Ahhh, The SPOT. Truly a new place for GLBTQ youth (anyone between ages 13 – 24) to pass time and receive important health attention that they deserve AT NO CHARGE. FREE I said! The Spot’s principles and purpose are modeled after the Broadway Youth Center in Chicago, IL.
They offer youth:
–Drop-​in Services
–HIV/​STD Testing
–Medical Care
–Counseling
–Case Management
–Education & Vocation
Their locale is in a two-​story building within the «loft-​looking» area of the Central West End. The ambiance is modern with flat-​screen TVs, a lounge, computers with internet access, washer/​drying machines to do laundry, showers, board games & more!
I hope to see the SPOT be a success within the GLBT community as it has been in Chicago since 2004.
