Solid game store. Excellent service — they guy working when I was there, gave my son and I some excellent recommendations for some games. Wish the selection of board games was bigger, but hey, they have the essentials. Solid collectible card game location too

I am obsessed with Magic the Gathering and new to the area. I spend a lot of time and money on this hobby so I need a place that takes care of me and my obsessive needs. Yes you can get cards online, but I need a home base where I can talk shop and get product without spending an arm and a leg on shipping. This place is it!!! I’ve only been there a hand full of times but they take care of me as one of their own. Friendly staff and regulars. I am privileged make Serenity my «go to» place for FNM. I’ve tried 5 other comic stores and no others compare. The only downside is lack of stock variety. If I need singles or boosters outside of Standard I will need to stick to my online shop.

Its a shame I live in the middle of nowhere when it comes to gaming shops. My options are either drive up to the USF area, which has two within walking distance of each other, or drive down and over to St. Pete for Serenity Games. The truth is, it is worth the drive. Now the Gaming Academy is bigger and more polished, and Armada Games has that classic gaming store vibe. This place is somewhere in between. Unlike typical gaming stores, this place isn’t stacked to the brim with merchandise or tables making it impossible to walk around. The store is neatly organized — RPGs and Miniature supplements on a center rack; on one wall is a shelf for board games, which is next to a neat arcade unit; on the other side are a bunch of tables set up for different games. Finally you got the command center — the display cases with a variety of individual rares for different games and behind that the boxes for Magic: the Gather, and other card games. The staff was personable — already in a conversation with patrons when we walked in, but quickly switched to us when we approached with the look of purchasing something. I was lucky to get some packs of Gatecrash, the most recent Magic expansion to come out, but they were out of Fat Packs. I was really impressed and yet heartbroken at what happened next — the clerk suggested I go to Walmart, which would have Fat Packs. I prefer to support local, but clearly the staff wants their customers to be happy. Great place, if I lived in St. Pete, I would definitely be gaming here, but for now I’ll have to settle for the monthly weekend where I’m in St. Pete and looking to play. For those that are board game fans — they have a solid selection. Not everything under the sun, but copies of the popular games(Pandemic, Cataan, Game of Thrones), and those that you might want to grab just to try out.
