The Webster Groves Bookshop

I stopped by tonight to get a quick gift for my granddaughter and even though they were just closing, the nice saleswoman let me in and helped me with a great selection of books… And even threw in some chocolate and a decorative pencil and offered to gift wrap! I will definitely return… I hope these wonderful independent bookstores stay in business and appreciate their service …

Wonderful little shop. I had a great conversation with the proprietor who recommended a ton of good reading for my flight today. The shop has a modest selection, focussing on high quality, current best sellers, etc.

I absolutely love this little corner bookstore! Since I am trying to by local and small stores when I can, I called to inquire about 4 books my husband might like. Lo and behold, they had them all! Their recommendations narrowed my choices down and I found other wonderful things such as a great calendar and cool looking puzzle. All my gifts were wrapped, bowed and tagged also! I felt good about spending my money here… ALWAYS GREAT SERVICE!!!

How can I not love a book shop where the owner remembers me when I was little? I haven’t grown much taller but look a little different now, but she always remembers where I live, my occupation and more little facts. I’ve been patronizing this book shop for years, having bought many children’s books as a child and now buying them for children of friends. They have a ton of cute ornaments and decorations throughout the holiday season and also many little games and toys that are super fun, even for adults. And the prices on these things are awesome!
I always find a good book here and when I check out, am reminded why I come again and again. The people who work here are so nice. They gift wrap for free (and I suck at wrapping, so I always take them up on it!). They can order anything you need that they don’t have. I ordered a book for my hubby and will have it well in time for the holidays.
