Universal Food Market had this special ingredient(hot pepper paste) that the other international store did not have nor did like 5 other places we looked. They definitely have some authentic Korean goodies. Would shop here again. It doesn’t look like a small grocery store on the outside don’t judge a book by it’s cover, at least there was a nice parking lot.

The location is very good. It is very close to highway 55 and it is very close to my house. You can find a vast variety of produce and fish. The staff is awesome! The only thing that would make the experience off the hook would be if they delivered. It has been a long time since I have had really good chicken adobol. I am learning how to make chicken adobo and they have everything I need to make it. Thanks!

This asian store food market is jut ok! it’s a good location for right off the highway. some stuff is ok priced to overpriced. the great thing about this place is that they have fresh food on the weekends. wish they would have it every morning considering how many people(asians especially) would stop by and pick up some food before work. i have a few coworkers that always stop every weekend and bring food into work wishing they could buy it everyday. the fresh food is reasonable priced only because it’s actually someone else that is hired in to make the food.

The people here are helpful and have gone out of their way to help me find what I was looking for. I’ve been able to find things here that I haven’t found at the other Asian markets. **I think it’s pretty silly for the person who gave this business a 1 star just because of the slight discrepancy in the listing name. He rated this business a 4 star on the other listing. This is a unfairly driving this business’ rating down.

Service is very friendly and a good selection of Asian groceries(instant noodles, banh mi, and frozen tofu).

This market is okay. Really ok. My parents & I came here to a near empty store for our usual Saturday shopping last Saturday. There are 2 entrances(the left goes to the market & the right goes to a smallish Vietnamese restaurant). The menu offerings are posted near the entrance. It is quite small(about 4 items; each less than $ 10). The veggies aren’t quite fresh, & the offerings are a bit limited. The one thing that irked me was smallish puddles of water(I assume) in an aisle with no safety cones whatsoever. No one bothered to clean it up. This place is a bit hard to find. You can see it off 55, but exit Broadway. Look up, & see the sign. There is no ground level sign.

Stopped in today. It was their soft opening and they aren’t fully stocked yet but I can tell already that this will be a great addition to South City! I’m a big fan of the Olive Farmers Market and this place looks like it could end up being fairly close in size and scope of products. It’s a very large space and so far the produce looks amazing. There is also a small food court restaurant thing going in the front. Like I said they’re not fully open or stocked yet but should be in the next week. I’ll revise my review once they’re fully operational. But I gotta say I’m so happy to see this place open! It’ll probably save me sone trips to Olivette!

Universal Food Market is a new Asian grocer in the Dutchtown neighborhood. They’re still stocking the shelves so I am excited to see what else will be available besides a limited fresh and frozen fish supply, nice produce selection, frozen dim sum selection(perfect for party apps), lots of soup and curry bases, beverages, candy, rice, etc. it looks like they are also adding a cafeteria style dining area.
