Pastries are good, cakes are amazing. But we warned you most order your cake at least 3−4weeks in advance bc they book up quick. Lunch nachos are tasty kale salad IS all that

I’m not a vegetarian or a vegan, but I could eat this great food everyday and not miss the meat. The cupcakes are awesome too. Delicious and creative like the art.

Everything about Sweet Art is incredible. Delicious food at a very affordable price. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere is warm and inviting with a handwritten menu and local art on the walls. The banh mi sandwich was amazing. It, and the kale side, were amazingly flavorful. Great food that just happens to be vegan/vegetarian. Better yet, cupcakes for dessert! What more could you ask for? You won’t miss meat/dairy one bit, trust me.

Trying out a new place for my vegan daughter. Great atmosphere, friendly staff, décor is cool and so inviting and comfortable. Girls had red velvet cupcakes, so amazing. Got the throw back burger: really, this is crazy good.

I can wholeheartedly say that this is hands down my favorite Café in STL. I tried it out this past summer and I been hooked ever since. The atmosphere is beautiful, warm, and loving. I’m crazy about art so I really do Appreciate that the owners husband showcases his beautiful pieces on the walls which transform’s the space into sort of a lovely little gallery as well as a café. The staff members are always friendly and happy, and they always greet you with a smile and kind words which I truly love. They actually look like they really ENJOY their Jobs, are happy to serve you, and are quite knowledgeable about the ingredients of the items on the menu which I greatly appreciate when I’m dining in a restaurant/café. Everything I have tried thus far has been a hit with me. The Veggie Burgers can win over even the most stubborn of meat eaters. The Salted Caramel Pecan Bars and Caramel Cake… will make you hurt yourself if you aren’t too careful lol, you will mess around and inhale two or three pieces before you know it and go into sugar shock lol because they are JUSTTHATDELICIOUS! And don’t even get me started on those delicious homemade buttermilk biscuits and wonderful flavors of Quiches(My favorite was the Roasted Garlic) LOVETHEM! I go there every other weekend JUST to get those two items alone. I never thought Vegan/Vegetarian food could be so flavorful and delicious. I would recommend that even if you are not a vegan you try this café out at least once.

Better than expected. The food was fresh, flavorful… very pleasant staff. Annoyed that I didn’t get take-out for dinner. A must for any vegan! My new favorite place to eat in St. Louis.

The sweet burger was absolutely delicious and the atmosphere was amazing. I’m so happy that i found such a wonderful vegetarian place. I will definitely be back… not just for the food but for the art, which was inspiring! Dont sleep on this place.

I LOVE this restaurant! Everything is from scratch and so tasty and healthy. My most recent favorite is a lentil stew – creamy, slight curry and sweet flavor — delicious!

Hands down one of my favorite food spots in Saint Louis. As someone who has severe dairy allergies, the vegan options here coincide well within my diet when I want something sweet. The vegan brownies are to die for, the cupcakes are delicious(carrot cake and chocolate mint are my favorites), the ambience is really dope too with Cbabi Bayoc’s paintings lining the walls. I simply cannot get enough of SweetArt!!!

This is my favorite spot for cupcakes and brownies. You can just feel the love, warm, and soul in every bit. Harmony Cupcake 5⁄5: the word is perfect for this soft and flavorful item. Vegan Browie5/5: Best of the best brownies …100% brownie perfection!!! Hummingbird 5⁄5: all I can say is OHWOW! If I had to get deserts for a gift for someone; this would most definitely be my 1st choice. Not only are their desserts superb in taste, but the presentation is simple, plain yet elegant in the boxes they come it somehow. My only complaint would be the sweet burger seems to be getting smaller and smaller on each visit but the price goes up. I understand food costs can go up but portion size shouldn’t get smaller at the same time. Staff is always nice wonderful environment!!! Overall: 4.5÷5

Never a bad experience! I absolutely love EVERYTHING I’ve had here. Every cupcake, cinnamon rolls, breakfast burrito, sweet burger, ect. Great customer service and it’s always a great vibe when I walk in. My ONLY complaint is the hours. They are very inconsistent and just not open for business enough. Wednesday-Saturday hours, that’s it. It’s kind of annoying to have to wait so long to get in especially when I’m craving it. IDK the purpose or reason behind the hours but I’d like to see them expand them. Other than the hours, this is a great place to go for sweets and treats and light meals. I say light because all food is vegetarian and vegan and I’m neither. Lol but the sweets cater to everybody with a few vegan options for vegans.

FINALLY, a shop that sells cupcakes with a NORMAL amount of frosting. Not to mention that said frosting actually tastes really good… oh my goodness. I am relieved. The cake itself is very moist and flavorful and is actually complimented by its modest frosting crown. For me, the vegan vs. non-vegan designations are irrelevant as I am not a vegan, but because I couldn’t tell the difference anyway. I will 100% be back to try their savory options, and next time I’m in the market for a birthday cake, Sweet Art will be my first stop. As an aside, I want to try their traditional Southern«hummingbird» flavor which is offered occasionally.

I wrote my original review 5 years ago. I’ve been buying Reine’s glorious chocolate layer cakes since that time for every special occasion. My friends demand the cake, rave about it to others and look forward to having it. I cannot overstate how central this cake has become to my family. A family birthday without this cake would be considered a disaster and I would have to move out of the family home. This cake is a work of art and Reine, Cbabi and their bakery are a City treasure.

Definitely one of my favorite places in St. Louis. For being a vegan restaurant the food is spectacular. They have a bakery window and either a breakfast or lunch option menu as well. Very good choices and also they change things up! So it’s not the same thing all the time but varied. Standouts to me are definitely the chocolate chip cookie and the cinnamon rolls served only on Saturday mornings! I swear to you these are made by God himself Highly highly recommend place to visit.

All I can say is WOW! This bakery and café is as good as it gets. First off, the staff is wonderful… very friendly and hospitable as soon as you walk through the door. The interior is relaxed, full of soul(there are great paintings on the wall for sale by a local artist) and simple… feels like your in your home away from home. Full of bright, warm colors. They are usually playing some fun music like Reggae. You get a joyful, warm vibe when you walk in. Love it. Second, they have a full breakfast and lunch menu that is VEGAN! Tons of amazing vegan items… I don’t ascribe to the vegan diet but I’ve had several sandwiches and salads on the menu now and I’m telling you, if I could eat like this everyday I wouldn’t miss meat. Their Kale Yeah salad is delicious with a nutty, gingery, slightly sweet dressing… cuts the bitterness of the kale just right. Their Make it Funky burger is the best phở-meat burger I’ve ever had… rich, buttery, delicious. They have traditional baked goods and an array of vegan baked goods, fresh out of the kitchen everyday. The cupcakes here are some of the best cupcakes I’ve had to date. Their cake is perfectly moist yet structured, and their icing is just the right sweetness with just the right amount. My favorite cupcake is the Harmony… yellow cake with chocolate buttercream frosting… SOGOOD. They usually have quite a few to choose from. Also, their buttermilk scratch biscuit is fantastic… you do NOT need butter with this baby… just scarf it down plain! I can’t imagine eating this with fried chicken. I also have to rave on their vegan cinnamon roll… seriously, best cinnamon roll I’ve ever had. And i like Cinnabon and my mom’s scratch cinnamon rolls but these guys are different… they’ve got some subtle spice going on in the background and it just knocks it out of the park… the dough is moist and extra cinnamony and gooey with icing… WOW. This is hands down my fav bakery in St. Louis. Please do yourself a favor and go!!!

I was not as impressed with the sweet burger as I expected to be based in the reviews. Maybe next time I’ll try to «make it funky» with the bbq sauce or the throwback with cheese. The kale salad is delicious. I have no idea what this magic dressing is but nah it never go away. But Yall, these baked goods are AMAZING. the blackberry vanilla vegan cupcake was so good. I cannot believe it’s vegan. It really makes me question all my previous skepticism about vegan baked goods. The strawberry lemonade cupcake is good, my friend likes it more than I did. The blackberry Lemon muffin(not vegan) delicious.

Sweet Art is a cute little bakery on the South side of St. Louis, near Tower Grove park. The owners are a husband & wife team. The wife whips up the sensational sweets and her hubby is the talented artist whose work you can find on display inside their café. It’s mostly a bakery, but they have some food items too, like sandwiches & wraps. They’ve never had a «standard» food menu; they rotate dishes at their discretion. This can be a bummer if you’re in the mood for something that’s out of rotation. However, the popular Sweet Burger remains a constant on the menu. Luckily for me, that’s my favorite food item, so when I returned to STL last weekend I could count on being able to order that. SWEETBURGER: Don’t expect a re-heated, frozen, store-bought patty. This made from scratch patty, protein packed with lentils, is always fresh and tasty. I like to add caramelized onions, veggie bacon, and extra of their yummilicious«Magic» spread.(I do which they’d bottle and sell that!) There’s a reason they keep this burger on the menu… It’s a winner! FLAD: In a nutshell, it’s chili — vegan chili — and it’s delicious! Comprised of different types of beans, spices(it is perfectly spicy!), and sweet potatoes. Yes. Sweet potatoes. I know. I made a face too when I first learned what was in it. But I grew tired of everyone yapping about how delicious it was, so I decided to try it for myself, and I was instantly hooked. On this last trip home, I called ahead to check if it was in rotation yet, being that it was already cold in STL, I assumed it would be. The girl who answered initially just said, it wasn’t available. But after instructing her to inquire about a catering-sized order(I was in town for a party and needed at least 1 thing that I could eat.), she called me back with a price quote. Accepted! It was as delicious as ever, and even the omnivores at the party were smashing my vegan chili! On to desserts… BROWNIES: Some of the best brownies you’ve ever had. Rich, moist, super chocolatey, sinfully delicious, and vegan. No one would ever guess they were vegan. BIGMOMMAROLLS: A Saturday morning special, which rarely lasts more than a couple of hours past opening time. These babies fly! Warm, soft, sweet, melt-in-your-mouth cinnamon rolls(and I’m no cinnamon bun fan), which are also unbelievably vegan. I called right after they opened and requested they hold a few rolls for me to pick-up with my chili order. I lucked up and scored regular Big Momma Rolls ANDVEGANCARAMELAPPLE Rolls! FTW! There’s always at least 2 – 3 vegan cupcake flavors, which will be labeled as such. Of course, they have regular, non-vegan cupcakes as well. I like their vegan chocolate and vegan red velvet cupcakes. I’m not a fan of their vegan vanilla cupcakes though; they’re not as moist and yummy as I like my vanilla cakes to be. They also have an assortment of other baked goods, but they aren’t always labeled(as vegan), so just ask. The staff is typically knowledgeable about their vegan vs vegetarian offerings. Great little café/bakery/art shop. Definitely worth a visit for any veg*n, foodie, cupcake-lover, etc, in or passing through St. Louis.

Totally rad family place for a great lunch or craft desserts. We caught them just before closing — beware they close a bit early if your looking to nosh on non-dessert food(lunch ends at 3pm). The yellow cupcakes with chocolate frosting was soooo moist — it reminded me of childhood box mixed cake, but no way Jose, it’s all fresh from scratch here. The lemon cookies were very lemony. The espresso tasted really good — no murky lurky in this places caffeine boosted drinks. I am looking forward to trying to get to the Saturday brunch — the timing is tight only serving from 9−11am.

This place is fantastic. Great atmosphere with the wooden counter and tables. Small and long tables to accomodate various parties. I came to do some work(yes they have wifi) and ordered a strawberry lemonade cupcake and ginger peach tea($ 5 for both). The cupcake was magnificient and the tea was very high quality. Even better, they have mini-cupcakes for all their flavors. These are 2 – 3 bite cakes and go for $ 1.25($ 14/dozen). It’s great to get a few of these so you can try the various delicious flavors without eating or spending too much. Whats more, they have a cupcake happy hour. All day Tuesday, and from 4pm-close on Wed and Thurs. During this, you get regular cupcakes for $ 2 and minis for $ 1. There is no better time and place to indulge your sweet tooth. The girl working at the counter was friendly and helpful. Bring cash for a 10% discount!

So, I live within walking distance of Sweet Art, but the only other time I have been was when they were doing something for charity. Anyway, because I tend to order WAY too much food for a person my size(I like leftovers… Don’t judge) I got: Mini fauxtess cupcake — shining star of what I ordered. Moist. Chocolatey and rich but not sugar coma inducing Mini sweet potato pie cupcake — I love these little bite sized cupcakes, but feel I would need to try a full size of this flavor to determine how much I actually like it… Snicker doodle — exactly what a snicker doodle cookie should be. Moist without melting in your mouth due to too much butter, with a good ratio of cinnamon sugar on top Vanilla bundt with chocolate pastry filling — have yet to eat, but oddly smells like Sweet Art itself… Which is not how a bundt cake should smell… A bit nervous to taste it as a consequence. Friendly cashiers who seem shocked by a tip. Oh and a 10% discount if you pay cash!
