Rude staff. I’ve been here a few times and they were okay, but this woman yelled at me to sit down. I’m 6 months pregnant so of course I’m going to sit down. The sign said to let staff know if you are here for a certain type of test which I was, just trying to follow directions. It’s a one hour test I had an appt for and it’s way past that time now. I really don’t have time for this and to be ignorant to patients doesn’t help much. We’ll see how the rest of this experience goes.

This is my 175th review, but it is my first one-star review. —– First, a disclaimer: I visited Quest Diagnostics three or four times between 2010 and 2013. Was that a long time ago? Yeah, it was. Will I ever go back again? Not if I can help it. —– This is a truly miserable place. On my first visit, I made the mistake of walking in without an appointment. While they accepted walk-ins at the time(and perhaps they still do), priority was quite understandably given to those who had made appointments. I did not mind waiting, but I scheduled appointments online for all future visits. Unfortunately, I found myself waiting well past my scheduled time on one visit. Of course, there was no apology for the delay. That brings me to my next point. During my visits, I began to wonder if being rude was a Quest Diagnostics job requirement. It most likely was not, but I did not encounter a single friendly employee on any of my visits. I have to assume that these people are working in a really shitty environment. That is the only thing I can think of that would have made everyone here so incredibly unpleasant. I always tried to kill them with kindness. You see, one of my personal mottos is «Be nice to those with sharp objects.» But there was one incident that really irked me: –Employee– Which test are you here for? (The question confused me. No one had ever asked me that before. I was there for the test my doctor had ordered for me the day before, but I did not know the exact name of it.) –Me– Is there more than one? –Employee– There are several. –Me– What are they? –Employee– *Sigh* Well, I have to click on each one to find out. Me: Can you do that? (I didn’t know clicking was hard, and as it turned out, the other tests were tests I’d had a long time ago. Believe it or not, I was there for the one I had not yet had. Shouldn’t that have been evident?) — — - On each visit, particularly on the one just described, I felt like I was inconveniencing the employees with my presence. They really need to get it together here. When someone comes in for a test, he/she probably is suffering from some sort of ailment. The employees could at least try to make the patient’s visit somewhat pleasant. Being a jerk from the get-go isn’t how you do that. And lest you think I’m an overly sensitive person who is dissatisfied because no one held my hand here and told me how pretty I am, let me assure you that I was not the only unhappy camper during my visits. I really hope things have improved here over the past 2.5 years, but I’m not willing to find out.

Go elsewhere, unpleasant, not helpful staff. Bad experience.
