I ate there today for the first time and it was really good! The employee was so friendly and told me what the most popular empanadas were — Beef & Cheese and Spinach Artichoke. I will definitely be back to try more

I love empanadas and have experienced the real thing while visiting my son and daughter-in-law in Argentina. I tried the beef and the chicken and they were both OK. Nothing that will knock your socks off, but very edible and will serve to answer an empanada fix when you need that itch scratched.

First visit here, only had a beef & cheese. I am used to the Argentinian style of empanada, whoch are baked and very fresh tasting. These are not bad, but they’re all deep fried like a Jamaican meat pie. Sandwhiches looked good, but I can’t speak from personal experience. The staff was nice, place was clean, but not the type of empanada I was expecting. Worth a try, just not my style.

Excellent empanadas! I had the picadillo, which is the traditional empanada and it was excellent. I also had the guava and cheese — ammmazing! That is real chunks of guava(not just guava paste). It tasted so good that I couldn’t even wait to let it cool down a little and I kept burning my mouth due to my impatience to eat it up! The empanadas have a generous amount of filling(very important!) and they are not greasy which is clutch for a good empanada. The crust is crispy and delicious. My mother had those same two flavor empanadas and loved them. The price is very good, less than $ 3 an empanada, which is great compared to the ridiculousness of some other empanadas that are available at the Saturday market downtown(those are such a rip off). They also have fries and salads and other sides. We also tried the bean soup with rice – very flavorful, not too thick, not too thin, just great. I’ll be bringing my husband back for that. I also had the Cuban sandwich which I requested without salami because salami is not traditional Cuban. The bread was perfectly toasted with a true sandwich press, just like it’s meant to be. The bread took the pressing beautifully, with a layer of crispy outer crust and warmer softer internal portions. Just great. The ham and pork quality was great, just wish I’d gotten a little more pork. Nice big pickles and swiss. Definitely worth it. And I’m cuban, so I know ;) Lastly, my mother had the crab something(It was essentially a breaded ball of seasoned crab meat is the best way I can describe it, but the breading is not like your traditional breading so you really have to try it to understand what it is). My mother said it was great. The ONLY thing I didn’t like was the salad. I got the regular salad and it was essentially just a plate of iceburg lettuce with some olives in it. No tomatoes, no cucumbers, no nothing. Just lettuce and green olives. So skip the salad but enjoy all the rest of the wonderful hot food. One thing to keep in mind: These items come out HOT which means you can get them for take out and I am certain they will still be crispy hot and delicious when you get home, unlike most take out food which is always slightly cold by the time you get to eat it at home. I’ll definitely be doing some take home drive bys here. If the owners ever read these, please consider getting«maduros»(ripe yellow plantains, they are even sold in bags so they are easy to keep frozen until needed). Maduros would go tremendously with those delicious beef empanadas and rice and bean soup. mmmmmmmm Their sweetness is enjoyed by many latinos as a way to balance the savory of meat dishes. Just fantastic together. Lastly, the staff was very sweet and helpful, and were great at giving suggestions as we hungrily eyed the menu.

Was in town visiting a friend and we happen to go get our nails done and came across this cute place. It’s the perfect snack when your not starving but need a snack. My friends each had the beef, beef and cheese, and I had the chicken broccoli and cheese. Omg first be careful biting into it right away defintely can burn your mouth and the juices will drip after each bite have napkins ready. However once you taste it’s so good I could have easily eaten 2 or 3 of them. Would be nice to see turkey meat as a choice for those that don’t eat beef. Inexpensive yummy snack worth every penny.

My wife and I loved it. Great lunch spot. Try the Italian cheese empanadas, won’t be disappointed. The service was exceptional. They even gave my wife and I a free desert to share.

I’m back thanks to the owner Audrey who heard my concern and acted immediately to rectify the situation immediately! Thank you again! I am so glad she did because I love the empanadas here and was feeling a certain about giving them up! I got my favorite empanada, ground beef. It’s simple yet delicious! I also ordered the Italian sausage and cheese which is my second favorite! They’re even better with the Texas Pete hot sauce! I’m about to dig in right now! They almost never make it home!

Absolutely delicious! My fiancé is Puerto Rican and has a very standard for empanadas and he loved these! They are priced anywhere from $ 2.60-$ 3.00 each, which seems high at first, but they are stuffed with so meat and the perfect amount of cheese. Definitely try the spinach and artichoke, it was perfect. A new favorite place for us for sure. The ladies working were also very friendly and even chatted with me as they fried the empanadas.

This place wasn’t worth my time, the staff is old and slow and the food well, was rather bland and underwhelming, taste like fast food at best.

The beef and cheese empanada is really really good. Kinda greasy but it’s comfort food. Other flavors are not bad but beef and cheese is special good. Never busy so super short wait times.

Their empanadas have a good flavor. I believe for their price, they should be a little bigger in size; I have had bigger in Miami for a little cheaper. This is still a good place to come and enjoy a nice snack, and they also cater. Great customer service! But again, their empanadas are a bit undersized.

Good food, but really slow service. Not very accommodating for their promotions. Don’t run a groupon if you don’t want people to use it.

I’ve had their empanadas before, they’re great. I went with my sister and we both have groupons that we bought separately with the intention of going in to get some and leaving for a business meeting. The lady at the counter not only belittled us but told us that we cannot use our SEPERATE groupon. Her reasoning was that she has too many promotions and they can’t have people coming in to use a Groupon spending 93 cents for tax and then leaving. Um, how is that my problem? What’s to stop us from coming in tomorrow and spending the only 93 cents??? As a fellow food business owner she showed ignorance to what good customer service is. If the product and customer service is good I will come back for more, discount or not. Sometimes you have to bite the bullet on a few cents. We have done business with groupon before and she didn’t have to behave like this. Also, the entire time we were waiting she kept arguing with us. Totally unprofessional!

My boyfriend and I love coming here! A lot of variety in their empanadas and reasonably priced. The workers have always been really friendly too. Definitely a go-to place for a quick bite to eat.

I was impressed overall!!! Food was fantastic and friendly service! I ordered a combo meal one beef and cheese empanada and black bean soup and a drink. I added rice to the soup. The total was just under $ 9. The empanada was a decent size. The soup was a large portion, I got so full I couldn’t finish. I wanted to eat it all in one sitting it was so good! I only have one complaint, I got my order to go and they asked me if I wanted hot sauce. I said yes, when I got home I only had one little packet. I could of used two, I am a big hot sauce fan. They use Texas Pete hot sauce, it was good! I will for sure be back!!!

If you’re looking for delicious deep fried, meat filled pockets of food, this is the place. The interior is very new as it just opened. I ordered a beef & cheese and a BBQ chicken. Both came out with the meat filling at a temperature close to molten lava so I let it sit for a while. They don’t skimp on the filling either, as each bite seemed to cause the meat pouch to spew more tasty goodness out the sides and into my basket. They also have a frequent diner card. Definitely not the healthiest place to eat but most tasty foods aren’t usually up there nutrition wise. In the words of Arnold, «I’ll be back.»
