Walgreens

Hm, well, I guess it depends on what day you go see the pharmacy at this Walgreens since the pharmacists behind the counter (Dr. Bennett and some other guy whose name I didn’t catch) were way cooler than the two pharmacists mentioned in my previous review. Both were patient and friendly and went out of their way to make sure that my insurance would fully cover a flu shot.
As always, very courteous employees/​managers on the floor making sure that I was finding everything okay.
I like this Walgreens quite a bit.

It’s a Walgreens, just like all other Walgreens. The only thing that sets this one apart from all the other Walgreens is that there is no customer service. More then once, we’ve been given the, «talk to the hand» gesture. There’s another Walgreens in the next block and that is where you’ll see my $‘s spent.

I have never had better pharmacy service at any other Walgreens anywhere than I did here. I recently moved to St. Louis from Chicago and I had so many problems picking up my prescription from any location in Chicago. Yet… when I needed to transfer prescription from Chicago to St. Louis, it was taken care of by Karen, and she did a real amazing job with checking with the doctor and calling me back.

When I get into the scrap-​booking mood I always order my digital photo prints from Walgreens. The print quality has always been better than Walmart. I like the convenience of uploading photo’s from home directly to my account on the Walgreens website. Then I can submit the order for pick up at any Walgreens location I want. On a few occasions the website has been down, which can be a little annoying.
I created my online account a few years ago and since then I got married and changed my name. In the chaos of marriage, moving and changing my last name on all my major accounts, I missed changing my last name on my Walgreens account. It’s never been a huge deal and I still never remember to change it. Every time I go to pick up photo’s, I always ask for them under my married name.
The customer service is very hit or miss. Typically, the photo specialist is completely detached from their job. I’ve even had someone check me out while talking on their cell phone! However, my last visit blew me away. I had the best customer service I have ever had at any Walgreens photo center. Like always, I went in and asked for my photo’s under my married name and when no photo order was found I sheepishly responded with, «oh that’s right their probably under my previous name.» The photo specialist was completely with it and engaged, you know the type of employee that sees a problem and fixes it rather than walks away from the problem. He asked if I would like him to update my name in the system so that next time they’re under my new name, and just like that it was changed.
