Stayed the night The Rolling Stones were in town. The hotel ran an hourly shuttle to TCF Bank Stadium that I was surprised to discover. There was some carpet being installed in the West wing, our room was spacious with a vaulted ceiling(230), we had a fridge. It’s an old style motor lodge with a connected bar/restaurant maybe a block away from the green line to downtown. The room was clean and odor free although the hallways were hot. Only one ice machine was operating so there was a line. The pool and hot tub looked to be decent sized and clean. The area is safe feeling and we had no regrets or complaints about our stay.

Not so nice service. And at night, the outside of the hotel could be scary. Watch out for safety and rubbery. Inside of the hotel room is just normal nothing unexpected.

I stayed at this hotel for nine nights for business. The nine longest nights of my life. There’s so much wrong with this hotel, I could go on and on, filling eight incredibly detailed paragraphs with graphic images that could turn stomachs. Instead, let me summarize in a handful of poignant words: Dirty carpet, mystery wall stains, mummified bugs in corners, thread-bare towels, sheets with washed-in blood stains, feces-smelling halls, smoke-filled non-smoking rooms, moldy bathroom floor, cracked bathroom fixtures, paper-thin walls, etc., etc., etc. Run, run away, and spend fifteen bucks more per night for a better experience someplace else.
