I stopped by one night after work, primarily because I had heard good things about the food and been recommended by another establishment. I had the duck confit quesadilla. It’s definitely a fresh take on a traditional dish and is quite tasty. It is a quesadilla by preparation, but is quite a different take on the Mexican preparation of a quesadilla. It has been elevated with salad greens, tasty sauce, and overall presentation. They have a good selection of beer, which I enjoyed. I would like to try more items on the menu when I return and update my review accordingly.

I stop by here on a semi-regular basis and the workers have always been extremely nice and courteous. Prices are very reasonable, very good beer selection and the food is fantastic.

The food here is amazing, and we’ve only had take out, I’d wager it’s even better eating in. Make sure you check the Daily Specials board! Great beer selection, awesome staff behind the bar(and I’m sure throughout the house!) It’s the kind of place where I’d love to be a regular. Has a slightly off-the-beaten path feel to it with top notch fare you’d find in more expensive places. Sit at the bar and listen to the music hey have playing on a Sunday night and you feel like you’re listening to your own playlist. Steak sandwich, stellar. Of course the grid are a must have with the Gouda dipping sauce. The chicken tenders are not the frozen kind, love that panko breading. Killer onion rings, a duck quesadilla? Fantastic. Really can’t go wrong with the menu and like I said, it’s he staff that puts the place over the top

Sure, it’s not the fanciest but there’s smoked gouda cheese fries and late kitchen hours. Need I say more?

So we really like Sandrinas. Libby and Nelson are amazing and will cater to your every need. If you go are going for late night food, like earlier late night food, say 11pm, you will be met with incredible service. The full menu is also served until 2am, but it tends to get really busy after midnight. The food is pretty good. The only thing I can say is that the nachos aren’t the same as they used to be. Too much red sauce and not enough of the good stuff. However, they are still served on fried flour tortillas, which are amazing. All and all, I think Sandrinas is a good place, with excellent service and good food. Just please bring back the old nachos! :)

I love Sandrinas food! I am a vegetarian and frequently get one of the following: Filafel sliders, mac and cheese(huge portion for $ 5!), grilled cheese with fried egg, and more! They have friendly service and good beer too.

I like Sandrinas. It’s my go-to neighborhood bar, and has been for years. Honestly, I thought I’d already reviewed it. It’s a pretty standard neighborhood bar, with inexplicably good food.

It’s a three am bar, so expect the bartenders to be assholes. Good food. Fair selection of beer. Usually gets packed after the 130 bars close.

I enjoy stopping by Sandrina’s for a late-night drink or something to eat. The menu has a lot of items from a variety of different cuisines that allow you to have a little of this, a little of that, depending on your mood. If you’re looking for a quiet meal, I recommend stopping by before midnight, though. Lol. The nonsense I’ve heard about the owner being a racist is just that, nonsense. Putting out someone she doesn’t like who happens to be of a different race doesn’t make her a racist, it just makes her someone who put out someone she didn’t like. If you have a problem with that, fine, but attack that issue on its own merits. I’m black and I try to stop by whenever I’m in town, and I have never, ever, seen anyone ejected from Sandrina’s because of race. Using race in this way undermines the fight against the very real racism people of color face in St. Louis all the time.

I definitely learned a lesson tonight. Don’t trust reviews from a 3am bar. We’ve been house hunting on the south side for a while. I was trying to find a dinner spot on a Sunday night and came across this place. It has a lot of reviews and many stars. How could this go wrong? When we walked in, we waited about 5 minutes for a hostess. We were told by the bartender to seat ourselves. There was maybe 2 or 3 other tables when we seated. Come to find out, the bartender was also the host, waiter, server and busboy. Our service was pretty good, no complaints there. There were two cooks in the kitchen so i was hopeful but worried. The menu is all over the place, no real theme. In a place with such a small number of guests i asked many questions. I was told i didn’t want the«catch of the day» the meatloaf i was told was good. I asked if it was fresh and was told yes, so i asked fresh like made today? Nope, yesterday. So between my gf and i, she ordered a salad and a pizza. I went for t ravs and some fries since i was kinda hesitant of ordering anything i want sure was frozen and fried. They have ahi tuna, duck confiet, both for insanely cheap. That scares me.. I’ve worked At many restaurants. Everything i had fried was either not cooked all the way or soggy and old. I cook a lot and am a foodie. I assume the pizza took a while, but I’m guessing they put my t ravs and fries down before the pizza was made. The t rav were soggy, kinda hot to touch but cold in the middle. My fries were not cooked all the way. I’m sure it would have been so good had it been hot. The server apologized and i know it wasn’t her fault. She didn’t charge me for the food i was served, and i was kinda an ass. She asked if i wanted it made again i told her i know how places work and i didn’t want to get my food spit on. I left a 40% tip bc i knew it wasn’t her fault. If i did go back i wouldn’t eat

My wife and I ate here last night. Ribs were cooked and seasoned perfectly. The Mac and cheese is amazing. Shrimp bisque had perfect flavor. The quesadillas were superb. We order a lot so we have left overs. Can’t say enough about the quality of service and food. One of our favorite places and they serve until 2 or 2:30am. Meaning at 9 the kitchen is putting out great food vs the normal deal where they have shut down or seriously want to and your meal will be regrettable, at best.

Excellent neighborhood pub. Their mac and cheese is serious, and I really enjoyed the BLT. It’s a huge serving, and I wound up saving some of it, the mac and cheese, and mash potatoes for some really great leftovers the next day! Comfortable seating, great music, friendly staff, and very clean restrooms. Hope to come back the next time I’m around!

One of my favorite local locations. Nothing particularly fancy but it’s a corner bar to head down to with some friends, grab a few drinks, and shoot the shit. I do miss the shuffleboard table, which they only recently removed; but otherwise, it’s a great little bar that I visit time and again.

I pass by Sandrina’s almost everytime I visit that Schnuck’s around the corner. I’ve always wanted to check this place out and finally did! I forgot the exact day of the week I visited Sandrina’s, but it probably was for an earlier dinner. I usually like to go to first dinner early because well I’m always hungry and I like to avoid crowds. The main entrance off the corner of the street leads directly to the bar. You have to walk in and make a left to get to the main seating area. The restaurant/bar is on the darker side. There’s table shuffleboard on one wall, a tv mounted on another, and a shelf full of board games. Hungry hungry hippos caught my eye, so my wife, her friend, and I had to give it a shot. I haven’t played that game in like 10+ years probably! I was craving a burger, so I ordered the Dad’s Burger with a side of truffle mashed potatoes. The burger wasn’t anything special, it was good but nothing I can rave about. I really looking forward to the truffle mashed potatoes, mostly because I love truffle flavored items. Unfortunately I was disappointed. The potatoes were a little on the dry side, and I literally could not taste any truffle flavoring. I had my wife try it to make sure my taste buds were still working, and she agreed. Still think this is a cool establishment though. If I was to consider a place to grab some drinks and play some shuffleboard, this would be one of them.

I love this place!!! The crab cakes, shrimp, and thin crispy crusted pizzas are fantastic! Would definitely recommend for a night out for drinks and food! Plus 3am bar which is fun, too!!!

I used to think of this place as a cool 3AM bar with good late night food and great bar service, but after going just recently, it is a great restaurant with very personable service and it all happens to be available late. I ordered Jen’s Pizza on the recommendation of the bartender and I was really impressed. Jen’s Pizza is tomatoes, bacon and cubed chicken breast with smoked gouda. I had never had gouda on a pizza before, but it works so well! The default order is the Dogtown Tenders(buffalo chicken tenders with Special K breading) and they are seriously some of the best you’ll find in St. Louis. Oh… and that smoked gouda sauce is available as a dip for the pretzels/fries. You won’t regret it.

Not a fan and I’ll tell you why: my roommate, who is Indian, went there a while ago out with some work friends. When he tried to pay his tab they gave him the wrong card. He informed the staff of the error and was told that they might have given it to another Indian«you all look the same anyway.» Needless to say, he was pissed. The manager that he talked to never even apologized for the comment; just covered the tab. From my personal experience the drinks a bit pricey, the service has been fine, and the food is actually pretty good. However, I can’t excuse how my friend was treated. I try to avoid this place if at all possible.

I love Sandrinas for late nights in South City. Hanging out with a group of friends, grabbing some toasted ravioli(which, to be honest, may not *actually* be the best in STL but every time I’ve ordered it it sure did taste like it was), and sippin’ on some Stag. Awesome times. The backroom has a few old games which are great to pass the time. I’ve gone in groups ranging from 2 to 15 and the food and service has never lessened. The food is always great for bar fare whether you’re just getting some appetizers or a full meal. I’ve had their onion rings, chicken tenders, and toasted rav. All worthwhile. In winter months inside is cozy and on summer nights their sidewalk seating works great. The servers can be a little slow about getting to people sitting outside, but it’s not bad. Obviously I’m going back, the question is just when.

Sandrina’s holds a very special place in my list of favorite bars! This is a divey, gastropub. Not much on décor, but it’s a solid place to go for what it is! I’m not a fan of drive-thru late night food… ick! Whenever I have a late night, which in St Louis is around 8−9pm — where you are hard pressed to find any decent food, this is definitely the place you should go! I was turned on to this place by a bartender at another favorite bar of mine(The Famous Bar), as this place stays open until 3am and serves some pretty damn good bar food until 2am… now that right there folks is worth the price of admission! And the prices are very reasonable. Drinks are solid, music selection is good, bartenders are super nice & friendly. The chefs are pretty kick-ass too, super cool whenever they can sneak out of the kitchen and say ‘Hey“ List of food I’ve had: BBQ Shrimp — I order these EVERYTIME I set foot though those doors and I’m there at least once a week. One time I ordered them twice in one night ;-) Six huge Shrimp w/heavily seasoned with spices and butter sauce over greens and toast to soak up the seasoned butter! ***My mouth is watering*** Beer Cheese Soup — Delicious! Crab Cakes — Solid! Duck Confit Quesadillas — Yummy! But get the sauce on the side (Soup Special) Ham & Bean Soup — Now that was some delicious soup on a cold night!!! French Fries — They are hand-cut, salted perfectly, piping hot and delicious! They always have various specials on the food menu, which is great, because you can always count on your favorite menu items being there, but they also offer something different every time you come in. There is always a laid-back, feel-good vibe flowing from this place!
