The Abyss

This haunted house was pretty unique in the fact that it was in a brick basement of an old, supposedly real haunted, brewery. We got the fast pass so we didn’t have to wait longer than 20 minutes to actually get in. The first 5 minutes of the haunted house was awesome, extremely intense, and scary. They have it dark as hell in there with very little lighting. There are these red lights that is at eye level that is blinding that keeps your eyes constantly out of focus. It was a really nice touch.
However…this haunted house is like all the others, they let it too many people at a time with not enough of a gap between. In less than 5 minutes you’re with the people ahead of you who caught up to the people ahead of them and it’s just one long single file line through where you don’t get the scares and it’s just annoying. meh…

I am not a haunted house connoisseur but this was a lot of fun. Came on a week night so it wasn’t crowded. It is very dark and decorated through out in all kinds of scary stuff. Overall it was the right amount of scary for me — fun but not horrible. The characters were appropriate and would work to scare you but not go too far.
