I love their pumpkin spice latte!!! Not overly sweet like other places and a nice deep rich pumpkin flavor. Their bakery is not worth the calories though. I ordered the raspberry peach scone it was so dry and no flavor.

Nice, quiet atmosphere. Very friendly staff; food and coffee is a little average, but the atmosphere and price make up for it. Also very fast service! I will continue coming here in the mornings throughout my stay in St. Paul.

I had never seen hard boiled eggs in a Dunn’s or anywhere else for that matter except on a bar in a jar in a few small Wisconsin towns. Seems like a better choice and for fifty cents a piece what the hey. This location has the usual Dunn’s pastry choices, not a lot but enough to add a pound a day if you are a regular. I asked for a Medium Roast, breaking my Dark Roast routine only to be told,“Huh, oh ah we don’t have it only Light or Dark”. So I had a dark with a nicely moist and still fresh Energy Bar. If you need a quick egg break after dining at the many great spots in this neighborhood, or if the Wild laid an egg and you need some caffeine to boost your spirits pop in, there are some window side tables and the outside people watch can be fascinating.

I like this Dunn Bros. They have a parking lot and its usually pretty quiet. There are not a lot of tables, however so its not the best place to hang out and work. Its a great place to meet an old friend, an online date, or just sit and read. The Barristas are alright, not super friendly but if you want friendly, go to Starbucks or Caribou. I have yet to meet an overly friendly Dunn Bros Barissta. Its easier to get to than the one downtown/downtown so alof of people forget this one even exists downtown.

Terrific place to grab an early coffee and oatmeal. Staying at the Holiday Inn downtown St. Paul and found this early morning on my walk. Great coffee, oatmeal, servive and atmosphere.

I love Dunn Bros, especially the south Minneapolis location, but this was a pretty bad experience. After waiting for more than 5 minutes while the barista cleaned up(an hour before closing) without her even bothering to speak to her only waiting customer other than telling me she’d be with me later, I had to leave because people were waiting for me. So I guess I’ll never know if the coffee and food is just as awesome there as it is back in Minnie…

Hasn’t had the best customer service here and that’s becoming consistent to where I won’t be spending money here anymore. This is turning into a place where I feel like I’m not wanted here. I feel like I get those why is here or I wish he would leave looks.

Great dark roast coffees. A wonderful place to sit and enjoy the surroundings with a real cup of joe.

Although the coffee is perfectly fine the service is, well, meh. The two girls behind the counter are always less than friendly when picking up my weekly pound of french roast. As a person who has spent years in the customer service industry, a basic thank you and have a nice day goes a long way.

One star is for the crappy sandwiches. The last time I was here, I ordered a tuna melt which was actually a melt and pretty good for the price. This time I was very disappointed. The panini was little more than toasted bread. Certainly not the warm, melty goodness a panini is supposed to be. I had the egg, ham. potato and cheese with carmelized onion breakfast panini. It came out luke warm at best. When I asked for it to be warmed up to hot, her response. «Those don’t stay very warm unfortunately. I can re-make it or make something else. » I declined both offerings and got a croissant. The bakery seems to still have decent thing. Don’t bother with the paninis. They are little more than toasted bread. I think they’d be better off with just a toaster. At least I know it would be warm.

I want to give special thanks to the girl who roasts the beans. She has meticulous standards, and it shows in the results. I buy whole beans here for use in my home espresso machine, so quality fresh beans are critical. I always get a bright smile and those«little extras» that make a customer feel special: she let’s me know what time the beans were roasted, gives me the better of two batches, explains the roasting process, or how a batch turned out. This is top notch customer service. Thank you!

Totally fine coffee experience when I had an out of the blue desperate and crazed need for an iced mocha on the way to work. I don’t usually get coffee before work so it was an odd craving, but one that this Dunn Bros location satisfied for me. Staff were not amazingly friendly, but were not rude either. They were quite fast, and the resulting iced mocha was just what I was hoping for. I’ll go back if I am struck with a similar need again, it was a pleasant overall experience. (Plus, beer used to be brewed in the space where the counter is if I can remember correctly. That’s, like, huge positive karma in my book.)

Dont go there !! As much as I hate to say it there is another coffee shoppe around the corner. You can get better/friendly service there. The biatches that work at Dunn Bro. dont look you in the eye. when you question something they snap at you. She wasnt about to give me any promoted discount for bringing in my own coffee mug… It was 4 oz over«their limit«I guess. And then she didnt fill it… so she is still charging me for 4oz more than what they«serve » and only poured a 20oz brew… Go to Starbucks. pay more. but worth not having to deal with the biaches. . at Dunn Bros…

This was my neighborhood coffee shop when I lived across the street, and I still stop in here on Fridays on my way to work after dropping my boy at school. Dunn Brothers brews rocket fuel for coffee, and unlike the previous reviewer, I’ve never had a problem with lackluster service. Coffee shops are becoming this generation’s equivalent to the video rental stores of my youth – they are/were everywhere. Kopplins serves the best coffee in town, hands down. If you’re not at Kopplins, the coffee is almost secondary and so what becomes important are things like clean, comfortable surroundings and the ability to get and enjoy your coffee with a minimum of hassle. This place is not Kopplins, but it meets every other requirement in spades.

Walked in for some refreshments while shopping in the area. The girl behind the counter couldn’t have been more un-enthused and neither looked me in the eye or talked to me which was bizarre. I ordered a lemonade and an Italian soda with orange and cream. I got an Italian soda with hardly any orange and no cream, i went up to the counter and they fixed it. but it still didn’t taste like orange anything, and my boyfriend’s lemonade was horrific! how in the hell do you screw up lemonade. it was like someone chewed on a lemon and then spit in water and served it up with ice and a straw. Not going back.
