Stay away! This place is not good. The food is not good, the waiters are not friendly, and the place is old and small. I would give it negative stars if that existed. I ordered a pescarte Quattro and the«wine sauce» was super watery. The mussels didn’t even taste like they were cleaned, and the pasta tasted like nothing. Such a disappointment

Great pizza, atmosphere. It’s the romantic, tucked away Italian restaurant with Sinatra in the background. Love it.

We ate here 5 years ago and really enjoyed it so we came back. However, this time, they missed the mark. Maybe it was just an off night or their quality has declined. If you stick with the traditional Italian dishes, you’ll be fine… don’t stray ie. Mussels… lastly, the service was slow and they added in their own gratuity.

Everything here was very fresh and delicious! It was just as Italian is supposed to be: good, simple ingredients blended beautifully. We had the shrimp scargo, probably my favorite dish… Garlic butter knots, and a salad. The service was great and friendly. We’ll probably go back before we leave!

Nice place, friendly people but deserts were frozen in the middle and calamari portion very small.

Great service. Good food. Fresh & flavorful. I just wish I lived closer to try more of the menu. I’ll be back if I’m ever close. I had the chicken parm. Very good. Homemade.

Hearty, fresh and relatively authentic Italian fare. My group tried almost everything and it’s really a very good value for your money. You won’t be disappointed.

We loved the atmosphere here. It is a quaint place in a beautiful area. We took our daughter who is 17 months and had a pizza. The food was great. Make sure you allow time to walk around the area.

Had the mussels appetizer, and they were the largest mussels I’ve ever seen. Great sauce with them, too. We had to order more bread to soak it up. When we got more bread, it came with a side of poached garlic to spread as well. Fantastic! Had the veal saltimbocca and the penne w/alfredo and sausage. Both were delicious. Service was friendly, and I look forward to my next visit.

The food was bland, no flavor to the marinara. The pasta with broccoli had too much liquid and not enough garlic, such a simple dish to mess up. The best thing was the roasted garlic that was served with the bread(which tasted like pizza dough)

Not bad — we had a lovely meal, but my carbonara was 50% sauce. I am slightly biased because of living in New York City, but I took that into consideration when rating this place. Having said that, go and enjoy it — great location, quiet atmosphere, etc. then take a nice evening walk on the beach, which is steps away. You won’t get that in Manhattan!

Love this place. Everything I’ve had here has been fantastic. Chicken Parm, Pizza, Stromboli, sandwiches. They don’t open til 4pm and close around 9:30 so your window to eat here is small but worth it. Also closed on Monday’s. They could offer some service with a smile a little more often but I’ve had less friendlier service elsewhere. By the way the portions are ample — usually enough to shave some for the next days lunch!

Very close since I am lucky to live in Passagrille! And the gourmet pizzas are yummy!

Solid vegetarian choices, dishes with heavy cream sauces and light olive oil sauces, most entrees under $ 15. I was pleasantly surprised. Will go back.

Tiny Italian restaurant with amazing food… intimate seating, beautiful décor. What my husband and I liked most was that the portions were of normal size, not platters of pasta with half of it coming home with us. Not that we mind leftovers, but we didn’t have the means to refrigerate them at our hotel. we split a mozzarella caprese appetizer… I swear the tomatoes must have been grown behind the restaurant, they were so fresh. No skimping on the olive oil, either. I had shrimp and scallops over pasta tossed in a garlic and fresh tomato sauce. He had veal scaloppini over penne. Both were flavorful and memorable. If we return to Pass-a-grille in the future, Su Ottavo is our first stop for food.

Although there are places aplenty for pizza and Italian fare on the beaches we can’t seem to get anywhere but Su Ottavo’s. This isn’t your typical comfort food eatery. This is nothing but fresh ingredients delicately done at a comfort food price. Everything we have enjoyed is the same. Light, fresh and delicious. The appetizer soup and plate of lovely roasted garlic along with bread seems like a lot but not here. Think light and fresh. Someday we’ll try somewhere else … I think!

Ordered Pizza from this new place on historic 8th Ave. in Pass A Grille as we had a menu that was dropped off at our condo, and we had heard good things about it. The menu said free delivery, but she said nope, we don’t deliver. So I ordered the 214″ pizzas, one with white sauce and 4 toppings and the other with 3 toppings. The menu also said we got a free appetizer with 2 entrée’s, but the not nice voice said. No, there are no specials. Not even a sorry… Sent the guys to pick them up in 20 minutes which I thought was nice a fast, but the men came back not too happy after paying over $ 35 for 2 pizzas. OK… I bet they will be REALLY good. But only one really had any flavor. The white sauce pizza was virtually tasteless, and the sauce was thick and only in the center with about a 2 inch margin all around with no sauce OR toppings. Such a disappointment, and not up to usual quality of Pass A Grille, Fl.

Awesome new Italian Restaurant on 8th Ave in Pass-A-Grille Beach. Their homemade soups are excellent — Cream of Mushroom, Minestrone, Seafood Chowder, they are different almost every day. They have the best Wedge Salad with homemade Blue Cheese Dressing, Red Onions, Bacon Crumbles, Chopped Tomato’s, Fresh Ground Pepper, it’s to die for! The Crab cakes and Pastas are excellent and their Italian Subs are the most like up north that I’ve had in FL, they use Amaroso’s(sp?) bread and it’s delicious, not like the hard Ciabattta bread you get everywhere else; that ruins a sub if you ask me. Did I mention the pizza — home made sauce and thin crust — really good. I haven’t had one thing that I didn’t like yet. One other thing I love is the Poached Garlic they serve with their bread, it’s sweet/savory with no bitterness and it spreads like butter, Delicious! They also have some good wines and and a couple of flat screen TVs for watching sports. The owners are hands on and really great, it’s a fun place to eat and hang out.
