Hidden gem is correct! Breakfast was awesome. I had a ny bagel with egg, cheese and fresh spinach. My girlfriend had the breakfast burrito. We found both extremely delicious! The customer service was great, we even got a hug from April. I highly recommend hard to find this kind of comfort in St Pete.

Unfortunately the café recently closed. Look for it to resurface somewhere nearby, hopefully soon.

Great food & a fun place!!! Enjoyed my entire experience the 1sdt time there and each one since!!! Only wish they carried REAL beers instead of the insipid American brewskis that they do sell!!!

Get your GPS ready because you will need an up todate map to find this secret restaurant. It is really just a few blocks from downtown St. Pete but print a map. It is hidden behind some small non-descript small businesses. Look for a sign indicating The Harborage Marina at Bayboro. This little gem is between the non-descript buildings and the marina. There is also a sign with Bayboro Café but I missed it the first time. When you finally find it you might think it doesn’t look like much, some tables with umbrella and a closed in area with tables and mismatched chairs. The restaurant also has an inside with real tables etc. And it is a real mom and pop operation, you can’t miss April(the waitress) and Jeremy(the cook). Why go to all this trouble to find this place? Two things: First, The Atmosphere. I chose to sit out doors under the«shed» closed on two sides. You feel you are in a good friends back yard. And I love the fact that it is dog friendly. The table next to me had a Springer Spaniel. Very quiet until a stunning Doberman pranced by with its family going to their yacht at the marina. If I was a dog I would have made comment about this show dog as well. The waitress(I did not know was the owner) was very warm and friendly. I really felt at home. Second, The Food. Because they are in front of the marina they get the freshest fish in fact most of their seafood comes from local fishermen. I had the Coconut Shrimp as an appetizer. Outstanding, Fresh shrimp cooked to perfection. Crisp but done to a T. I next had a Hamburger(I am a Hamburger nut). What convinced me I asked if the burger was a full 8 ounces. April laughed and said their burgers are a full 9 ounces. They always give more. The burger was outstanding, I was about half way finished when a bunch of high schools looking kids began to set up their guitars, keyboard and sound system. Did not look like my type of music, but I was almost finished so I thought I would be gone before they got started. But they started their session quickly. They were great, a good music mix. I stayed for their whole set. I would have stayed longer but I had an appointment. The nightly entertainment is a bonus. If you are looking for a relaxing good time with great food Bayboro Café is a winner. It is worth figuring out how to find it. I’ll probably see you there.

The Bayboro has good scrambles, but be aware if you’re lactose intolerant that nearly everything has cheese in it. They also don’t serve decaf coffee. However, the toast is amazing — highly recommend the rye. It was the most amazing toast I’ve ever eaten, and I generally avoid all bread.

I’m unsure of the«complaint» below that K.S. had for this restaurant… The issue was«boxed food»(e.g. brownie mix, Hershey’s chocolate, pancake mix). Having been here NUMEROUS times! Bayboro states the brownie is HOUSE made on the sign in front of them on the shelf… Baked there, specifically from THAT brownie mix. They aren’t trying to pass it off as theirs, its just a damn good brownie! Seriously, this person complained about hershey’s syrup for chocolate milk… really? What are they SUPPOSED to use? And the pancake mix? Come on now. This is nitpicking. She stated she could make better food at home… my question to her is… what do YOU make YOUR chocolate milk from? Local ground cocoa beans & fresh Cane sugar? What do you use to make pancakes? This restaurant has really REALLY good, AFFORDABLE food!!!(No comment about what they ate.) Specifically, amazing sushi grade Ahi Tuna, FRESH ground burger(not frozen, not pre Pattied) If you are going to complain, at least make it a valid complaint. The public deserves real complaints and real raves when we look for places to go.

I wish I could give zero stars! I’m shocked at the reviews for this place. I don’t think you realize that these foods are not homemade or freshly prepared. This restaurant doesn’t even hide the fact that they serve processed foods from a box(e.g. hershey’s chocolate syrup for chocolate milk, krusteaz pancake batter for pancakes, ghirardelli brownie batter for their«homemade» brownies, etc.). These boxes are sitting behind the counter and above the cupboards for plain eyes to see. Gross! If I’m going out for brunch then I want to eat something that’s high quality and tasty. I make much better food than this! What’s ironic is that it’s adjacent to a yacht club. You would think that people who own a yacht would know what good food is. Maybe this is catering to the student population since USF St Pete is nearby. Do not go here for breakfast! I wish I saw these boxed foods before I ordered and paid for my food. I suggest Banyan Coffee and Tea or Trip’s diner in St Pete. Also, Steam on St Pete Beach has very good crepes and omelets.

I agree with some other Unilocalers that this place is a hidden gem. It is not glitz and glam, but it is good food priced right. I’ve heard a few co-workers talk about it and finally decided to give it a try today for a late lunch. To my surprise they have $ 2 Bud Lite drafts on Sunday afternoons — that made me happy before I even walked in the door. The menu has a good listing of sandwiches, burgers, wraps, bar type apps. .. mostly comfort food. You order at the counter and then they serve you at your table. It is kind of small inside, but they have a large outdoor area. You are not right on the water, but you are at Harborage Marina and can see the boats bobbing and after you eat you can walk the docks. They have live music on Fri /Sat nights and the gal told us they have a lot of regulars from college kids to older folks and lots of boaters. My Mom had the grilled bacon and two cheese for $ 5.99 and got her choice of bread, she said it was YUMMO! I had a chicken breast sammie and for $ 6.99 it was as good as any other I’ve had. They offer a big breakfast menu on Fri, Sat and Sun. They also just started a yoga class on Fri mornings at 7:30a(I think??) that ends at 8:45am and their hope is you will stay for breakfast. Check it out sometime. .. you’ll be glad you did.

My husband and I went here tonight on a Groupon. We each had a burger. He had the super spicy one(I don’t remember exactly what it was called) and I had the fried egg burger. They were both very good.(However, my husband asked for medium-rare and I asked for mine medium, and they both came out well-done. Not a huge deal, but noteworthy.) Small, casual, inexpensive and right on the water — which was nice. We would come here again.

Four stars for nostalgia. When I was a young gal just making my way through college, this is where I spent my often meager allowance. The cubans were so delicious and the fries were crispy. Fast forward seven years, and I’m back here with my college friends. The food tastes exactly the same

I have been there twice and have two very good meals. This is a small place, extremely casual, yet surprisingly good. The first visit was a Friday night after boating. We all had excellent burgers and cold Stella on draft. Also went for breakfast — a great breakfast burrito and a Mexican breakfast bowl — home fries, chorizo, eggs, cheese. We were both very pleased. They just have an attention to detail that makes it a couple of steps above your average diner. We live in downtown St. Pete and are not always thrilled with our dining options. This is a hidden gem and we cannot wait to go back!

4.5 stars!!! I was lucky to stumble upon this tucked away little place for a late brunch the other day. I was on my way to the Dali museum when my GPS took me to the wrong location(this turned out to be a good thing). I saw a small sign, «wireless internet, breakfast, lunch, and dinner,» with a groovy symbol painted below. I had time to check it out; I was hungry and curious. Usually I try to be «localvore-like.» It’s hard to steer clear of the chain restaurants in this part of FLA, and Bayboro offered something off the beaten path, with a great view overlooking the dock and water. When I walked in, I was greeted by a friendly young woman, possibly someone who currently attended the college that was next door. It was past the breakfast hour listed on the menu, but the cook in this open kitchen said he didn’t mind making me something off of the breakfast menu when he overheard me say to the lady that I was interested in breakfast. I ordered pretty simple, two scrambled eggs, bacon, and whole wheat toast with jam. Delicious. The bacon was perfectly served crispy and dry, the way I like. My eggs were not over scrambled. The toast was on magnificent bread, cut thick with chunky strawberry jam. I had a great time talking with the folks who worked there. If I was staying in town longer, I’d easily find my way back to this place for a beer later in the day. I imagine this café is a fun hang for a lazy afternoon. So if you are looking for something that’s easy, where you can feel comfortable away from home, get some work done using wi-fi, and strike up conversation with a new neighbor, then check out this place. Good times. Thanks again! p. s. The In-Board/Out-Board bathroom reference is some funny boat talk.

Visited to try the Guest Chef George’s paella special 3-course dinner. Option of artful caprese salad or gazpacho to start, then vegetarian or seafood paella, heavy with scallops, shrimp & mussels, finishing with gooey chocolate caramel and chocolate-pecan pie for 2 to share. Very excellent with lots of customers coming for the special, even in rain. Regrettably the rain eliminated outdoor tables and the acoustic band that was setting up. In addition to the special, the menu offered some fine apps & entrees, and an impressive wine list for a small pub. May return to try the gouda-covered steak or any of the burgers that offer variations of cowboy/BBQ, ahi, crab cake, portobello or «wicked hot» stuffed with jalpenos, doused with srirachaha sauce and wasabi chips — -also lots of beer.

Yes, they have burgers, but with a twist — uniques flavors: the Cowboy with BBQ sauce, the Lirpa with spinach on whirl bread are two of my favorites, but there are many more. The burgers, as well as everything else on the menu and daily specials, are teaming with unique flavors. The young owners have turned a casual so-so café into a hot spot on the water for local music and great food — late breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Bayboro Café is probably one of the best neighborhood places in St. Pete and today it got even better when they started serving their already awesome Cuban with home-roasted pork. Seriously this place is great for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It is also a great place to listen to up and coming live music(for free). Kids and dogs are welcome. Highly recommend the Cuban, Burgers, Blacked Triggerfish(have them add avocado), and cheap but albeit good beer. They also have a special or two everyday that is usually totally homemade. Did I mention they have awesome outside seating next to the marina. Writing this I think I am going back right now…

Bayboro Café is a tiny little café at the Harborage Marina, right next to the old Dali Museum(now a USF building). It is primarily geared towards boaters that dock at the marina, but the place gets packed with locals, especially on weekends, and for good reason. Besides the live music and open mic night, the food is actually quite good. I have a healthy respect for everything fried, and some people can ruin food by not frying it correctly. These guys know how to use a deep fryer. The calamari was nice and crisp, and they have an appetizer called Cheese Shotz. Fried cheese and jalapeño balls. Yummmm. The Cuban sandwich was not what I would call authentic, but it was a well made sandwich in its own right. They have a very wide selection of burgers, one of which is made with jalapeño and siracha mixed into the beef, topped with wasabi coleslaw. Wow. They open at 9am and have a small but decent breakfast menu. The pancakes are huge! I had a steak and cheese sandwich on Cuban bread. I liked it a lot. It was a bit smaller than a lunch sized sandwich but perfect for breakfast. If you are in the downtown St. Pete area, do yourself a favor and try these guys out. The place is small, informal, but the food is good. You may find this hidden gem worth coming back to again and again. I’m a fan!
