Kiteboarding Tampa Bay

I took my kiteboarding lesson with KTB over spring break several years ago. We found wind on Friday. Spent TEN HOURS with me in the water, and I found out afterward that IT WAS HIS BIRTHDAY! That’s the kind of customer focus that I truly appreciate.
The lesson was superb, stressing safety, self rescue, beach etiquette, sailing rules and water etiquette as well. Got me riding, in spite of my klutz behavior. I’ve been kiting for three years since then, I am CONSTANTLY referring back to the lessons I learned that day.
Since that time I’ve had my son take a lesson and I’ve watched several other people give lessons. Many times, I’ve seen things that KTB taught me that the other instructors missed. As part of the code, I make sure to mention this, and it’s always been appreciated.
Also since that lesson, I’ve come to know the owner a bit better through facebook, and referring folks to him that are headed down to the area. Steve is engaged in the community, with efforts in beach/​park preservation, and most importantly in local philanthropic efforts. I’m constantly forwarding tips and tricks from his FB postings to my local crew for review and response.
I’ve been kiting successfully since my lesson and having a GREAT TIME up here in Michigan! Can’t recommend KTB enough. Just do it, you’ll never look back!!!
And for heaven’s sake DO NOT kiteboard without your lesson. I’ve seen too many people that never got a lesson do too many LIFE THREATENING things.
