Iced mochas are delicious. Barista Dathan did a great job and was very nice to chat with. They serve Kahwa coffee and it’s yummy!

So, a mocha is a pretty normal thing to find at a coffee shop. I think if you can’t make one, you can’t really meet the basics of… being a coffee shop. They really don’t know how to make one. It was basically coffee sitting on top of unmelted chocolate chips. If it was some kind of «deconstructed mocha» it might’ve been fancy and interesting(and… I wouldn’t’ve ordered it), but I believe it’s just an outright failure. The servers were nice, but, I won’t be back.

We decided to try Common Grounds(attached to The Hollander’s Tap Room) after a bad experience at The Banyan Tree. As I gave bad review to the Banyan Tree, I thought it to only be fair that I tell you what a great experience we had at Common Grounds immediately after. The staff seemed very happy to be serving us, and was very friendly. Not just the barrista, but the other servers that were serving their brunch at the attached restaurant were exceptionally attentive and hospitable. The barrista seemed to take extra special care when making our coffee.(a Mocha for me and an Americano for my husband.) We were readily given the wifi password so we could hang out and work on our computers; and it ran very fast. We have often come here before for the Tap Room’s wonderful burgers and craft beer specials, so we knew we could expect a great experience. But I was blown away by the quality and attention to detail they put into this place. Common Grounds was no exception. Kudos!

Excellent service! Jeremy was delightful and the pastry case has plenty of delicious goodies. The carrot cake in particular was awesome.

(accidentally put this review on the previous establishment, didn’t know that it changed locations, putting the rightful review on Common Grounds) Coffee shop closed at 4:47 pm?! Lol, what a joke… The restaurant area was open but I saw 3 workers walk by and no one asked me what I wanted if it be coffee or a sit down. Maybe it’s because I was accompanied by my long board and not in the most presentable of clothing(I was wearing a shirt and plaid shorts). Either way, those 2 negatives of closed coffee area and no one assisting me puts them at a two star since I didn’t even get to eat or have coffee. It would have been a one star but at least I was greeted at the door. This happened a month ago, never got to put out the review, I’m in town for business, so expanding and taking care of a full spectrum network takes a lot of time… Maybe I’ll be back, but it’s hard to be in a rush for poor service.
