This thrift store is housed in an old school and probably a bit of a trek from where you live, but if you’re in need of inexpensive items(the furniture seemed especially inexpensive and they had lots of clothing and shoes) or if you enjoy legit, non-hipsterfied thrifting, this place is absolutely wonderful. It seems to serve a real need in the community, too — while we were there fresh vegetables(and by fresh I mean beautiful onions pulled from the ground probably half an hour prior absolutely massive home-garden zucchini) and bread were available for free, pretty much cementing it as one of the nicest thrift stores I’ve ever been to. They also had a great selection of craft supplies(knitting needles, fabric, etc.) and tons of inexpensive frames. Everything was very clean and organized, and it wasn’t tiny, either. Maybe half to a third the size of an average Goodwill with tons of variety. Very highly recommended. It’s a modest operation, so I’d suggest paying in cash with small bills if you want to be extra nice.

Aw, this place holds a special place in my heart! Waay back when I was young and broke and newlywed with an unemployed husband, this place kept my kitchen stocked with utensils and cookware, my pajama wardrobe updated, and fulfilled the occasional Christmas gift(size 12 Heelys for my little brother for $ 8?!) There is an amazing variety of household and kitchen stuff. They often have a large variety of furniture ranging from the strange and ugly to just the minorly ugly that needs some cosmetic repair. The clothing is… best suited to children and old ladies. Lots of polyester. But I LOVE how community oriented they are, and they often have Special days where you can buy whatever you can fit into a grocery bag for a flat price. All my donations now go here instead of Goodwill.
