshly stocked at all times. I have spent hours happily plucking great finds. Today I loaded my loot onto the counter and was told if I sign up to receive texts, all of the clothing would be half off. What?! Vintage items, designer items, quirky stuff — half off the already low, low prices. I’m pretty sure I skipped out of the store. Happy hunting!

This is one of the best thrift stores in the area. They often offer 50% off sales, email coupons, and promotions. Make sure to sign up for their email list! I have walked away with a huge bag full of clothes for just $ 40. The clothes are clean and the store is huge. You can get lost wondering up and down the aisles. In addition to clothes in every shape, size, and fashion trend, they also offer books and housewares. The book selection is also pretty large, but they aren’t organized in any particular manner. You have to look through every title to find the gems. Of course, like every thrift store there is a lot of «junk» and some real hidden treasures. I like the St. Pete location better than the Tampa location.

Checked it out this past weekend with a friend of mine. Huge selection of both ladies and men’s clothes. We both bought several items — I bought mostly dresses. This place is not like the average donation type thrift store; the clothes are all beautiful and mostly not dated. Everything from eveningwear to trendy separates to casual is there! The outside doesn’t do it justice. This store is huge and fully packed! The prices were great plus they even have sales on certain ticket colors. If you haven’t been, I highly recommend Sunshine thrift store. It took us 20 minutes to get there — well worth the drive!

Picked me up a members only jacket from here and it was totally worth the 3 that I paid for it.
