Oh my word. What an amazing cuisine. The meat pie was just tasty. I would recommend this place and will surely be a regular here.

I went in to pick up lunch after intending to try out Beirut Café for ages. I ordered the beef shawarma for myself and the gyro for my husband and took it to go. The shawarma is definitely the right pick. The flavor was great and full on. I hate that I waited so long to check out an obvious winner.

Fresh, homemade, awesomely delicious Lebanese food. The falafel in particular were some of the best I have ever eaten. However, most impressive of all was the baklava-cheesecake, which was simply unforgettable. Looking forward to many trips there in the future.

I’m from a city that has a long history of Lebanese in the community and grew up with a few families, so I was exposed to really fresh, home cooked Lebanese food, like hummus, mint tea, baklawa and lovely pita bread. This place was dead when we came in at about 7-ish on a Friday, which scared me a little. And it’s very quaint. Café is definitely an accurate description– but– the food is AMAZING. Everything tastes fresh, seasoned and prepared perfectly. The lamb kebabs were cooked perfectly, and we split a sampler with grape leaves, tabbouleh, felafel(which were HUGE), the kibbeh balls(again, big) and minouche. All very tasty. But the best part: we were mostly through dinner and was convinced we had to have the baklawa cheesecake. And we let it slide we were celebrating our anniversary. Our waiter dimmed the lights, put on some Motown/do-wop and brought our dessert out with a candle. Cute touch! There were a couple more patrons that came in, regulars guessing by how they greeted the staff. And I can see why someone would become a regular — this place is awesome– good food and great, warm, family vibe. We will most definitely be back!

The best lamb kabobs I have had. Everything fresh. Even impressed my 14 year old nephew who wanted a hamburger. He loved his wrap.

Every time I come here it gets better and better. You can really tell that they take pride in what they serve you because it shows in the quality and presentation of the food you receive. The meat pie I had open faced and cooked from scratch is nothing short of phenomenal! The falafel is probably the best I’ve ever had and love the fact I can get a sampler platter and get a bit of my favorites in one meal. The grape leaves(I get them with meat) never disappoint and the Kibbeh is always spot on. I’ve had other Lebanese/Mediterranean places in the bay area serve me some of the same dishes and not even come close to the quality you get here hence my up star and update. I hope they never change!

Absolutely delicious spinach pie. Handmade dough with fresh, not frozen spinach and piping hot from the oven. Lentil soup was delicious as was the cucumber salad. Family owned and friendly.

This place is SPECIAL. Pretty much anything you try here is going to be in a class above other local mediterranean restaurants. The falafel is pure witchcraft — amazingly crisp on the outside, light and fluffy on the inside. The meat and rice grape leaves are delicately perfumed. The za’atar bread is warm and very fresh. The baked goods all have that special extra dimension of flavor. Even the halvah is supernaturally light and aromatic. The feel of the café is small, homey, and relaxed. This is one of those best-kept secrets I’m giving away, but they really deserve the business. I hope they never change!

Amazing food, amazing family, they always treat us like friends. I recommend the falafel and the schwarma(sp). Also, completely random, but they do amazing French fries! Haha

I came to this place after several of my friends had recommended it. I went for lunch at around 1:30 and was greeted nicely. I ordered the falafel platter that had 3 large falafels with a small side of tahini and a good amount of babaganush and tabouleh. The falafel was fantastic! The babaganush was some of the best I’ve ever had if not the best. It was rich with fire roasted eggplant and garlic. Just the right amount of tahini and lemon. The tabouleh was nice and refreshing. The owners were very nice and even offered me some coffee at the end. Great experience! Will surely be back

Best food ever! Warm with spices, rich in flavor and oh so good! Service was excellent and I have at least half my meal going home with me! There is nothing quite like really good Lebanese food! Small and cozy restaurant. Even the bathroom was so pretty!

This is a little hole in the wall café, with plenty of seating, wonderful warmth and generous portions. I had the privlidge of eating here with fellow Unilocaler Tiffany H. today after we participated in a «Church», on her suggestion and the food was AMAZING. She had vegetarian fare, and I had their version of Meat pie. Everything was made to order and absolutely fresh. I have to admit that the only thing that was disappointing about it was that the CD/music player kept cutting out, so that the ambient music would leave us hanging. it’s hard when you get 2 dancers together and the music just –stops– le sigh. Excellent service, excellent food and by all means make sure you try the fresh made bakalava! Its so damn good!

The best falafel I have ever had in my life. Beirut Café, never change. I never would have thought that everyday living in Tampa Bay would be an adventure. There are so many local businesses and hidden places to find. I love the shopping plaza location, filled to the brim with awesome small businesses of all types. Window shopping galore. One of the many restaurants in the plaza is the humble Beirut Café, and they make all of their breads and pastries from scratch. Yes, never change your adorable family atmosphere. When I visit, I feel like I am being welcomed into the owner’s home. The mother even decorates the tables for the season; so lately there are Easter decorations on the table. This is not the type of restaurant that you are used to… it is more like the family put many tables into their dining room and invited you over. The waiter and cashier is the son, and he is very friendly and knowledgeable about every ingredient in each dish. He is also very proud of his family recipes, and rightfully so. I told him, «This is the best falafel I have ever had!» He was very pleased and yelled into the kitchen to his father to let him know the comment, then proceeded to tell me why it is the best. An amazing experience! Who needs meat when you can eat this light and airy falafel? Filled with just the right amount of spices, covered in a crisp and whispy crust. I tried the 5 Plate Sampler and the Meat Pie. Since they make their own dough, the crust is simply magnificent and crispy all the way through. I cannot wait to return and try the cheese pie.

I really enjoyed this place during my first visit. It is situation in a strip mall on Park Street and is truly a hidden gem. My fiancé and I got two wraps: he the Shawarma and I the falafel. We also got the hummus appetizer. The hummus was by far the best I’ve ever had. So flavorful and with a little kick. They also include a side of pita. My only complaint was that the pita wasn’t warm, but I know not everyone likes it warm. My falafel wrap was delicious. It was fresh and flavorful. The wrap itself also had a perfect blend of veggies. Again, the only complaint was that the pita wasn’t warm. I know this is a short review, but I plan on trying more menu items so I can expand on my review. Can’t wait to visit again!

Having been to Beirut, I can say that this is as close to the real thing that you will ever find. The food was unbelievable. For starters we had the falafel, hummus, and the cucumber salad. All were very authentic with the delicious taste of garlic that you find in Lebanese dishes. The main course meals were just as pleasing. If you find yourself in Pinellas Park… This is a must visit place. Please do not be deceived by the small strip mall, this place rocks!

Fantastic little find located in the same shopping center as Carmelita’s. One of my favorite physicians that I call on is Lebanese and I thought bringing him food from here would be a nice touch. It’s a small little spot run by a husband wife combo. The husband was so sweet and when he knew who I was taking the food to, he whipped up something extra special. My gosh! It was delish. There was kibbi, the fluffier falafel, stuffed grape leaves and a bread that looked like naan but topped with thyme. His display of Lebanese sweets was amazing too and I look forward to visiting again soon.
