What an awesome experience! Charley is the first person I received a haircut from in my new hometown. He is super fun, kind, and quite the expert in customizing a style that is perfect for a client. I love my stylist in Chicago and Charley made me feel at ease with his personality and expertise. The great news for me is I now have two amazing stylists to choose from. When in St Pete I’m going to see Charley.
Charley also shares office space with Reneata and she is a true delight. In the future I would love to enjoy a facial with her.

I moved here from Wisconsin 5 months ago, and have been searching for the perfect hairdresser. After 2 terrible experiences in 2 different salons, I turned to Unilocal and stumbled across Lux Studio. It was the 5 star rating that got my attention. So I stopped scrolling and started reading the rave reviews about Charley and his amazing talent. I decided to give him a try, and I’m so glad I did! He nailed it! He gave me a very good consult first and asked lots of questions about me and my hair. I knew right then I was in the right place. I got perfect color and one of the best cuts I’ve ever had! Charley listens to you. He hears you. And best of all, he gives you exactly what you want! You’ll get one on one, personal attention from him too! He doesn’t double book and flip flop clients like most hairdressers do in this area. Loved my experience at Lux Salon!!!

I am really really particular about my hair, but if you are reading this review, you probably are too! I’ve been faking it as a blonde for years with other stylists that were just not quite listening to me or worse, completely damaging my hair. I found Charley over a year ago through a story posted on I love the ‘Burg and I’ve been a loyal customer ever since. First time he met me, he really listened and gave me probably one of the best hair cuts of my life. (I’m a Leo, so that is some high praise.)The color is awesome as well, but let’s face it, being a «blonde» in Florida is an uphill battle against fading and brassiness. Luckily, I’ve found that his prices are very competitive and fair so I can return to be fixed up on a regular basis without going broke, or worse having to drive to Tampa to my previous salon, after work, in rush hour traffic and paying a small fortune to have my roots redone. He has a great central location and his salon is quiet and lovely. The best recommendation? After an appointment, my husband always goes on about how he loves my hair and how great «this new guy» is. He now has someone in house for facials and she seems just as friendly and talented as Charley. Hope he makes the Burg his home for long time!

If you want a kick-​ass haircut and color PLUS a sweet charming man to do it, then look no further. I was at ease, and very satisfied with the results. He does exactly what you want, and with pizazz!

Finally. I have finally found a stylist that knows what he’s doing! For years I have been travelling back and forth from NY living in fear of going to my next salon disaster in the St. Petersburg area. I have been to reputable salons and still haven’t found someone that knows what they are doing and have not been at all pleased with what was done. I walked into Lux Studio with huge gray roots, two terrible streak experiences, hair too dark and too long. I was a mess! I never let my hair go so long without going to a solon. To tell you the truth, I was afraid of another disaster.
Charley is not only an absolute doll, with a spotless salon, he is also a brilliant stylist. He worked wonders on my hair. I never in a million years thought it could look so good after what had been done to it. He is an absolute genius with hair. The color, style and cut … OMG. I’m gorgeous!
