This is a good neighborhood bar. You see a lot of familiar faces. The bartenders are efficient. The prices are fair. What more can u ask for in a bar?

It’s a casual, cozy bar. It has free pool and a pay per song juxebox. The owner, Matt, is really friendly. I look forward to returning.

May be the fault of smoothie place next door since this place doesn’t serve food, but the entire place smells like a broken grease trap. Been in the industry for 20+ yrs and there is only one smell like that. Place is uninhabitable. Mentioned it to the bartender and she said she couldn’t smell it. Apparently she has worked there too long(like being blind to the fact that your house reeks of cat). This is beyond though, didn’t know people could get used to anything including the smell of open sewage. May or may not be their fault, but is their responsibility to deal with and fix it. Couldn’t even bring myself to order a drink. Ouch!

Went to this bar Saturday night with a bunch of friends who were visiting from out of state. We were visiting our friends who live just a few blocks away from this bar. The bartender treated us in a way we have never experienced before, and it was not in a good way! first we wanted a key lime pie martini, the bartender told us he did not have the proper ingredients to make it, so we kindly asked if he could please make us a good martini of his choice. He made us a coconut martini and when he handed it to us he said«what a waste of my time» my friend and I looked at each other wondering why he would say that. Regardless, we ignored him! and BTW the martini he made was gross, but we still drank most of it and then switched to beer. We stayed there for about an hour, when we asked for our bill it was 110 dollars, we asked if we could review our bill because we had only ordered 3 martinis and a few beers. Our bill had drinks we had not ordered but since we did not want to argue with an already pissed off bartender, we paid the 110 dollars and left him a 10% tip. We walked outside to wait for our taxi to come pick us up, next thing we know the bartender comes out and tells us «it was nice taking care of you, NOT! I cannot believe that you people only gave me a 10% tip!» We all looked at each other astonished by his comments and his attitude toward us. A few of us walked back into the bar to ask him what his problem was, one of our friends even offered to add $ 20 more to his tip(which I did not agree on because a tip is not a requirement, a tip is a gratuity given for exceptional service which we did not receive) The bartender proceeded to kick all of us out of the bar screaming obscenities and racial slurs. As we were outside the bar waiting for our taxi, a ton of people who were clearly locals at this bar came out, I thought we were going to get lynched! The bartender kept screaming«get the f@ck out of my bar» and his friends tagged along screaming more racial slurs… it was the scariest experience of our lives! This man who is the bartender in this place is completely incompetent and should not be in customer service. It is a shame that management does nothing about this issue, we did nothing wrong, we paid our bill, we were decent customers, we were respectful to other clients and we were humiliated and almost lynched by a bunch of ignorant people who have no respect for others.

I am getting a message saying that the owner or manager of back bar says that I’m lying and that I wasn’t a customer. I didn’t pay for the bill since it was my birthday and my friends paid for my drinks but I’m more than happy to prove you that I was there and if you want to manager I can go meet you at the bar where I’m sure your bartenders will recognize me.

Been here about 20 times before and had a fine time until recently. I went there and ordered a Victory Golden Monkey 16 oz beer to be served only a 8.45 oz beer. I’m a fan of the Golden Monkey and got it on all of my prior visits… but as soon as I realized they were serving what was advertised as 16 oz beer in a Leffe chalice that is actually 8.45 oz and then simply asked the bartender what’s up… I instantly got the runaround and was made to feel like a jerk for asking a 100% fact based question. So, on all my prior visits I ordered a Golden Monkey beer for $ 6.75 assuming I would get 16 oz as is advertised on their menu/chalkboard, so that’s 20 or so times I paid $ 6.75 for what was clearly advertised as a 16 oz beer, but only had gotten 8.45 oz. Do the math… it’s not pretty. As soon as I brought that up to a few bartenders on subsequent visits, they told me their boss tells them they are to serve Golden Monkey in the 8.45 oz chalice. Ok, I get it… you are just doing what you are told, but then they tell me it’s because Golden Monkey is a 10% alcohol beer which is a pretty lame fact to point out when there’s a full liquor bar behind right behind them from which they will have no problem serving me as many shots as I order. I’ve been told on about 4 occasions that their boss says he will change the chalkboard to reflect the actual serving size of this beer, and it hasn’t happened yet. The last bartender did point out to me that it is listed as a 10 oz beer on their printed menu, which is fine but still 1.55 oz under what you actually get… not to mention Golden Monkey is a 9.5% alcohol beer, not 10%… no big deal. All I’m asking is that this false advertising be corrected to reflect what is actually being served since I’ve paid about about 75 bucks for beer I was never given over all my visits. Then, the last time I was there I was playing some tunes on the jukebox and several of them were never played. As soon I politely asked the bartender about it, I got hit with some major jersey shore-ish attitude and was not even given a chance to put in a word. All I wanted was to simply show them I paid money for songs that never got played. The bartender told me they have no control over the jukebox, which I understand, but they were completely combative to my inquiry. Then, what I assumed to be a regular at the bar started arguing with me about asking said bartender after sticking their chatty Cathy nose into something that was none of their business. I am a very patient/soft spoken person and was completely attacked for asking why I did not get what I paid for. After that, I simply threw up my hands and walked out. I plan on never stepping foot in here again. Every time I go to this place, I get half of what I pay for… and if I ask about it, I get made to feel like a scumbag despite being nice about it and 100% right. I’m done. I never thought wanting to have a few beers at a place nearby where I live would turn into being treated like a piece of dirt. I seriously felt threatened and will never go back to this shoddy place ever again.

Awesome place for mid-30s career individuals looking for a nice happy hour hangout. Plenty of TVs to watch the game and the owner Matt is a nice guy. Drinks are good and they specialize in Martinis. Nice hidden gem in Carillon Park.

Cool bar with 2 slightly different sides. The sports bar has the free pool table and free darts with a few tvs. The Lounge has a quieter feel with a cool area upstairs for the musician. No food but you can order from Courtside and they’ll bring it over to you. The bartenders are OK but tend to stand around more than be interactive. One of them is very standoffish. It’s the only bar in Carillon so it won’t close down. I would give it a 3 stars but it’s a clean place, looks nice.

This is a great, neighborhood bar. The people here are always friendly. The beer selection is very good, and they make great mixed drinks too. The place is small and can get loud, but it is a great spot to grab a drink during happy hour.

This bar has the warm vibe and feel of New England. It’s good for a beer or wine after work and is generally quite laid back. I do not recommend the mixed drinks unless Matt is working. He is the only one that knows how to make a mixed beverage. The others make horrible drinks that are so bad you’ll feel sick to your stomach. If anyone but Matt is working, stick with beer or wine, which is more than fine. The bar atmosphere is very likable.

I went here for the first time on Tuesday during happy hour. The service was amazing and the bartender was friendly and hilarious. It’s all in doors and it has a cheers like vibe to it. Overall, I had a great time and would go back any day of the week!!!

This place is has an extremely weird vibe. They have big TVs everywhere and a pool table as if in a sports bar but then the décor is classy as of in a martini bar and then they were blasting metal music. They have a lot of craft beers and high priced drinks. This bar had a very strange atmosphere and I think they need to find an identity and not try to be three different bars. The service was good for us and The drinks weren’t weak. We went in on a Friday night to get some drinks before heading home around midnight and the place was relatively empty. I won’t be going back I think there are better bars in the area.

This place is great. I would say it is an enigma for the carillon/feather sound area. The crowd is mainly regulars that are friendly and fun. They have multiple TVs for sports, pool, golf and corn toss. They have live music some nights and cookouts on the weekend. The atmosphere here is what you would expect from a great hole in the wall bar. From the owner down to every bartender the people care about the experience you have here. They do not typically serve food but the restaurant next door(courtside) will run food over to you.

This is my regular hangout spot. I’ve gotten to know the regulars and the bartenders, whom treat me like part of the family. It’s great to have a bar like this so close to home.

Great craft brew selection, which I always appreciate. Good music, though I’ve never seen a live band here, just a digital jukebox selection. I typically come after a hard day at work(I work primetime, so I get off at 1AM). Service is more limited because there is less staff, but the bartenders they do have are very nice. Ill continue to come here after work on the weekends.

I’ve been here several times since it’s very close to where I work and I’ve experienced exactly the same things each time. The service was extremely slow and the bartenders were flat-out rude when they finally got around to acknowledging our presence even though there were only a few other customers.

Karen Lawler, Manager. .. treated us like celebrities on Friday March 4th. This little hidden gem is next to the Courtside Grille with pool tables, dart boards. Above all, the staff is just amazing. This place doesn’t have a web presence and we all need to spread the word and help this hidden gem grow. Say hi to Karen from Mark and have a cocktail for me.
