Hands down the best deli in the area. Great environment and even better food. The cajun turkey is a must try. The sandwiches keep you coming back.

Absolutely delicious. They slice the meat and cheese right in front of you as you order, and the bread is as fresh as can be.

Fantastic food! A little place tucked away in a small shop area. Family run and fantastic. They serve with a grateful attitude and are happy to serve. I came for a few lunches in a row and will be back. Roast beef and pastrami are some of the best. The chicken tortilla soup is like nothing I have had before its creamy and full of flavor. If you can’t decide what you want, just ask one of the young men to fix you something. You can’t go wrong with anything here. Watching them fresh cut all the deli meat for each sandwich shows their quality and pride in what they do. Definetly will become a favorite. I will also be ordering any lunch and learns group lunches from here.

Great food! Even better people but the prices are a little high. Also this place is consistently packed so the wait might be a little bit but the food is worth it.

They use the freshest and most natural food of any deli I have ever been to! They are very friendly and the service is great. I wish they had the option to grill your sandwich and maybe some more vegetarian options(eggplant, egg salad was out, hummus).

Great sandwiches! We had the Italian, Reuben and a Turkey with bacon and jalapeño cheese. We also had a few cups of the lobster bisque. It was all very good and we will be back! The bread was just like you want sub sandwich bread to taste.

The BEST sandwich shop in St. Louis! I got the freshly made Vivola’s Italian Classic and it was absolutely delicious! Everyone here was so friendly and they are awesome. This place gets packed super fast during lunch, but so worth it.

One of my all time favorite sandwich places. The family behind the counter is always super friendly, makes great recommendations and encourages sampling of the meats/cheeses etc. I highly recommend the hot pastrami sandwich, which is a delicious mess. They never skimp on the meat. Perfect for a quick lunch hour meal. There will be a line, but it moves quick.

THEBEST sandwich and soup shop! I’ve heard all of their soups are amazing; but because they have the best lobster bisque; I just can’t make myself get anything else there! Ha! Love their mesquite turkey with smoked Gouda on a pretzel roll. Their service is STELLAR! The nicest family that runs this biz! If you haven’t been here yet, you are missing out!

If I could give 6 stars, I would. This is the kind of place you eat at the beginning of the week, and there isn’t anything that can piss you off that week because you had Vivolas on Monday. The meatball sandwich is to die for, and I’m not kidding; it’s the kind of meatball grandma spends all day in the kitchen slaving over. The family who runs the place is incredibly humble too! All in all, a special hidden gem in Saint Louis.

What a great find tucked away in a strip mall! I came here for lunch with coworkers. This small family owned Italian deli is legit. The meat and cheeses are sliced right in front of you. The employees are so sweet and outgoing. I had the meatball sub combo with cheesy chicken tortilla soup. The meatballs were amazing. I’ll be back for another one… soon. It was well priced as well. My lunch was around $ 10 including a drink.

It’s great when they haven’t run out of bacon! Stand in that long line to get up to order and find out they’ve run out of something. They should put a sign up that lets you know when you walk in there out of something. How do you run out of so many main ingredients during lunch hour?! Other than that… when they do have the ingredients the food is great! Skip Subway and visit Vivola!

Best and freshest sandwiches around. Family owned the service is always great and given with a smile. Because it is so awesome, the line at lunch gets long fast, but it is worth the wait.

Delicious but a bit on the pricey side. I splurge and get soup and a sandwich here on occasion. Their lobster bisque is amazing, the seasonal squash soup was so good as well. Sandwiches are well made with lots of bread and topping options. Service is very friendly, you can tell this is a family owned and run operation.

I had a corned beef sandwich with lobster bisque for lunch and both were just ok to me. I saw other people with sandwiches that looked 100% better and I will try them next time. I will admit that I’m extremely hard on restaurants or delis who sell corned beef sandwiches being a native of Cleveland. The problem with this sandwich is that it has far too much bread without enough meat!!! A larger portion of meat should be standard on these sandwiches although, I must tell you that the meat tastes very good. Because of the taste of the meat, the outstanding customer service, & the appetizing look from other individual’s sandwiches, I will definitely try them again & recommend them to others. They trump Subway by a long shot. Plus they have excellent pickles!

Pretty good sandwiches in a place that is pretty easy to miss. Seriously, this is a ‘find it if you’re a local/word of mouth’ kinda place. If you’re not SPECIFICALLY looking for this place you’ll wind up at Subway… and nobody wants that! I opted for the reuben on toasted rye. They were sold out of regular corned beef so I accepted their suggestion of a pastrami reuben. The sandwich was delicious! Tangy mixed with peppery accented by the ugly bite of swiss cheese(something I will only eat on a reuben — nowhere else) and it was a great combination of flavors. It is worth noting that they have a great selection of meats, cheeses breads and vegetables that can be combined in any combination. Also worth mention is the fact that they cut all meats and cheeses as the sandwiches are ordered. Not sure why but this really appeals to me. We had a late lunch so there was no line to worry about. I’m not sure how long I would have been willing to stand in line at this place but will certainly return if the timing is right.

Great lunch spot not too far from the office. Had a reuben(for those who know me, this is not a big surprise) — the meat was good, the toppings were tasty and proportions were right, and I do love a marble rye. I don’t know if they toast bread on request, but it is about the only way my sandwich could have been better. Yummy sandwich, bag of chips, and fountain drink for well under $ 10. I am puzzled by the existence of the Subway in the same strip mall — does anyone actually eat there, with Vivola’s that close?! I certainly wouldn’t but maybe people get intimidated by the line and Subway catches some overflow. I’ll be back to try the BLT on hawaiian bread… the boss had it and it looked delicious.

Things to note. parking lot gets nuts and the place gets a line… if you can go early or late it’s a great idea. Vivola’s is so efficient at helping customers you never really have to wait very long though. I have tried a few different sandwiches and everything has been so awesome. I love how they have a cooler full of meat and slice it as you order. no pre-weighed slices of meat. The guys and girls that work there are HAPPY to work there. You never see attitude or poor customer service. If you are in the general area do youself a favor and have lunch there!

OMG. This place is amazing! I work nearby and have been here several times for a quick lunch. A few things — 1. Everyone who works here is just so friendly! Even after the second-ish time I came, they remembered me! 2. Even though their lunch is really, really busy, they’re really, really fast. 3. The sandwiches are great! They have a big selection of deli meats, cheeses, breads, etc. 4. The prices are decent. They have a sandwich + side + drink deal that is about $ 9 I think. I can deal with that. 5. For me, it’s literally a two minute walk from where I work so the location could not be better. No idea why anyone would go to the Subway two doors down over this place! I’ll be back at least weekly!
